Wish I could say I had experience with this on our bike. But when I got my chain and sprockets I also happened to need tires replaced as well so I just took it too shop and had them do it all
It's something that is almost worth paying for.. almost. It's fun to do and learn but god damn is it more work then I expected.. well at least for the first go around haha the first time takes 5 hours while the 2nd time takes 5 minutes..
You are welcome! I hope they help! The living room is warmer than the garage.. Well I want to keep my car in the single car garage over the winter to protect from snow and rain and well a motorcycle in 72 degree year round temps is pretty nice hahah
I was at 5,600 miles when I swapped, I don't think it was necessary to make the change, I was looking for something lighter and well.. gold.. I think the factory one (depending on use and maintenance) could last a lot longer
You are correct, cleaning a new chain gets ride of a lot of grease that is not necessarily chain lube, not to mention I trust and use Motul products for any fluid on this bike, you don't have to but its worth it! Not to mention the fresh chain grease gets EVERYWHERE..
Brake clean in the crib is crazy!!!
Not the best decision.. had the windows open in 30 degree weather hahah

How many miles did you get on the original?

80nm is crazy for a front sprocket, my 450 is only 31 🤣
Haha!! That is such a difference.. it scared me too.. like dang thats almost the rear wheel nut!
@LifeWellRidden you torqued it but did you make sure to fold over the crush washer 👀
@@falloutnerd216 hahah I literally noticed while editing and went back and folded it.. 🤣
So isnt that why we have LUBE?

@@LifeWellRidden it's just that I would take the sprocket with no rubber and just be sure to lube it.
