This is what the definition of flagship killer is though. When OnePlus was in its prime, this is what they were doing, their phones had flagship level CPUs while undercutting other features to offer a great price point. Google just did exactly that with the 6A - flagship level CPU (and camera btw) at half the price of the top phones.

What makes this a landslide victory for me is the price difference. I just ordered a 6a because while I love iPhone, pixel offers as much on a budget. Guys my pixel 6a just came today and after hours of using it I can confirm the 60hz is buttery smooth, it's actually better than the 90hz I had on my Nord where I had all the animations turned off.

Excellent comparison. I lived with both these phones and the only thing that frustrates me is the fingerprint sensor on the pixel. For me it doesn't work at all. In this day and age you would think Google has nailed the fingerprint sensor as has other phone companies. Not in this case. Very disappointing. If I wasn't concerned about the sensor I'd give it an A-.
Mine works really well on my left hand. My right thumb has a scar and I just can't get it 2 work right. I use smart lock with my Garmin watch. Works really well
While just the benchmarks aren't that necessary, I think it'd be great to see you trying more everyday tasks and workflows, like testing which is faster to -take a screenshot, crop it and send to whatsapp etc. -trimming, cropping and saving a video -calculating a navigation route -open snapchat, flip camera and take a picture -exporting a video from snapchat's memories -browser speed test -install an application -how quickly snapchat/ig/tiktok filters load -how quickly whatsapp compresses a video for sending etc. Like everyday tasks where CPU, memory speed and software optimization matters. I switched from iPhone to a cheap Android and while it's snappy at loading apps etc. I can easily tell that the CPU lacks power whether I'm adding few screen recordings together in capcut, sending it in whatsapp, scanning some receipts and saving them as pdf and so on. Pretty much everyday I do something, some task, that makes me think "this would've been so much faster on a flagship device"

Apple has a massive 55% with Samsung trailing behind with 30% in the US There isn't any way in a million years that Google will surpass Samsung. Especially when it comes to Android, Samsung is the company who makes the bleeding edge improvements and innovations for their phones. Outside of the US, Samsung has a massive market share though with 72% compared to apples 28%. Google pretty much doesn't even exist outside of the US. If you went up to a person in Europe and told them you had a Google pixel, they wouldn't even know what that is guaranteed.

I hate to admit, I'm going back to my iphone, first issue with my 6a is the fingerprint sensor, I am a businessman and needs a fast unlock. Also, 6a is fast but I need a smoother transitions and animations, and a very simple OS which is the iphones boring OS. Sorry 6a, but overall you're the best but its just not on for my preference.

Faceid isn’t as fast as everyone makes it Out to be. Having to swipe up when you unlock your phone makes the experience slower than my p6 even. This is in a 13pro as well.
I just got the iPhone 13 in May and it is grate. My sister got her Pixel 6 around the same time. She has had nothing but problems with her phone. She is not sure if it is the phone or her server?

Google almost killed the Pixel 6a here in the UK all July the Pixel 6 was reduced to £449 only £50 more then the 6a.

Buy an iPhone se 3 if you want performance at a cheap price. The Pixel is about average regarding performance at it’s price.

Your comments are all right but if you test the same two phones two years later, iPhone will destroy that pixel speed wise.
6a is using Tensor G1chip. Thats why it can cope well with the iPhone 13. Its a flagship chip.

Wait until you realize you could go to developer settings and turn on .5x animation which speeds up the animation a lot
