Peter Barber, a member of the Bass Gang and a reactor, reviews this song and talks at length about how extraordinary Tim is, both as an artist and as a person. You would enjoy watching it. 😃
It’s cute how excited Peter was because they got Tim so sing this with them. This was done near the end of Lockdown so I’m sure Tim recorded at home and sent them his parts of the song.
The bass gang was thrilled to death that Tim said yes when they asked him if he would join them on this. He is a hero to them and someone they aspire to be like. Tim is a humble guy who was happy to help give these guys a boost early in their careers.
Peter Barber did a nearly 2 hour interview with Tim Foust on Peter's YT channel. The A cappella world is not that large and if you then limit it to true bassists.... it gets even smaller.
Opera singer Elizabeth Zharoff, aka, The Charismatic Voice, recently attended an opera starring the Bass Gang's very own Peter Barber. Yes, he's a trained opera singer!
Peter Barber (in the grey sweater) is also a reactor on y/t. When he played this video he said he'd never seen the finished product and in fact, hadn't met all the members of the Bass Gang (some of them live abroad). He was thrilled with the way it turned out & that Tim was in it. You'll be surprised! Thanks for playing this & your comments. #TimFoust
Voiceplay and the Bass Gang each did a Halloween video with The Stairwell Siren "Hide and Seek (Ding Dong)". Same song, same main singer, couldn't have been more different. Both absolutely mesmerizing.
So good and so much fun. What range Tim has. The boys have a green screen as they aren’t even in the same country. Two in the US, one in Egypt and one in Czech Republic. Amazing. They’re so good. Good reaction boys! 😍😄
At the time of this video, none of the four (& Tim) had ever met in person. Last August, three of them (minus Marwan; couldn't get the required visa) met up in the Czech Republic to do videos. The guy "proposing" to Tomi P is their manager, Casper Fox, an accomplished singer in his own right. Yes, Peter Barber's reaction to his own video is really interesting. He was fan-girling over Tim. (And Peter is a bass opera singer with a 6-octave range!) #BassGang #TimFoust #HighlyReActive
Peter said Tim #timfoust as doing the bass line for most of the song along with singing the lead! Like Luna stated below you should check out Peter's reaction. He had never seen the whole video before he did his reaction. He also said Marwan did the beatboxing and the editing of the video!
I loved the fact that when they had the others all drinking wine, Marwan was drinking from a juice box because he was only, I believe, 17 at the time of this recording, but too young to drink. It was a fun way to play on his age. The goofiness behind Tim at the end of the video was hilarious. I would love to see you react to a newer one of theirs. "Jolly Sailor Bold"
It is so much fun. When I saw one of their members, Peter, react to this video I'm sure i saw stars in his eyes whenever Tim's parts of the song came on. Thanks for the reaction.
How great was that! Love having Tim sing with the Bass Gang. It must have been a big honor for them. Tim is the growl master but he can also sing high. I have always liked this song done first by the late B.J. Thomas in 1968. It was later done by Jonathan King in 1971 & Blue Swede in 1974 who both added the "ooga chaka" part. What makes this even more impressive is that none of the guys were even together. Great editing!
What is crazy about this song is that Tim is doing most of the bass. I have seen Peter barbers video. And he says that Tim did most of the space. It is just layered but the base gang is just awesome.
I loved this version of this song. Did you notice that the shot of them drinking wine, the youngster of the group had a juice box? You should check out their version of Gaston. You should also check out Tim's recent release Why do fools fall in love
Somebody mentioned it that peter barber the gentleman in the gray sweater has a reaction channel where he dives in and gives a very thorough analysis. He is a bass opera singer. He has interviewed Geoff Castellucci, Tim Foust, Matt Sallee Among many others. The Bass Gang All film their spots from wherever they live and then send it to the member that is doing the arrangement. So basically they do everything themself.
Loving the Bass Gang! It was a treat seeing Tim singing with them in this one! It seems they’ve similar to Home Free and Voice Play with their sense of humor (which makes them more enjoyable and endearing).
Before this video was released to public they gave a few reactors who react to them and Home Free a chance to react to their new video with out the reactor knowing anything like what the song was or who they collaborated with oh the reactions were hilarious as soon as they seen Tim😂 The Bass Gang members live all around the world Peter Barber lives in Virginia ( is also a TH-cam reactor) Bobby Bass from Connecticut, Tomi P from the Czech Republic, Marwan Avman from Egypt. Peter did a reaction to this video he never seen the finished video and was so excited they got to collaborate with Tim.
I’m so glad you reacted to this, thanks guys!! Check out We Don’t Talk About Bruno by them, you may enjoy that also😊. #Tim Foust, #Bass Gang, #Highly Reactive
Wasn’t this fun? Tim is so good and it looks like everyone enjoyed themselves! Agree with the other comments that Peter’s review of this is awesome, he gives a different perspective because he was part of it! Thank you for doing this one, I really enjoy you two! #TimFoust #BassGang
considering they are all based in different places . 2 are in the U.S. ,1 is in Egypt and the other is in Czechia ! Their ages are from 17 to 30 , I believe , not counting Tim . In the video you will see them drinking alcohol . All but 1 who has a juice box ! They record their parts , the singing and their movements , send it to the person in charge of putting the video together and this is what we get .
#Tim Foust. #Bass Gang Tim is extremely talented and Bass Gang are headed there also. They are so much fun to watch. Go check out Peter Barbers reaction channel. He can help you out on what happened for this video. Thank you for reacting. 🎼🎵🔥🎶🦋
Check out Peter Barber’s own channel for an analysis of this song and how it was made. He is the guy in the beige seater. Also until you have seen them do the Disney songs Friend Like Me from Aladdin and Gaston from Beauty and the Beast, you ain’t seen nothing yet. Pure theater and wacky humor.
I know everyone loves bass, but for me, this was too much bass. It was OK when Tim started singing a little higher, but, otherwise, I didn't enjoy it. Sorry guys!

In one of his Vocal Arts videos, Peter has done an extended interview with Tim.
Thats amazing Luna 😊
I always find it funny that they practically gave Tim the tenor lead for this.
The bass gang was thrilled to death that Tim said yes when they asked him if he would join them on this. He is a hero to them and someone they aspire to be like. Tim is a humble guy who was happy to help give these guys a boost early in their careers.

Tim was invited to sing with them. They adore Tim.

This is so much fun. Definitely go watch Peter Barber's review. Lots of behind the scenes info.

Bass Gang and Tim did a great job on this song. They are funny and I liked it. Yes Tim is a great guy. 😊❤❤❤❤❤❤
Tim has a 5-octave range. He is just incredible! Love the Bass Gang as well. Love your reaction!

It's always fun to watch Peter Barber's reactions to the Bass Gang's videos, seeing himself and his mates for the first time.
Even aside from them all sounding amazing I love the antics the boys are up to in the background.

Marwan from TBG is only 17! Hence the juicebox lol

I love they found a very artistic way to include Marwan in the video for Gaston since he couldn't be with them.

You must react to Arabian nights with Bass Gang. The youngest member Marwan really shines in that video.
Gotta love this upbeat song! Thanks for sharing!
This one always makes me so happy!
