I think the word you were looking for is 'meld' not 'mold'. Peppers, onions and beans are a requirement in chili (my opinion). I grew up in Nebraska and the first time I ever heard about chili and cinnamon rolls was on a recent video of Flair's. We are more of a chili and cornbread family. I love seeing Gemma, she reminds me so much of our late Maggie.
To see Houston go from mourning the dispatching of (Big Mac?) To harvesting/dispatching various animals must be such a proud moment. I know for me it is! Good job Houston!

I am watching this on January 6, and we got about 6 inches of snow today. Dear sweet little Gemma, she was so excited.
Love the trapping videos. Never been in the woods to hunt or trap, only to fish along a creek or river, so this is new territory for me. Yes, Williams is the best seasoning. Yes I do add beans and Roi Tel tomatoes w/green chilis...good stuff. Occasionally I use stew meat because I like mine chunky, but I do like the idea of sausage. I will use my chili as a spaghetti sauce the next day, It's called spaghetti red. Well done.

Houston had me laughing when he said “that one in the middle is really chunky!”😂😂😂 then you pointed out that, that’s necessarily what you say to girls. His comeback was it’s okay she’s a deer, she won’t understand!😂 Love the chili recipe! I use 2 cans of rotelle instead of tomatoes, really like the fire roasted cans. Williams seasoning is my go to! I was brought up with beans in chili, usually red kidney beans, but I use bean medley that has a bunch of different beans
I have never seen anyone put mustard on chili .. we top with cheese and sour cream
As Houston gets older, he will realize not to use words like that girl is thick ...LOL
He .ight still use those words but hopefully not in ear shot of the girls.

I am of the 75% who enjoys kidney beans in my chilli. It's ironic to me that this video came out today seeing as how I had chilli for dinner today. Your's was probably better. I had a can of Hormel chilli. First time ever,more than likely the last. I wasn't impressed. Keep on keeping on,take care and God Bless!!!❤😊

The shame is I don't see them utilizes the venison as it should be. I've only seen jerky so there's no "filling the freezer" as you say. Sad.
First, when Houston said, "The one in the middle looks thick!" You did Dad talk and let him know we do not say that to the ladies. LOL As a retired teacher, I can tell you, you did good Daniel. Us, "thick" ladies appreciate you taking the time to educate him on that. Second, you cooking in the outdoor kitchen is AMAZING! That is a dream outdoor kitchen for most people and seeing you enjoy it made my evening! Thanks for doing a cook video using that amazing kitchen.
Awesome shot Houston. That chili looked good. Use beans in chili when you are low on meat. It’s added protein. Cinnamon Rolls with chili sounds goofy but the cinnamon actually will prevent gas after eating.

Great video, guys! Congrats, Houston. I’m in the upper Midwest. I grew up with a grandmother who grew a huge garden each summer. One way we used the surplus zucchini was in chili. I still make my chili that way, 40 years later. Mom always wanted to get our vegetables in, so there was always onion, celery, and bell peppers too. Mom mostly used kidney beans. I like a mix of black, kidney, and pinto beans in my chili. 🌶️
I trapped with my late husband for many many years! I was managing editor of a National trapping magazine in the 80’s for 8 years! My late husbands tombstone 4:01 has an engraving of him beaver trapping and a poem written by a gentleman from Colorado who is a poet! We never met him. Amazing memories
Amen on the “No beans in chili.” My grandma has cooked chili for years and has never and will never put beans in a pot of chili. Great video as always.

Daniel you have taught this young child the many skills of hunting, and it amazes me how well he listens and remembers what he has been taught. Of course I know you edit these, but I would imagine not much of Houston’s activity. When you are old and watch him hunt and fish, you will so enjoy these memories of these special times. Gimma is awesome.. we had daushunds and knew they hunted, but that’s the first time I’ve seen one do that. Great!

Great harvest Houston. Chilli sounds delicious but I prefer beans in mine. Different strokes for different folks.
I use the recipe right off the Chili Magic can. I add in a little chili powder, onion, small amount of Roasted Garlic. Really is good. For the bowl, I add crushed saltines, sour cream, and cheese. Very very Yummo.

That boy never fails to empress me with his skill at shooting 150 yrds. for a young teen most teens would even know what end of the gun to use lol

19:10 -- I'm making a big pot of chili WITH beans (cooked from dry - a mixed assortment of beans), hot & mild RoTel tomatos, rough-cut sirloin beef browned with onions and garlic, and my own home-made chili seasoning with cumin, cayenne, smoked paprika, ancho chili powder...let it cook on low for 2-3 hours -- then #NomNomNom !!!

Try onions and bell peppers cooked in the meat. Adds a lot of flavor. Then a dolip of sour cream on top when plated. That's how we make it. Family loves it.

Gemma did a good job tracking her considering there was no blood and she's used to tracking animals that have been deceased for a while and are probably pretty smelly. I think I'm going to make some chili for dinner tonight. Watching you make yours has inspired me. Sorry, but I do love me some chili with chili or kidney beans in mine. Here in Hawaii, we normally eat our chili with rice. I for one love your hunting/trapping videos. Thats why I've been a long time viewer of your channel. You keep your content real. I like Buschs best beans and i smooth them in the blender, you get the flavor without the bean. Then bell pepper and onion and mushrooms. Makes great chilli 😋 great video, really enjoyed it 👋later

Hi Arms family! Everyone makes chili differently. I first made mine a year ago and I'm 60 years old! As time goes by I got a lot better making it. Your version without the beans sounds delicious. Thanks for sharing your adventures with us and keep up the great videos. 👍

Gemma is the cutest little deer tracking farm dog ever. And while I don't like trapping I understand why People do it But possums are good tick eaters and raccoons are good eating I just watched Justine on early American cook raccoon and they said it was the best meat ever. Oh and Earl's cute also.
