How reliable is it?
BMW has an amazing camera system with the Bird's Eye View; much, much better than a 2020 GMC Sierra Denali camera system, yet the X5 is an "SAV" and the Sierra is a pickup truck. I would purchase both once I make my license lol.

So do I (Inline 6 whether if gas or turbodiesel, as well as the V8, and it would be a crime not to love the inline 4 in their models ending with -28i or -28d.

I am from the U.K., it us interesting to see how much the speciation differs across different markets.
The UK and EU models have the 30d diesel, 40i, 50i and M50i petrol engine designations. In North America the 30d is not available.
I like they are not forcing a 4 cylinder for the base model

I love the look of the inline 6 and sure it has the B58 engine which is what I would want along with heated/cooling massaging seats and maybe let the vehicle depreciate for a year or two and get one that has perhaps a coffee interior color. Do not want white interior because it will absorb denim dye from your pants.

Nice! Consumer Reports gave the 2019 model a positive review as well, but of course they don't share as much detail as your thorough reviews. I've always liked the X5, and something I'll look hard at for my next ride, but will likely wait for the hybrid version, which hopefully will be available in the US sometime this year. Otherwise, maybe a Model Y :)
I have this car. Mine is sport pkg, and almost every other option, except the glass controls. One thing I must say is that the ride is very different between air suspension and non. Drive both before making your selection.
What’s the difference?
You just have to drive them back to back and see what you like. The air suspension is like driving on air bags
I hope bmw continues to make the x5 like this I wanna have it as my dream car in 2028.

All reviews do not manage to feedback to BMW some of the irritations of ownership. The boot tray is poorly designed, it wastes lots of useful space. There is no net in the boot recess to store shopping bags. Also, possibly the biggest issue is the cars width, it fills standard car parks spaces.
Can the bottom part of the rear door be left open and the top part closed so a long object can stick out of the back?
I love how the X5 is siblings with the Supra! XD. I love this car all over and I think the X5M is the best overall sporty suv on the market.
Bryson Smith yes! Same engine as the shoes, the B58 is an incredible engine, it is the replacement of the engine that I have, the N55.

Cool But, The BMW X5 has never been a FWD Crossover. Learn your vehicle classifications please, their are differences. BMW calls them SAV's too.
'Cool but', learn some civility and the difference between there and their (see how that works?). They review hundreds of cars a year and last time we checked are still human. We all state things incorrectly on occasion. One would think you were a Patreon for this channel.
Crossovers can be both FWD or RWD based so long as they are based on a unibody chassis foundation (which X5 is). Also, we typically don't get into brands marketing jargon like 'SAV' or calling 4 door vehicles 'coupes'. Just to let you know where we are coming from

I do not understand why newer european cars are unreliable, they used to be reliable.
DSTY any car can be reliable once you properly maintain it, if you don’t have the money to afford it don’t bother and that’s what people don’t realize

Eric Chen very true. Have not had any issues with my X5 after 4 years and 64,000 miles, minus a shattered windshield and a shattered headlight lens, both of which were hit by rocks. However I will say replacement parts cost ridiculous amounts, the windshield was thankfully covered by insurance, but the headlight lens was not. Cost me over $1,300 to replace it with the OEM part at the dealer.
@@mattX5 Same, we have a X5 with 50k miles on it and not a single problem with it. Parts can be very expensive but quality is very good with these German brands

1.they need to stop giving bland ,uglier rims every iteration,it’s as if their trying to see how stupid they can make the rims that come with the car ....then first gen had lovely rims and the bigger options where just beautiful.
2.why aren’t they trying to increase rear seat room/space.but making the car bigger and bigger.whats the sense of increasing the size then🤷🏾♂️ ..we buy SUV’s for room & height .
3.the center screen does not say 2020
4.they just flattened the wheel well & removed the running Boards...the x5 has turned into a garbage mid size suv,when it started as a leader in the pack..even the way the hood and front shaped is just stupid,I though they would have changed that goofy design in 2020.. what they do..keep it and those stupid jumbo hexagonal grill

Thomas Storrs here we go, with the uneducated people who have never owned or driven a bmw and are calling it trash. Stay in school buddy. My 2016 X5 is my first bmw I’ve ever owned, and I’m never going back to Audi.

I have owned 5 bmw's. Starting in 1984 up to the latest 2014. The last few years bmw has started to pay attention. The b58 engine is a big improvement. By the way I do all my own repairs. I know these cars pretty well.
