- My vision of this classic tale. This film was screened at the Atopic Film Festival in Paris, France, 2009, the 2009 Machinima Expo, and the 2010 Cinéma Tous Ecrans at Geneva, Switzerland. Awarded "Best Horror", "Best Special Effects", and "Best the Movie Film" at the 2009 TMU Ollies Awards.

To me, it gives more Silent Hill vibes.

I played a game Call of Cthulhu Dark Corners of the Earth. Then I found out that game is based on books. Then I was exploring on internet about the book. After visiting TH-cam I found this. This is great and I watched some other videos of yours. This changed my life. I started reading Lovecraft's books and I am now a FANATIC of Cthulhu Mythos.
Great game, and I thought they did an outstanding job portraying Shadow Over Innsmouth. If you haven't already, you should also read Shadow Out of Time since Jack's whole sidestory of the Boston cult & amnesia were derived from that. No doubt that the creator(s) of Dark Corners are/were huge Lovecraft fans and the game did his work justice.

No, this story does not take place in Spain, but in the U.S.A.. Lovecraft's original story itself depicts the bus route going from Newport to Innsmouth, and then to Arkham.
There have been film adaptations and various other forms but I still feel that this adaption is the most true to the source material, whilst at the same time being thoroughly entertaining. I would love to see a "behind the scenes" that explains how this was all put together.
It's very very good! The voices of Innsmouth people, the town, are so darkly expressive, so full of the spirit of HPL's tale! Wonderful film!!!

Cool film. I watched 'Dagon' years ago, and just last year read 'shadow over Innsmouth', and remembered the hotel scene.

Coming as I do from Merseyside, what I'm looking for in Innsmouth is DAGON'S FISH 'N' CHIP SHOP. I've heard it's the best on the planet. Beats anything we can offer in the UK's NorthWest. Can one of you fine fishy folk gimme directions?

That google tanscribe subtitles says some weird things, when the bus driver is talking it says "his bus drives all canadian troops" and it called the gilman house "the gilman ass"

@MrRandymaniac My pleasure! It's one of mine as well, and since I don't know if a film will ever be made from this story, I decided to make it myself. I'm glad you enjoyed it--that makes my effort worth it.
Check out "Dagon" it's a decent representation of the story. This is good as well, direct from book to screen.
@lunasky2 As far as I know, this story was not directly adapted as a movie by anyone yet, but this theme has been used numerous times in other works (such as the movie "Dagon", and even "Dr. Who" episodes). Rumor has it that Nicolas Cage was involved with a Hollywood production of this film, but that was a decade ago, so it probably isn't going to happen any time soon.
If someone was make a another town like this but about reptiles and the order of zmey (slavic dragon)...

Is the Arkham in Lovecraft books the same as the one in Batman.
Arkham Asylum got its name from the city of Arkham in the Cthulhu Mythos.
The game is The Movies by Lionhead Studio's.
