I have this monitor to go with my 4080 Super & words cant even describe how amazing this monitor is.. will be upgrading to the 5090 when it come out 😎
Great video. Awesome that you showed tekken. Can't wait till mine comes in
Thank you! And I'm SO hyped for Tekken 8! What will you play Tekken on? Maybe we can get some games in when it releases. I'm not very good, only about 100 hours in T7 and main Kazumi in brown rank.
@@leodonuts im going to play it on pc. Its crossplay tho. Im a Xiaoyu main.
3090 to 4090 was a big leap according to all price to performance ratios. Im getting this and mot the 27in solely because i plan to go fron my 3090 to a 5090/80.
Glad you enjoy it man. I cant wait to get mine within the next few weeks.
Great Video! I ordered mine , it should be here soon
Thank you so much, it is very much appreciated! I hope this monitor blows you away as much as it did to me. What are you upgrading from?
Here's just a small suggestion, as I'm watching you change out monitors. Thumb screws. My monitor arm came with them and I love it.
Ah, good suggestion. I actually got a new arm mounts at my work and they came with thumb screws and definitely felt the installation to be much easier. Small QoL change, but noticeable. I'll keep that in mind for the future 🙏🏽
Getting mine tomorrow, thanks for the review!
Since you see keeping it for 5+ years, do you do any current precautions for burn-in? I'm concerned I'll get obsessed about persistent UI elements in games like Overwatch. Cheers!
That's exciting, hopefully you like it! The only precaution i have is having wallpaper engine and using moving wallpapers lol.
The monitor itself does a bit of refreshing when you turn it off after longer sessions, too. So, i think they have some built in precautions. Honestly games like OW are quick enough that constant UI stuff shouldn't be an issue since it's not present when you're in queue. I would only be cautious of the UI that shows frames, temp, etc...because those are always on
Best display I have ever seen
Truly and it seems that you're not the only one. This is one of the biggest hits at this year's CES and I'm very happy with it!
I must've gotten a dud.. my c3 looks better..
I’m getting mine in the mail tomorrow. I’m upgrading from a 27 inch mini led hopefully I’m blown away
@@springsteen-games5134 did you blown away? :3
Eeeeugh.... absolute state on that box. Also, this monitor is only better in two regards: native Dolby Vision + Curved panel. The Gigabyte Aorus has native DisplayPort 2.1.
Awesome video!
Thanks for the video
Glad you enjoyed 🤘🏾
This makes me wanna upgrade!
Do it 😈
Saw cat, stayed for the good review 🫡👍
Lmao thank you and thank you for your honesty. Good Fortune appreciates it, too!
Nice video I'm really liking this monitor just waiting to see if Samsung or one of the other one will be better than this one. Should I wait or just get this one because I'm on playing on PS5?
Honestly, this monitor might be a little overkill for a PS5 (or XSX). Both PS5 and XSX can do a maximum output of 120fps, so you won't get the full experience of this monitor from console gaming in general.
However, if you think you will be upgrading to a PC set-up that will allow your games to run at 240fps, then this will future-proof you when that upgrade happens.
If you wanted to try something more cost efficient for console gaming, i would recommend a 120hz 4K OLED or something like that. I haven't checked pricing on things like that, so if it's close in price to this monitor (i would say within $300-$400) i would maybe just bite the bullet and buy Alienware model shown in the video instead. But as i said in my video, most PS5 blockbusters are aiming at 60fps in the PERFORMANCE setting.
So yea, you can wait for other trusted competitors to undercut this monitors price.
tl;dr you can probably just wait depending on the monitor you're currently using.
Great video!
Thank you! Very much appreciated 🤘🏽
Great video! also what settings do you use on the monitor?
Thank you! Honestly, right now I didn't change too much from the stock. I'm not using any of the 'Game settings' (features like showing current FPS, or that gamer vision thing i showed like 3/4s through the video). The only thing i really changed was my brightness, which i generally play with mid to low brightness.
And i haven't really gone into the settings because i *think* if you go into HDR mode, it limits to some extent the customization of brightness/contrast and the dark stabilizer.
Oh yeah and im actually holding off on finishing a few games until i get mine lol. Mainly Persona 5 Royal and wint touch Persona 3 until i have this.
Do you have the Spiderman games on PC? Im patiently awaiting 2 on PC & hoping the 50series drops before Spidey 2 does.
I'll just reply to this comment instead of having 2 different things going on lol.
Oh yea, for sure the upgrades are definitely noticeable between the 30s and 40s, i was more saying that if you're going for the more cinematic, high quality experience, that's still going to be reaching 90fps-110fps, so there's still a lot of room to grow. Now, i will say with advancements in upping frames is getting better every day, but we'll see!
And DEFINITELY hold off on playing the Persona games until you get the monitor! I'm so sad i played the single player games before this monitor, lol. Man, I'm jealous. Those colors in Persona are going to POP!
I only have Spider-Man 1 on PC, not miles morales, but i haven't done much in it and there are too many games coming up to clear the backlog. Definitely hoping the 50 series comes out before spider-man 2 gets ported so you can enjoy spider-man 2 the best way you can!
I am not sure if i should buy this one or the 27 inch model. I have a good pc with a 4080. But not sure i can reach high fps in fps games lile the finals.
Any advice?
Good question! I would say it depends on your gaming habits are. If you primarily play FPS, then go for the 27" 360hz.
Unfortunately, the Finals isn't the most optimized game (still pretty good though), so even on low settings and 1440p on a 4080, you're still looking at 160-300 fps. So 240hz on the monitor i bought should be plenty. You could potentially drop the resolution and get more fps that way though!
If you want to really get good and grind ranked in any shooter, then the 27" 360hz would be optimal. If you want to do a little bit of everything, like play bigger blockbuster games, but still have s high refresh rate when playing an fps, then i would say maybe the 32" is the better choice.
Where did you get that vesa adapter? I have this monitor coming in Tuesday and want to use a desk mount.
It actually came with my mount from the company "Mount-It!" I bought online at Best Buy, I believe, a few years back. It was actually cheaper at BB as opposed to buying it direct from the manufacturer.
I appreciate the reply. It's definitely helped me out.
I got the 27" coming in tomorrow. With the constant reddit posts i see. did you also received a scratched up unit? either on screen or bezels
That's exciting! Fortunately, mine did not come scratched. I would be pretty pissed if that happened. I guess good luck on the roll, i had no idea that was a thing 🫣
Should you wait for dp 2.1? Is that even a thing?
Good question and I'm not super well versed in connections like that, but from what i recall, the 30 and 40 series cards only have dp 1.4. I would assume the 50 series would have dp 2.1, but idk. My 3080 is able to do 4k 240hz though, so i don't see a reason to wait.
Which GPU do you have? Dont you think 32" is too big for competitive games?
I have a stock 3080. I think if you primarily play competitive shooters, then this is not the monitor for you and you should go for their 360hz that was released alongside this model, the AW2725DF.
You don't get 4K, but you still get QHD and a refresh rate that only a beefy gpu can make use of.
That being said, if you play a variety of games and you want something to do it all, then this model (or a similar spec'd model from another manufacturer) is the best bet.
Sweet video! I can't afford that lol
Lmao we'll see if i even can after this 18 month financing period 💳
comming from 1080p 27"
has to be too overwelming
It was definitely a lot, but my gaming habits also changed. The OLED is the biggest difference for me though.
Plan on getting a 4080 super if they get scalped by bots just gonna buy this instead
This is one hell of a Plan B, haha...good luck on the 4080 Super hunt!
what pc gpu are you using bro?
Currently using a stock 3080 👍🏽
yes i am currently using SS odyssey g7 qhd 240hz 32inch i am waiting for the this monitor until release in new zealand !!@@leodonuts
