I've been pretty disappointed with the film adaptations of Lovecraft stories on TH-cam. Oddly, the ones I have enjoyed most are animated. Probably because they don't suffer the 'low budget syndrome' of the live action films. I won't comment on the style because you've obviously done the best you can with the resources you have, but I think you did a fantastic job with the atmosphere you created. It's strange and eerie and true to the story. Really nice job.
Was not convinced that any visual depiction of a Lovecraft tale could be legit until now. Nice work! Hope you are still creating!
The Game, Call of Cthulhu: Dark corners of Earth depicts it pretty well in my opinion. An older game, but pulls you in and still feels pretty nice to play.
I absolutely loved this. A very good short adaption of one of lovecrafts longer stories.
I have a very hard time reading. I can never stay focused and drift off in thought very easily without even realizing it. So I truly appreciate all the work that was put into this 3 part mini series. It was absolutely amazing. Thank you.
Back when you still had to post long videos in multiple parts. A great era.
Incredible job, Mr. Kwong and crew, for evoking the eerie, insular and claustrophobic feel of HPL's tale, my all-time fave of his!
Wow, those clouds were quite far away... they were behind the moon! 😯
Hi it's Sunday Dec 18th 2022 This is a Fantastic Piece of Work "The Shadow over Innsmouth" I like the Animated Characters Thank You Very Much, I Appreciated this Because I reminded Me of When I use to listen to those CBS Radio Shows more that 40 Years Ago And Hope that You have a Good Holiday Season 🎄 ⛄ and Good New Year 2023 to Come Dave in a town like Innsmouth in Minnesota
This was brilliant, you should definatly do more like these :)
Weird how it feels like one of my dreams
This is so great. I've read Shadow over Innsmouth long ago. Never thought there's an animated video of it. I hope you still making animated H.P. Lovecrafts stories. I love classics l. ❤
Great job with this film. It really gives me a picture of the story, which I so often have trouble with in Lovecraft. Thanks for the upload.
I really enjoyed it.
Congratulations.
Great adaption.
marvelous! Great adaptation! You put a lot of effort in bringing the story to life and it shows!
1:09 Comrade Stalin thinks about how to make these fishmen work in his tank industry
@GodMaker925 I'm glad you stuck around after the credits to catch that. The third part was a bit short, so I decided to stick in this bonus material for the fun of it.
Excellent..!
Good adaptation, and thanks for doing it. You've come up with a great visual for Innsmouth Town. Still, I don't think anything can beat reading the story. It's one of my all-time favorites.
That was really cool I enjoyed it.
Very well done!
Nice. Especially Grandma. I always wonder why there are so few good Lovecraft movies out there.
Wow! Just wow!
Excellent, thanks so much for making this
I laughed alot at the little Easter Egg at the end!
Great! I enjoyed this
great job ! loved it
that was awesome!!
Good stuff! Thank you!
I read the book recently and I love it! You did fantastic work :)
This is really great
@juliusyeung0330 The author, H. P. Lovecraft, wrote many short stories with a recurring theme of ancient gods--referred to as the Cthulhu Mythos. Cthulhu is one of those old gods. Many tales take place around the city of Arkham, Massachusetts, and the Miskatonic University is visited by many of Lovecraft's characters for arcane research and such.
Lovecraft's works are posted online and at libraries. A good silent film, "the Call of Cthulhu" is available on DVD. Rent it (or buy it--I did).
Good video!
wow. soooo great. HP Lovecraft for the EPIC win!
Really funny the shadow over grandma story...
But im not sure, doi in the novel Zadoc Allen get killed?
heucl meucl-heucl Yes. It's not explicitly stated but it's implied
I enjoyed watching this very much and have to say that the atmosphere is in the very right place, the Innsmouth people look awesome. However I also have constructive criticisms to make. The ESSENTIAL scene with the thousands of deep ones passing the road near him is not there! The buildings aren't as decrepit and abandoned as they should have been, there was very little narrative (I think is an important part of doing lovecraft stories justice), and the deep ones were too slow and zombie like.
I was eating Sushi while i was watching this...... Oh the irony....
OK, I don't know if I want to know anymore about Lovecraft's works!
so how is arkham also related to Cthulhu?
Miskotonic University?
Where can i read all the stories? or watch them?
I may never eat Sushi again
Really good! But what does he say at the end? "ask for their forgiveness and hope...."?
Varg Strande "What have I done? What can I do...except ask for their forgiveness and hope..."
Varg Strande "What have I done? What can I do...except ask for their forgiveness and hope..."
His grandma used to be a priestess of Dagon
@blizniack As long as it's the FISH tank industry, they're okay with it.
American army burning Vizima xD
Vizima lol!
u missed the procession of deep ones.
still, ur fishmans are much more interesting than the game ones
Great job!
