What impresses me most is the variety of engine types used that create amazing horsepower. Long live the performance street car.
Hydrogen powered cars should be the future not electric, theoretically itll still be a piston engine with a different fuel, so you'll still get that sound and all that comes out the back is water so it's also good for the environment. The greenies are happy and so are the enthusiasts, win win.

@@contytub Not for very long they couldn't... 45 seconds of electricity isn't going to do a neighborhood much good.
You need a giant diesel engine if you want your electricity 24 hours a day.
@@davelowets was more of a point made to emphasise how ridiculously powerfull these are ... i've seen 10k bhp motors that are rebuilt after each run. Def not made for long runs yet still impresive as hell

Very impressive. When I was first getting into cars 500 hp was the realm of Ferrari and Lambo on the street and no one was making 1500hp from a 4.0L, 6 cylinder engine. Truly amazing.

Now 1000h.p. is the new 500h.p. for the street. I managed to get close to 900 with an N/A engine, and can still cruise it on the street reliably. The engine technology and incredible materials we have today is outstanding.

Power is measured at the axle basically. There are AWD hub dyno's as well. 👍
If its AWD, then you need a dyno with TWO rollers.

Man These Guys Most Love Replacing there Turbos, Even Though Compressor Surge Sounds Cool, Its Not Cool For The Turbo! :( And These Dudes Must Looove It! Few of them were Surging at WOT! Goood Buy to Them nice Precision's, You Could see the one turbo wheel on the turbo was already rubbing on the housing! Snapping some shafts on the Daily! LOL

I think you need to lay off the meth, you are seeing and hearing things that aren't happening, none of them are surging on throttle and off throttle it doesn't damage anything.

Dandy Engines needs to bring the white car over to Hot Rod Drag Week. Not too many nearly 3K HP Fords, mostly Chevy/GM builds that make that kind of power. Would be nice to see the Blue Oval putting the stomp on them.

Can anyone explain to me what is causing the cars to move so much when it’s bolted into position on the hub dyno? I assume since it’s lifting the front left of all of the cars that is because the crankshaft spins counter clockwise but how is that energy being transferred to the car body? Purely through the engine mounts?
It's the force of the wheels spinning so fast in the back
It's the rear wheels trying to lift, and flip the chassis over. Of course the engine mounts are holding the engine in, and yes they have stress on them. Ever run a drill while holding the chuck in your hand? Same thing....
Im just happy mine makes 100hp regardless of what day it is. Thats pretty much all i'll ever get tho.

Go check out fuel techs dyno pulls they have 4 to 5.000hp pulls or pro-line racing

Can someone please explain to me how these dynos work. I don't mean how dynos work, I know that. It's just that I have noticed that these dynos involve removing the rear wheels and spinning the rear driveshafts. I find it interesting as most dynos involve harnessing the vehicles down on to rollers and simulating a road, with the rear wheels intact.
They're made that way so that they are portable, and so you don't have to cut a giant hole in the floor of your shop and dig it up to install a huge roller. If you're renting a shop, these kinds of dynos may be your only choice, as the owner of the building most likely wont let you chop his floor up.

Probably lost the RPM signal during the run or the ignition system doesn't suit the dyno input,happens a lot.
