    As a 3d artist myself, i actually started with 3ds max for 5 years, but when i changed job and started working in vfx, i had since switched to cinema 4d as the entire studio was using it, and since then, i ordered a perpetual license and i’ve since enjoyed my experience with cinema 4d
    Also please do not misunderstand, blender is awesome, i have used it on certain occasions and it has great potential, its just that the tools i regularly use for completing my projects are inside c4d
    And remember, there is no such thing as the BEST 3d software, user preference always comes first

    C4D is not even anywhere close to blender for polymodeling lol. Same with UI, yeah it's more intuitive, but even, they copied blender's UI and icons 1-1 when R25 came out, take a look at the comments under that video on Maxon's channel. "C4D stands out in volume modeling and parametric modeling?" What are you even smoking, dude? Blender is hands down the best tool for modeling and that includes the parametric modeling with modifiers, and you can get the volume modeling thing in blender too by using the voxel remesh modifier, and it works better than C4D's volume modeller. FYI, no one takes c4d outside mograph community seriously, it's pretty bad for everything except mograph.

    I started out with C4D when I was younger and switched to Blender later on. This was because the cost of C4D Blender is just not even a competition. Blender is amazing and has it quirks ofcourse, but so does C4D. I tried C4D again last year and was actually kind of lost haha. I am so used to Blender now and just finding great plugins, that I have zero reasons to even try C4D anymore.

    Your video is interesting, I use both! 🔥 And I can say Blender for modeling, uv, add-ons fosure makes my life easier. For example, I use Human generator, droplet and the one of the trees and for the car rigg also. And Cinema 4D for animation of cloth physics, simulation, Mograph etc.. Yes, c4d is expensive but as old user of c4d I can't switch definitely to blender cuz depending on which industry of 3d u working for me it's cinema 4d. It’s not an uncommon thing to use two different softwares for different purposes, especially if one is free. I’d recommend blender for modelling capabilities and motion graphics in C4D, however I’d suggest starting with blender in general and once you’re ready to move forward try C4D!

    The so-called expert who made this joke of a video, doesn't even know that Cinema 4D comes with Redshift as its main render engine. Unfortunately, TH-cam gives the option for any nobody to make videos on serious topics with 0 information or expertize. Pathetic!

    • @JerelNorthern
      @JerelNorthern 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I hear ya! And I'm a C4D fanboy for sure! But at the moment, there is still an "extra" cost for RS GPU. You only get access to the CPU version without the extra sub I believe!

    • @BrockCreative
      @BrockCreative  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Cinema4D comes with Redshift as a CPU renderer only, if you’ve worked in 3D before you’d be well aware that nobody wants to render without a GPU.
      Whilst I appreciate you engaging with my video, I’m informed enough on both softwares to be making a comparison video - I use and love both softwares, I’m really unsure where your attitude is coming from 😂

    Do you have experience on both? if so, how smooth is it switching or transitioning between the two if you were to use both in the same workflow? Like do they have the same shortcuts and buttons for navigations? is the UI placement similar? I want to use C4D as an overall software, but use blender for modelling due to its superior tools

    • @BrockCreative
      @BrockCreative  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@kraney195 I use both yes! I wouldn’t say it’s a rough transition, the UI is different and the shortcuts aren’t exactly the same so how smooth it feels is dependant on you as the user. I will say C4D knowledge will overall help you in your transition as it’s all essentially the same fundamentals just different ways to do it.
