Guessing it might be Ghost, with Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze in the movie. John Pinto, Jr also has done It Ain't Me with VoicePlay. Geoff just dropped a new song, Don't Mess Around With Jim (Jim Croce folksinger from the early 70s).
Hi new subscriber in the house!,Thanks for your Great reaction, Happy New Year 2024!!!❤ This is a nerve-racking video try to watch and react to 4TH IMPACT competed on X Factor UK sings "Bang bang (Jessie J.)" and their audition video is the most watched X Factor video ever on You Tube.
I enjoyed your reaction and that you brought a friend. I'm subscribed - if you keep doing VoicePlay, I will be here as will a lot of the VoicePlay fans.
For more from VoicePlay, I recommend songs like 'Valhalla Calling' and 'Seven Nation Army'. And if you get into Geoff's solo work, 'Far Over The Misty Mountains Cold' (from The Hobbit), and 'Sixteen Tons'.
That one makes me start crying from the first note every time, thinking about my girlfriend. Voice Play can't seem to do one bad. They are terrific. Thanks for you reaction video.
VoicePlay is always appropriate to the song - which means, not always "costumes." (Although they ARE planned out costumes, even if they ordered from J Crew, which they once did.) Tennessee Whiskey is another GORGEOUS song that they do "appropriately" - in a bar, in street clothes. Almost always, the featured singer is in the middle, as John Pinto was here.
I love VoicePlay and have always loved this song. Home Free also did this song. If this is her favorite song you should also let her hear their arrangement of it. Anyway, keep it up. I've subscribed to hear more accapela reactions. And I love seeing people discover new groups and genres that they wouldn't have even thought to listen to if it weren't for these reaction channels. Happy New Year!
I really enjoy your reactions. Thanks! The two of you should check out Valhalla Calling or Hoist the Colours. I promise you will be amazed... And Geoff really shows his bass in those two. 😁
If your bestie Des is a gamer she should see them singing Skyrim - The Dragon born comes, Geoff figures a lot more in it with some wicked low notes! You pair together are so fun! More please 🌹🌹 Edit: I hadn’t heard this before, it’s amazing, but I do prefer the more theatrical side of them!
@@justitia257 Happy 2024 🎉🥳 I don’t know why that is, but I have cut right down on social media this year so it is possible that some of my settings are different.
Quick FYI, their featured artists are always listed in the title of the video as well as the video description. They put all their credits in the video description, so if you ever have a question about who did what (arrangement, production, members, etc), you can quickly check there. 😊
You'll have to listen to several of Geoff's solo songs; especially if you like his low bass notes. FYI: He's the bass singer from Voice Play. Sixteen tons would be a good one to start with. So, you can hear his 4-5 octave range. It'll take off from there.
They had recorded this on location, but had camera problems. They thought it would be OK, but ended up having to go back another day and completely reshoot the video.
I like you two together, brings out different flavors to a song. Home Free also did this song and because of the story of the writer being in jail, that’s the direction they went with the video! The soloist was the guest in the description. Maybe you guys can do this more from your own locations. Low bass Kenneth
I feel like the extent to which you can change the message of a song (without changing the lyrics), depends on the lyrics, and specifically on how clear they are. A song like The Sound of Silence, which has lyrics that don't really objectively mean anything, can have a completely different message depending on how you sing it: it can be very upbeat (Pentatonix), or it can be angry and judgmental (Disturbed), or somber and sympathetic (Geoff Castellucci). Whereas, if you wanted to try that kind of re-interpretation with e.g. one of Stuart Townend's songs, you'd have to fight the lucidity of the lyrics. You could do a certain amount with implying different feelings about what's being said, but that only goes so far if the lyrics have a detailed objective meaning. And yeah, this song has probably been used in a lot of movies, but as soon as you said you felt like you remembered it from a movie, I instantly knew that you were thinking of Ghost, because that's the one where the song is very much in the foreground, during multiple critically important scenes. It's probably the _most_ memorable thing about that movie.
You really need to go watch "The Righteous Brothers" which was a super hit in 1965. It was the main song in the movie "Ghost" starring Demi Moore, Patrick Swazey, and Whoopi Goldberg. Go listen to the original sung by Bobby Hatfield and pl ay that one for your fans. 🤩🤩
Great reaction. Now do Hoist the Colours from Pirates of the Caribbean 3. Then, same featured artist, Drunken Sailor. Also, Geoff Castellucci, the bass, did a solo version of Man of Constant Sorrow. Just sayin'.
I can't help but hear Home Free's version when I hear this song. Ironically, it's more 'theatrical' than Voice Play. I believe it's actually more 'true' to the origin of the song too. And musically it is beautifully different. Hope you have a chance to react to it.
I love Voiceplay but this is one cant touch the Righteous Brothers but is a very cool rendition. You should check out the version of Ain't no sunshine by Geoff or atleast have Des watch it so she can see his full range! Happy New Year!
Great react as usual, please react to this Iron maiden song, it is like a Mozart heavy metal opera!!!!! you indeed will be amazed and surprised.. guarantee!! The song was composed entirely on a piano, Bruce [vocals] wrote every single note in it, like Beethoven with his ear to the piano, concocting this masterpiece. The lyrics are about the ill-fated British airship, R101, which was the world's largest flying craft when it was built. It crashed in France on its maiden overseas voyage on October 5, 1930, killing 48 of the 54 passengers on board. Bruce thinks it might work with a one-off performance, possibly counting with orchestra backing, along with actors and footage on screens "so you could actually really get the full sense of the tragedy and the drama that was going on behind the scenes". th-cam.com/video/RsM6wpIA3Sc/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=ScirylLyrics

John Pinto jr has a gorgeous high tenor. They also did "it aint me" with him as well
This is by far my favorite cover of this classic. John's voice is perfection. Their cover (with John also) of "It Ain't Me" is fabulous.

The main singer is John Pinto Jr - a featured artist (not a regular group member).

This was written by Alex Norland and first appeared in the 1955 prison themed movie "Unchained"....also was in "Ghosts".
That one makes me start crying from the first note every time, thinking about my girlfriend. Voice Play can't seem to do one bad. They are terrific. Thanks for you reaction video.

She’s not a gamer at all! And we don’t live in the same city so these are probably the only cameos from her for a while. 🤍
@@KoalityReactions you'll have to do them via zoom or something.

this was a hit during Vietnam sad sad sad

John Pinto Jr. has been part of the cast of Book of Mormon for a good bit.
Great reaction from BOTH of you!!!
For a real tear jerker, try VPs "I can't make you love me"...o. m. g!!
Cant help it love these guys do geoff castelluchi deep bass cover of man of constant sorrow, and hold on lol
I just found your channel and I'm loving your reactions. If I might suggest, you'd really like Vocatve.

Starting 2024 right with VoicePlay.
Very nice

The movie you are thinking of is Ghost
New sub 👍
Good job, guys! Not really my favorite Voiceplay performance, but I'm glad you liked it.
Reaction suggestion. Rammstein. Their songs Du Hast and “Ich tu dir weh”. Both the live versions in either Paris or Madison square garden.
Welcome to the rabbit hole that is voiceplay.
If you like something different try Dan Vasc.🤔😉😎
If you love low voices, try Geoff Castellucci doing the Beatles' "Blackbird". I swear this guy can sing at 15 Hz.
React Pantera "Cemetery Gates"
Think the movie you might be linking this to is Ghost (Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore & Whoopie Goldberg)
Please react to Shaman - Fairytale, the singer is Andre Matos, I know you will enjoy this song 👍🏻
Ya know ya need to do Wicked or Phantom with her now.
Ok. So I know you are doing Home Free also. You've got to listen to their version.! It's my favorite version right now. Just Mo.
I think you should listen to VoicePlay's Nothin Else Matters but not yet.I don't think you are ready for that one.
Vocal percussion

I have heard that version!! Gorgeous.
Ghost with Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore
Yes!! I wrote it in the video after I figured it out. 😂
Can you react to the music video creeping in my soul by cryoshell?

Listen to Angelina Jordan singing Unchained Melody at the Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony
Good surprise coming for you tomorrow morning!
Show her voice play cover Valhalla calling full dress up
I’ve never seen that one either, so I’ve gotta show myself first! lol
Shame on you. You obviously didn’t warn your best friend about Geoff’s low voice. But that was a great reaction.
More nf!!!
