Great reaction. This came out 6 or 7 months ago in time for spring and summer - they even played it live together (8 times so far) at festivals in Japan, Germany and Spain.
This is a fun song ... no surprises as Electric Callboy are good fun and BABYMETAL love to enjoy themselves and to put a smile on everybody's face.
The collaboration was actually BABYMETAL's idea - they were wanting to make a song that would be pure fun, one that people could dance along with like Electric Callboy's 'We Got The Moves' but they felt something was missing.
They decided to ask EC if they would like to be involved so they went to see EC playing in Boston (they were both there at the same time last year) and met up backstage with them before the show.
'RATATATA' was the result.🤘🦊
It is very much in the Electric Callboy style, but it really was a 50-50 collaboration.
I don't see any BABYMETAL on your channel, which and how many of their songs do you already know, have you seen any of their live performances?
An early song and performance - Ijime, Dame, Zettai (call it IDZ it means Bullying, No More, For Ever) live at Sonisphere 2014 in the UK.
A recent song and performance - Monochrome live at PIA Arena 2023.
🪩 ❤❤ 🦊 🔌
BABYMETAL and Electric Callboy fit together like precision engineered LEGOs.
Such a great combination.
Especially with Nico from Electric Callboy's high range, Su's soprano, and the growls from Momometal, the newest BABYMETAL member.
The BABYMETAL members refer to this as Momoko "showing her fangs". : )
I love how every time I watch reactors do this video as soon as the girls make there first appearance they get a big smile on their face, that's the affect of Babymetal.
I’ve noticed the same reactions whenever the girls first appear
@@lancegrabner8966I notice it as soon as Kevin’s harsh vocals start
Good one, thanks!
This is a 50/50 collaboration and yeah, it's 100% fun. Not to mention it's madness live. 😁
That was Momometal (BABYMETAL's newest member) growling the second "Are you ready!?" and later the "Everybody!".
🤘🦊
EC is a famous German band, BM is a Japanese metal dance unit, no K-pop elements at all.
Nice! This song is a banger all around. Especially when I saw it live last week! Too bad EC wasn't there, but still.
Hope you do more Babymetal reactions! 🤘🦊
This is such a fun track! it was the first that I had heard either of these groups, and I just love how well they go together.
This is EPIC!!! It's the only word that describes this collab.
True Story.
My fave comment I've seen about this video "Watching Nico and Kevin dancing with Babymetal is like watching two Dads dance with their daughters in a tiktok video😂😂😂"
Subscribed. Awesome collaboration and performance. Love Su's shot in the famous John Travolta’s 'Saturday Night Fever' pose, so cool. Great reaction. 🦊 🖖❤

Yes a 50/50 Collab that proved thst even for Stars like them everything depends on the work. It took a bit longer than expected and suddenly they got the Signal we might have something. But they started the work without anything. The Song was not yet ready, they gad no budget no script and Babymetal was simply informed, you fly to Germany. So there was no Diskussion Electric Callboy started to film.
Then Babymetal arrived and since Ellectric Callboy improvised this was the advise for Babymetal. On the 3rd day they finally finished the Song. They added the "Love Scene for Nico, Su and the Giant Disco Ball" and Kevins Wires.
It ess obvious that both Babds knew they had something.
So apparently this guy has NOT heard much EC. Cuz that IS there MO to go zero to a million instantly. Practically EVERY Time!!!
Exactly- his comments were very confusing because he said in the intro that he’d reacted to EC before. Weird 🤷♀️
@@LiveAlcheme Well, there are a couple songs of EC in the last year that didn't go nuts within first moments, so he may have seen one of those. But most people have ALL seen Hypa, Hypa; we Got the Moves; and Pump It -- which are the 3 classics that define EC for doing just what he said was Babymetal's MO, which it really isn't Babymetal's style at all. They are metal with cutesy, catchy vocals(lol. to piss of their base. haha)
i really like the way kevin turns around at the end. its so cool.
Have you seen "We got the Moves" by Electric Callboy? No?? it´s a Banger you have to see it...
There are few songs that a re so unapologetically fun, especially in Metal. Everybody just smiles all through it.
I've definitely seen Babymetal fans mention speeding tickets. 🙂
Great reaction.
I hope you do more of it.
Being someone who cares a lot about the first reaction, I searched your channel for “babymetal” and found nothing. I would be very happy if you would link me your first reaction.
I looked through videos, my first was their collab was Kingslayer with Bring me the Horizon, and it may have been taken down. I’ll keep looking, I apologize
@@gawgia3 Thank you👍
Electric Callboy are the most entertaining & joyful band in the world right now, Germans have not put out a bad song in last 3 years and live shows just a massive rave of metal & EDM riffs!! 😆🤘
Both bands seamlessly switch genres in their songs. Babymetal I would say is more they switch genres between songs, not necessarily within one song. Electric Callboy on the other hand, typically will switch genres mid song throughout. Also to answer one of your questions, considering that Kevin has been doing harsh vocals for EC since 2010, I'm fairly confident we can say that he is doing them in a healthy way. Definitely need to check more of their stuff out, which for them I would suggest We Got the Moves as a good next step. For Babymetal, similar to Grington, didn't find any Babymetal songs other than this one on your channel so unsure of which you already know. However, I would also agree with Grington's suggestion of doing Monochrome Live @ PIA Arena.
More BABYMETAL!
Yeehaw
yeehaw form Germany 🤘
