People who are questioning your channel, don't understand what you do and what you as a family, stands for. Really positive that you are very capable of going off grid if it comes to it. We have chickens, a garden, fruit trees and fruiting plants. We have some flowers. We collect eggs. We consider ourselves Homesteaders.
I can define my life just fine.

All the donkeys are special, but hands down, the babies are pure bliss. That was wonderful how smooth it went to exchange pastures. Baker and Buffy. They are adorable and Miss Bree, has an instinct like her trip sisters. Look how special Jessie is now, along with having a little sister named Honey. They are doing so well with Jason and Brooke. Mini donkeys are adorable and very entertaining. Charlie is crazy wonderful.

The primary point of homesteading or just buying rural property is to be able to do WHATEVER YOU WANT! It’s about freedom! Growing up around farm families, I totally understand, that it cost to raise animals and if they aren't pulling their weight it cost money, I've always enjoyed the goats, and now I'm in love with the donkeys, and Jesse couldn't have a better home than Cog Hill Farm, thanks and God bless

I started watching just before you retired from law enforcement and went youtube full time.
For whatever reason, your channel is always fun to watch. I really enjoy the tractors. There is just something very therapeutic about watching machines in their element.

You shouldn't have to explain to people why you have this animal and not this. I'm on 5 acres and have 2 older llamas, chickens, and ducks. Unfortunately, my son has to take care of the birds as I can't get near them anymore. I still love seeing my chickens and my ducks.

I loved how you got the two girls in the other pasture with an imaginary leash. I also love that you are raising mini Donkeys, they are so cute and all have their own personalities. Mini Donkeys can be used as pasture guardians, so there is a place for them on a Homestead. Plus they are so full of personality and so cute! Charlie will also a good pasture guardian as well, and he is so funny and turned out to be such a good boy. I love the spotted goats, so beautiful. And the baby goats are always a joy to watch, but they grow up so fast! I like seeing the chickens in the background, since I have chickens, I'm always going to be interested in them. I love Goose and her sassy ways, keeping everyone in order. And Pepper is a cute little pig, living her best life and they all make us smile and sometimes laugh out loud! Oh, and it's your channel, you do all the creating, and work, there's always going to be those who feel they have to run everything. But I enjoy whatever you do, some more than others, but that is okay, because I know that there are other people who are interested, you cover a wide variety of topics, that's what makes it interesting. Keep up the good work, because I know you and Dee Jay put a lot of work into your channel.

A farm is any place that has animals. A homestead is a place where people live and work. That is not hard to understand. Of course I guess if one didn't grow up in that environment then I suppose it is a good question. Love the donkeys. They also are good at guarding the homestead/farm.

Great video and glad that the move was uneventful. I live on a city lot in San Diego, Ca and in my mind this is my homestead. The world seems to be so tied up in labels and stuff that you can call your channel anything that you want. I love the content and I’m very happy with it. You don’t have to have a check list of what content u have to show. Thanks for sharing and you two guys are so GREAT together!

We have a couple donkeys on our property because they are a good garden animals. They are going to be keeping the coyotes away from the chickens one would hope. We do have a livestock guardian dog he kind of guards. Everybody is so much fun to watch and break up a fight between a couple of roosters now and then, but his favorite thing is to lay and watch the gosling swimming in their little swimming pool. I’m sure he’d like to get in with them. Of course the donkeys don’t really like him all that much and neither do the Alpacas. I love your donkeys just because you have a homestead doesn’t mean you’re not allowed to have pets. If you love your doggies, you just keep going it’s no one’s business.

Buffy has one eyeliner eye, and one naked eye. Pretty cool.
With my horses, had up to 15 at one point, most as boarders, the most exciting thing was an open gate. It was SO easy to get everyone to swap pastures. I'd just get everyone to gather, then just open the gate. Each side would immediately run through the open gate to the other side. Easy peasy. Now, I have goats, and nothing is so easy anymore. haha.
I can confirm; Jessie IS still QUITE the hugger and such a sweetheart! Maybe Buffy picked up a Mini Hereford gene...her face is adorable! I love Charlie. Edit: I'm so far behind on videos I must have missed you getting rid of the remaining alpacas.

Yes donkeys seem to be in high demand as see them on a lot of you tube channels. I do miss that y'all haven't had a grow out beef animal so will be looking forward to that. I've seen on another channel where a goat with a white face was called a ghost. Maybe call her Boo? Emus can help as guardian animals, but more as backup according to the info. If all those eggs are Muscovy, you might make some money off the ducklings. Glad the baby goats are doing better.
