Tim just showing off that 5 octave range for ya. Yeah 3 different countries too…US, Czech Republic and Egypt and 3 different places in the US too. Pretty good stuff. It’s a great song and they can go sooooo low. Goodness!😍
Great reaction. The members of the Bass Gang live in different countries and tape their individual parts on green screen which is then edited together. The members of the Bass Gang are; Bobby Bass from Connecticut, Tomi P from the Czech Republic, Marwan Ayman from Egypt, and Peter Barber from Virginia. They were very excited to get Tim Faust to work with them on this project. Peter Barber, one of the Bass Gang, also does reactions and did one for this song. It is great too. He had not seen the finished video, knowing only his part.
You’re right, these guys are young. The youngest (juice box) was still in his teens when they did this, the others are early/mid 20’s and the oldest (clean cut guy) is just 30. He said in an interview that bass singers’ voices don’t fully mature until they’re into their 30’s. Anyway, Tim Foust has showed up a time or two now in TBG videos and other videos individual members are involved in. I love that he takes an interest in singers like this. And I also love being able to watch these singers and this group grow from video to video-they really are very gifted and as they get more resources their work just keeps improving. Check out their latest, “If I Had a Heart”. Keep watching! Great reaction!!
How great was that! Love having Tim sing with the Bass Gang. He is like a mentor to a younger generation of bass singers. Tim is the growl master but he can also sing high. I have always liked this song done first by the late B.J. Thomas in 1968. It was later done by Jonathan King in 1971 & Blue Swede in 1974 who both added the "ooga chaka" part. None of these guys were physically together which makes this even more impressive.
Before The Bass Gang released this they had a few reactors who react to both The Bass Gang and Home Free and who they are friends with react to it without them knowing anything like what the song they were reacting to was to and who the guest singer was and the reactions were hilarious when they saw it was Tim 😂 Peter Barber ( grey sweater) is a reactor also and he did a fist time viewing of completed video reaction and explained the process of how they did this and he was so excited when he was talking about getting Tim in this video.
Yes, they are younger, with Marwan being only 19 for this performance. In my opinion, The Bass Gang is on the way to making the top three vocal groups into the new top four! They finally got together, except for Marwan, and did 4 numbers, weaving some Disney classics together into one loosely structured story. The first one is Marwan's, "Arabian Knights" -- go for it! You'll be amazed. Then "Be Prepared", "Gaston", and finally "Friend Like Me".
This is so much fun. The Bass Gang guys were so excited to be working "with" Tim, even though all the guys filmed in their own homes. Lots of other good stuff from them out there. Their latest one is Jolly Sailor Bold - the creepiest sea shanty video ever. Fabulous.
Marwan, the youngest, did some of the video editing if I recall correctly. He also did the beatboxing for the song. I thought it was hilarious when he is drinking juice box while the others are drinking wine! LOL All in all, the Bass Gang members are talented guys and together they seem to be pushing each other to do more and see what they can do. Sort of like a challenge amongst friends. And each thing they do is a little better than the last one. They are certainly a group to watch.
If you watch Peter Barber's video, he tells you that Tim does most of the base, but these guys are just phenomenal. Anyhow. Glad you enjoyed this one brother
I adore the bass gang, all of their members have some great other projects/side stuff out there as well! I just love all the silly antics the boys got into in the latter section of the video (the juice box and the rose from Marwan XD)
If you like editing, you're going to love these guys! Most of their content is filmed on green screen, like you said, and as others have pointed out they live pretty far away from each other, so they film on their own and the editing they have to do is insane!
The sixth person (who pretended to propose to Tomy P) is Casper Fox, The Bass Gang's manager and another great singer. It always surprises me how good they sound considering that (in this video) it was recorded in five different places over three continents. Suggest The Bass Gang feat Lauren Paley: Hide And Seek (Halloween-ish) and The Bass Gang: Arabian Nights (film Aladdin) and Gaston (film Beauty And The Beast). Peter Barber is a bass opera singer, has a 6-octave range, and is the oldest at 30. Marwan layers in the beatboxing and is the youngest at about 19.
The Bass Gang joined the current sea shanty craze with Jolly Sailor Bold. Another amazing treasure. My joke to that video is "guess which one is the professional opera singer." I also want to add to the recommendations for Arabian Nights and Gaston. They found unique ways to include Marwan in. (He's my 2nd favorite.)
Love these guys together! All of them are wonderful singers, together as a group and as individuals. Personally, I'm partial to Tim and my Home Free. Now, I've got a group of the Bassiest-bass that will explode your headphones! You have to check out the Bass Singers of Tik Tok singing Hoist the Colors. Oh. My. Goodness! It's enough to give you nightmares!! Bobby Bass (the curly haired gentleman in this video) sings with the group. I look forward to your reaction. I've subbed you to see how well you can handle THAT amount of bass!
Wasn't' this a treat ! I understand Marwan ( black and white shirt ) did the editing of the 5 videos. Peter Barber ( Bass Gang member and a TH-cam reactor ) did a reaction you would enjoy. He was positively giddy at being able to work with Tim.
Oh their version of "Gaston" from Beauty & the Beast is a total amazing experience...also awesome is their verion of Arabian Knights. Don't forget about Home Free, I'll ask again for you to react to "I can't outrun you".
The Bass Gang is based in several different countries. Almost everything they've done, until recently, was remote. Their patreon recently funded them the opportunity to travel to meet in person for recording
Home Free also has collaborations with Alabama, the Oak Ridge Boys, Charlie Daniels, Don McLean, Peter Hollens, Kenny Rogers & Lee Greenwood. They've also sung with Texas Hill ("Dreamer", "Go Tell It on the Mountain" and "Giving up on You"). Tim & Austin have duets of "My Maria", "What's it to You" and "Hers Ain't Mine" (on Austin's channel). AND Tim has songs with Peter Hollens & Chris Rupp as well. whew!
PS - Peter Barber (grey sweater) is a y/t reactor and talked about the making of the video in his review of it - he hadn't seen the completed video & his excitement is sooo cute!

Great info😊
Tim Foust
Especially as, at that point, the bass gang had never met each other in person.
Thank You for the kind words and the info!

I am so glad you made note of the editing, not many do😊
Bass Gang is a talented group, thank you❤

Thank you! I appreciate it!
What is crazy is Tim is doing most of the bass.
