it's been fun watching you driving this truck. I have question for you. I got mine 3-4 months ago, love it. however, the battery that comes with it died for some reason. what kind of battery should I get? or should I upgrade the battery and go with those 7.4v? please advise
Nice looking buggy. I'm not so crazy about that proprietary battery design. You're pretty much forced to use just that one kind but other than that looks nice. One thing I like to look for in RCs with brushed motors is if they're easy to take in & out a lot since brushed motors are notorious for burning out quickly. Once you get to the point of buying say your 3rd or 4th brushed motor, you might as well have swapped the RC over to a brushless motor & esc setup.

raphael bussy no don't bother those batteries aren't high discharge get the keliwow 3.7 1500 MAH they'll do just fine and make sure the wheels are screwed tight or they'll fly off

hey dude, is it possible to turn a cheap rc like wltoys 12428 into like a scale trophy truck like the one from cyconcx videos? because i want to have a trophy / baja styled realistic suspension car
you could do but the suspension would need tuning and the cyoncx cars are very heavy being all metal which makes them more realistic and the wltoys is plastic and light so it would likely bounce about alot
No you need at least an axial yeti score for that kinda project although it's gonna be very difficult anyways

should of bought this instead of wltoys 12428 it was a piece of crap; both diffs and the rear drive train broke after two or three on road light runs.
Tomahawk Films wl12428 now have steel diff upgrade, and more parts available in Amazon
Wow no way..that sucks. I got the boarse chariot ..loved that thing....til the servo burned out. Cars are so much more complex than quadcopters.the whole idea is as much go with as little repair time as possible. In fairness to my boarse car...I REALLY bashed on it..jumping snowbanks doing donuts in the road and high speed turns.not really surprised it broke. Itd Last longer than a winter if I didn't smash on it

they have $120 of my money from 4 months ago. they wont reply i started upwards of 30 tickets they just keep giving me generic responses most of which are repetitive so I don't think they are even reading the tickets. basically they took my money and sent me nothing for a drone. Bugs 3 drone. unfortunately i used CC and Not paypal. Gearbest has over 150k complaints of people ordering and not getting a product shipped. it is like they just take the order and then fuck you. no recourse no compensation no nothing. just fucking computer generated response to tickets that are never answered by an actual human. it is like there is no accountability. they are just robbing people
T. Man God man that's terrible. I ordered the maximus from them on Jan 2 and I've been tracking it and it's in the states now. Did you try all methods of contacting them? On hangouts? I know they have a few different methods to actually get in contact with them. But what you should really do is call you cc company and tell them you have been defrauded. Tell them the story and tell them they refuse to not only not refund you but won't even respond. What your cc might do is credit your account and go after them for the $$. Keep on trying bud! Tell them you have a successful yt channel and you will not stop spreading the word of how horrible they are till they make good. Do not stop the fight! I really feel for you bud. That's wierd because it seems like alot of people have good experiences with them. It's weird a big company like that won't make you right. Keep me posted bud, good luck! Also maybe my order got shipped and processed cause I went through PayPal. Which I almost didn't and almost just went through my cc.
even messaged on FB. they replied but once i gave them the info the went silent. i have tried everything. Use Paypal. that way you will get refund if gearbest screws you. I didn't use paypal. after researching and reading hours of forums and complaints it is bad. even when people do get product it is wrong, broken, counterfeit, or used.
I hope you do well. let me know how it pans out for you please. the way mine started was it was 2 weeks and they still didn't ship. after some tickets and 3 days later they posted that it was shipped. another 2 or 3 days i sent ticket to get tracking number. it is fraudulent tracking number. at this point it was a month and i was beginning to get a taste of their game. well this BS went on for the next 6 or 8 weeks i must have replied to and open more than 20 tickets. literally over 50 email interactions. I kept getting generic response like. item has ship or holiday season is slow or item was reshipped. or item is now on backorder. how the fuck it 6 weeks out and supposedly shipped twice mind you and now there answer is it is on backorder. wtf ! are they even reading the tickets i turned in. I finally just accepted the fact that they robbed my $120 for a drone. I would have never had bought if it wasn't for a YT review i seen linking me to GB.
