Happy Monday guys! We're still tweaking and perfecting this new style intro. Hopefully you guys saw it in our last upload on the 2019 NSX but we think it turned out great on this new X5 video. Just wanted to make a quick clarification, BMW still does not offer Android Auto in their vehicles so ignore when Sofyan says it has it. Currently, they only have the wireless Apple CarPlay which we demonstrate in the interior portion of the video. Rumors are saying they will add Android Auto soon but we're not sure when. We apologize for that mistake and thank you all so much for watching!
Redline Reviews this now looks like a weak attempt to be like savagegeese. Just keep your content original and stop copying Andie the Lab and SavageGeese styles. Or don’t post live videos of these attempts, don’t you have an internal team to get good at it before you splatter your subs with subpar cinematics? Completely tone deaf
@Ken Shapiro really? what was great about this? why am I cocking my head to look at some of this footage? 626K subscribers and you can't afford to make the content better? Either stop pretending to be Savage Geese or Andie the Lab and just stick to what you know or actually get better. This is what pisses me off about this channel.
Robert Moses oh please, why don’t you go to savagegeese’s channel and yell at him for copying other creators anytime he speaks a full sentence without awkward pausing? His videos are as long as they are because dude can’t talk LOL
Have you guys ever considered adding nighttime footage to the full reviews? Just to give the perspective of what the vehicles look like at night, especially the head/tail lights etc. and interior lights and those kinds of details... just would be a really nice touch to your already stellar vids.
Hey that's a good idea, I like that Sofyan within the last year has incorporated his own 0 to 60 times in his videos, like Alex on autos. It's always nice to get a real-world 0 to 60 time👌
I've been complaining about this every video. At least it's not a dance track this time but I still can't hear what he's saying if he chooses to speak at the same time as the music is blasting. Does no one watch these videos back before they post them?
These American built X5s had lousy reliability. I had two of them. All kinds of leaks started right after the basic warranties expire. BMW expects everyone to lease their cars, pay huge amounts of interest on the leases and turn them in after 3 years with no equity. They then CPO them and make another round of money on them. Interesting business model. Don’t be fooled By nice interiors. They are of no use when there are expensive maintenance issues.
Maybe some American built "monday cars"... or "lemons", like you say in the USA. But I can tell you, that I have completely different experiences with the X5 here in Germany. The X5 is as reliable as every other premium BMW car. I really don't know what you are talking from. There is only one BMW quality control, which has the same level in every production facility. No matter if it's in Regensburg, Dingolfing, München/Germany, or in Spartanburg/South Carolina.
Reply to SJW Maniac. I appreciate your comments about how well your BMW X5 has worked out for you. My experience with US built X5 spans 10 years of ownership and I am sorry to say I do NOT share your experience and we just agree to disagree. Also, I want to acknowledge the great videos that Redline Reviews has always done for the benefit of the US automotive community.
@12:45 Once the X7 was released, BMW discontinued the 3rd row option on the X5. If you want a 3rd row, you’ll have to find a X5 that was built before 3/1/19. Also @13:26 that’s not a “rear seat entertainment prep package” (Audi Q7 offers that), instead it’s where you can attach things like an iPAD, laptop, or even hang up a coat.
I don’t know what you’re talking about. I just got my 2019 X5 with 3rd row delivered this week as of Aug. 15th. I have no problem getting the 3rd row with all the extras that I wanted. As a side note for those who don’t know, if you get the 3rd row, the second row will be equipped with motorized reclining and sliding function. Also the 2nd row can be automatically fold down or retracted with a push button on the seat itself and inside the trunk. Hope this help you decide.
AJ Lee I hate to say this to you but mine was ordered late June. It was put into production mid July and I received it Aug. 15th. The sticker on the car said 07/19 I guess that’s what you’re referring to. 😬
Peter T, once again. The X5 is no longer available with a 3rd row. I work for BMW. You cant configure a 3rd row anymore. Trying building one on the BMWs website. It’s not an option.
Have to agree with what others have said. The intro music is over the top and it's distracting to what you're trying to communicate. I always skip the intro music and get to the review. All the camera work is wasted IMO.
Love these BMW suv’s but the reliability kills me! The BMW’s built for us Americans are crap compared to the ones built in Germany. They last so much longer and have very few issues over there. Something we’ve never had.
Agreed - just not worth the headache at this price point - even basic maintenance after their plan is ridiculous. However, if you can afford these ya just don't care - it's about the badge and performance.
Edward Brinson I have a friend that had an X3 that was about two years old and it was burning all of its oil as if it was gas. Had to come in every 2,000 miles for new oil because the car would run out. The dealership always gave it to him for free instead of dealing with the issue. It’s almost as if they knew the car was done for but didn’t want to take care of it. It was still under warranty, thank god, but ended up replacing the entire engine at 19,000 miles.
I recently requested a mid-size sedan from a rental agency. They were out, but they gave me a nice upgrade for the same price: a BMW X7 i40! It was awesome! It’s now making me wonder how I might afford one. I would probably opt for this X5 for the modest boost in mileage and slightly better feel, since I would be the lone occupant 90% of the time, while retaining the towing capacity of the X7.
Once again love the narration at the beginning. But once again if you're talking at the same time as the music is playing I really can't hear what you're saying.
I fell asleep... not because it was boring lol. Seriously though, out of all the reviewers I listen to, if I only could listen to one, it would be you. Keep it up.

I really enjoying watching your reviews Sofyan! You go into great details and give very honest opinions. I don’t always agree with them, however each of us have our own thoughts. I know you review all these great new vehicles that come out, from low end to high end models. The high prices they are asking for these newest editions with all the added features is unreal, but everything goes up. What I’m really interested in is the actual value ( depreciation ) of these vehicles after 3-4 years. And cost of repairs etc. Have you given any thought to doing periodic reviews of some of the vehicles after 5 years ownership, to really give consumers an idea of just how badly they depreciated and their high repair bills? Just a thought! Keep up the great work Sofyan!
I totally agree, he has always given his subjective opinion, and it's just that an opinion. Just because you don't agree with him you don't have to write a mean comment saying that he's a crappy reviewer, it's actually very respectful that he goes against the grain sometimes he's come a long way👌
You are so kind when reviewing the second row space, new GLE offers much more leg room space than X5, and RX can move and recline the second row seat.....the new X5 should do better job!

I really do like the X5. I have a new X3 and 2019 3 Series and I like the 3 Series has the matte finish around the iDrive and other controls. Not sure why the X5 and X3 have it glossy. Gets really dirty.
Wait, Sport Activity Vehicle? Does this mean the Santa Cruz SAV was created by the same team that says they created the segment? Most be.
Wait if you can get 3 rows in the x5 why would anybody buy the 7? For more features that are really just gimmicks?
The X7 is much bigger, you idiot. If you want to carry kids only, the X5 is fine. If you want to carry adults and have the captain seats and many other features, the X7 is good. But aren't you too poor to even get any of those, let alone a wheel?
