My s1000xr has had 2 top engine rebuilds (camshafts) new rear shock, water pump, speedo, key barrel, and camchain tensioner, I definitely got a Friday afternoon bike from Bmw. I think I’ll take my chance with the 1290 s and trade the Xr in !!! I would take electrical problems over faulty engine parts any day !! Great video Bruce !! 👍
I own a GS, but rented a KTM1290 super adventure on a trip to the US. Completely loved how the bike rode, agree with your summary including the menus driving me mad. And I got gremlins too when the bike kept flashing “no key”, not what you want to see miles from anywhere. From ref the bike was only 3 months old.
Great review. I have owned my 2018 R1200GSA since May of 2018 and it has been trouble free and a pleasure to ride. Prior to the GSA I had a 2016 R1200RT that was trouble free and a pleasure to ride. I am fortunate and I ride a 2018 R1200RTP (police bike) for work since 2010. I still remember back in early 2018 when I was making the transition from my RT to my current GSA. I rode the KTM 1290 Super Adventure and the Ducati Multistrada. Both the Ducati and KTM had more power but that was not the most important reason for me to buy them over the BMW GSA. The BMW felt more refined and comfortable for me.
".....trying to get rid of me off the back". "yearm". 😂. Classic. We do want to share our ride outs with our partner but deep down know it rides better solo. Great video and appreciate the extra planning needed for this , it works in giving a good feel for how it compares and day to day living with it.
As a pillion only rider i really enjoy these reviews where Mrs Teapot is on the back, we are not looking for a new bike at the mo but for us it's really interesting to hear a pillions opinion on different bikes were we to win some money and could buy a new bike lol! Enjoy the interaction between you both too 😊
Absolutely brilliant video 👏 Laughing my a**e off at the 'puddle' crossing 🤣 I do enjoy hearing Mrs Teapots input, always entertaining. More if the same please Bruce, and Mrs 👍 Grumps
Hehehehe! The river crossing suddenly got a lot deeper than I was expecting! Fair play. As someone who's owned a 90's Ducati AND a Buell, the prospect of owning a KTM probably wouldn't frighten me!
Definitely more riding videos too please Bruce, good to hear chat whilst riding about, maybe even some more tractor vids. Nice to see something other than a basic review too so appreciated this one.
It's funny how GS riders don't talk about the issues they have. Eg electrical, drive shaft issues. Rust etc. All brands have their issues. I have had a 640 adventure and trouble free for 40 000 klms in harsh Australian conditions. I am now enjoying a 1290 Super Axventure R. Damn fine for me. You hit the nail on the head when you said the ?ktm"s are fun to ride. I am 72 years young and
I’m on my 3rd GS and ridden well over 100,000 miles - only issues I’ve had in that time was a stuck flapper valve (which I’ve had on every bike I’ve owned), and now have a front shock which is failing. I’ve no problem with a bike having issues - if you ride them enough then you’re going to have them. For me it’s how the dealership/manufacturer deals with them which counts. KTM have a bad track record in that department for sure, not as bad as Ducati thankfully, but all pale in comparison to how well BMW treats its customers in general. There are exceptions obviously
Disappointing you suffered from some tech issues on the KTM, seems to be a common problem with some of them regarding the battery connections etc. It is still an amazing bike and I’d dearly love to own one.........especially now that we all know they’re amphibious 🤔. Enjoying the review(s) well done Bruce 👍
Based upon my 7 yrs, 54k miles of fun and not a single breakdown on my 1190 Adv, I would go with the KTM again. Service cost is also lower compared to the GS.
"You'll do as you want anyway" from Mrs Teapot, that's definitely a get one if you want, but like you said, it's the reliability that's the question mark.
Reliability aside, which I know is a big concern for many, I know it was for me and one of the two main reasons that I finally dismissed a new KTM. The other is KTM's fondness for flash sales and heavily discounted prices especially towards the end of the year, where they slash the price of a new bike by thousands which in turn hurt used prices, what you thought your year old bike was worth you can now buy a new one for so you get a kick in the teeth come px time. If KTM could sort out both these issues, I'd have one in a heart beat, but as it stands, I'm not up for playing russian roulette on reliability or with my bank account. Such a shame, as they do make some stunning bikes.
Awesome video brother! My wife was like “will our Tiger cross water like that too? If Teapot can do it then we can!” Now you started something brother!
I just got to your comment on reliability, I have a 1190 adventure and bought it brand new. I had an oil leak on the left side of the engine, gas gauge kept getting stuck, lost the rear brake fluid cover riding, all within the first 100miles. But once these issues were fixed it’s been trouble free for the last 6 years and 10,000 miles. I love it and wouldn’t trade it for any other bike even though I really like those new “tractors”. I am not a huge long distance rider and like the thrill of the power and nimbleness of the bike. My friend purchased a new 1290 2 years ago and has new bike gremlins also. I wish KTM would get their QC on new bikes under control, but long term they are great bikes.
Bruce, I own a '17 1290 SAS. My biggest gripes with it are its fueling, and high speed stability. Love to hear your (or your subscribers') comparison on those 2 issues. Ty in advance.
Great review Bruce , I need to get a go on one of these. I highly recommend getting yourself on a TrialsDay. I didn't like riding in the wet on road, few trials days and I'm really comfortable off-road, no MX / Enduro god, but markedly better
Good on you, Bruce, for tackling that water crossing. I was laughing as it got deeper and when your mate said he was going to ride around it 😂 Entertaining stuff!! 👍
Enlightening vid, thanks. I have never been anti GS and will probably end up owning one in few years when I need to slow the pace down a bit for two up touring. My KTM SAS has been faultless since the failed engine case gasket causing a weep was fixed under warranty after 2 months from new, but then all bikes are capable of developing faults, I was unlucky. The gremlins you encountered are probably down to buggy software? BMW seem to do more reliable software I concede though. In contrast a guy I know had his GS shaft fail twice and his rear shock electrics fail. I'm 6 foot 2. I have the ergo seats on my 2018 SAS and my missus does get a numb backside after an hour. It's not so much the seat, its the vibes at higher revs (6k plus so for overtakes) and the bumps in the road which she hates even under Comfort setting. It looks like the suspension is better, shame you couldn't get out with Mrs TP1 for a 2 to 3 hour trip with a top box to see what her findings were. I'm pretty sure I'll be 'side-grading' to the SAS but not until 2022.
I came from a Yamaha Super Tenere to a 1290 Super Adventure S. The Super Tenere is more similar to the GS when standing. The KTM had me more hunched over while standing on the pegs. I've since done risers and it has helped a lot. That really helped sort the ergos for me.
Great vid Bruce, that is some machine. I still prefer the looks of the GS, but the KTM ticks all the other boxes for sure. Fair play on the water crossing, looked a right giggle 😆
Have the 2018 since half a year. Bought it with 7000 km and now I am on 17000 km. I live in Peru and we have some of the most awesome mountain roads with twisty turns and passes of 5000 Meter plus. Did a day ride from the pacific shore to Lake Titicaca in one day, riding from 0 to 4870 Meters ending the day in 4000 at Puno. What fun this bike is! Did a tour last March with my wife from Peru - Bolivia - Argentina - Chile and back to Peru. No issues at all so far. My wife never had any comfort issues and enjoyed the ride, apart from crossing the mad traffic cities of El Alto and Potosi in Bolivia, where you cross red lights, because the guys behind you won't stop. Love the bike and she is so much fun to ride and flips trough the switch backs with such pleasure. Ride safe!
Changed my GSA for a 1290 SAS which was a great bike to ride in way of performance and handling and I liked some of the thoughtful things built in to the bike, however after twelve months of electronic maladies and poor dealer support it had to go. I have now got a 1050 Vstrom XT which hasn't got the wow factor but I have no concerns over its reliability and I have great dealer support. I don't do serious off road so the strom is more than adequate for real road riding. I have a RT for long haul touring but I guess if I only had one bike I would go back to a GSA
"I'm on a KTM dear, I can't not go fast" 🤣🤣 Bruce "I want to pull off quite quick" - Mrs Teapot "Not for the first time" 🤣🤣🤣 Very thorough review Bruce. I jumped on a GS for the first time in 3 years and it felt like home and can see me owning another one in the very near future.
HI Bruce a great road test and an honest opinion on the KTM I rode a GS GSA for 9 years trouble free apart from a couple of warranty parts which was picked up at servicing and dealt with, I’m now 14 months in on a 1290sas and have experienced a few electrical gremlins when riding locally and my dealer has put them right. Just hoping I have no further problems when touring in Europe in the summer. I love the bike and its power and looks its nice to ride a bike and not see loads of the same bikes about as per GSA.😊
Great review Bruce, get my new 1290 SAS on Tuesday (replacing my 2019 SAS) chatted to a bloke today on the way back from Scotland today, he was on a new 1290 and had moved from a long line of GSAs - he told me so far no regrets. If you are close to a good dealer and can live with the odd gremlin / character manifestation then the 1290 KTM is just amazing. I will miss my 2019 SAS but can't wait to get the new one. Oh and for reference the 10k I have done on my current 1290 have been incident free (apart from fuel gauge sensor)
I own the 2020 sas, 5k km in. No problems what so ever thus far. Coming from sportsbikes (latest zzr1400) i must say this bike is really my cup of tea teapot! Crazy power and super comfy. Not trading in anytime soon for the new model or the GS. This bike is so much fun! if needed, there are plenty of decent KTM dealerships over here in the Netherlands. With the new model, like every other new model from any other brand, i would wait one or two years to let them solve the new problems. Besides that, this new model also looks great to me. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Appreciate your thorough research, thanks for sharing!
Congratulations! This is s fantastic video, very professional, excellent sound quality (from you... What is that headset/intercom), quality reviews and points raised by everyone, splendid video. I have been lucky with my previous KTM but any very minor issues I had were sorted by excellent service from Andy and Darren at Premier Bikes near Abingdon (rather than that lot in Maidstone) but as I now live in Canada, I'll need a new dealer! Thanks for an excellent video!
Thanks Dave, That’s great to hear you’ve enjoyed the vid bud, thanks for the great feedback. I use the Cardo Pactalk Bold Comms cardosystems.refr.cc/teapotone 👍
If you find a GS dull, you probably need to ride it properly! While I will say the KTM is more exiting calling a GS full is pure bollocks! I’ve had several GS’s and I really fancy a change. I rode my first ever KTM yesterday, a 2022 SAS! Man I need that bike! Bloody brilliant. I loved the multi V4S but can’t be doing with the crap fuel range and cost! The new triumph tiger 1200 was a disappointment. So next year a KTM SAS for me, bit worried about resale values but hey! Life is too short.
Love this type of vid. Surprisingly different approach to a review even though its not actually that different (If that makes sense haha). Nice one! Really decent vid
I get what Matt means about the coast to change. I'm on my 5th BMW and 3rd GS Adventure, Ive often looked at the KTM but to be honest I just can't get past the look of the headlight, I'm also sold on shaft drive. I loved the comments from Mrs Teapot .....
Very good review mate. Last year I got myself a new VFR800X from my one and only Honda dealer and it was a complete nightmare. Sold it after 10mths and got myself A Triumph Tiger 800xca and the difference is amazing. Not just the bike but Blades dealership was 2nd to none. As for KTM a lot of people I speak to say th same about the reliability and when you ride solo a lot reliability is a must. Stay safe all and enjoy the ride whatever bike you have 🤣
I wish my GS was as good as yours , I have had endless problems with mine . It’s just had new wheels for example and it’s just over a year old ! It’s broken down twice , been in the dealers six times for al sorts of other issues . Hence watching your review , it looks like I will be making the switch to the orange side. Nice review.
Love the video Bruce. I'm with you on the BMW GS. Great bike with terrific dealer service. I would have both if the wife would let me. KTM for the pure fun rides and the GS for the touring. Cheers brother.
Good video that teapot! Have to say as a bmw owner myself for past 4 years I’d be staying with bmw as well. Things go with mileage I know, but the dealers network is good. 👍
😂🤣 brilliant I loved my 1250 BUT my new 1290 is just awsome, maybe doesn’t feel as planted as my gs ish but biking for me is all about fun and the new 1290 (had the old 1290) is an incredible machine. Buttons menus you just get used to. Another great vid 👌🏼that’s the best vid IMO you have ever done 👌🏼
@@teapotone I have a Yamaha Super Tenere and although I really like it, I have been looking at a BMW S1000XR but the KTM Super Adventure may fit the bill even better!
Brilliant vid Bruce i ride a Harley and VFR i reckon in 5 years i,ll be looking at steppin up tp to a Road adventure bike only because the body is breakin down and the info you supply us with is graet cheers Glenn.
Great review again, bought a new 1290 Super Adventure S after having my previous GS for 9 years. Enjoying it sofar but as you highlighted the turn signal cancel is not fit for purpose, though they are self cancelling doesn't help when you need to turn it off before going across a left after exiting a roundabout.
Loved the vid... I recognised those roads... I can also recommend Jim Aim Motorcycles, I bought my 390 Adventure from there ( I've had no issues with it so far).
Nice and interesting review! Had 3 beemers over the last few years. The latter (1200GSA) got "perked up" to fake 1250 level. Loved it, we did in excess of 55k kilometers together. Before it (and rider) smashed into road fenders last year. Back on feet (took a while) decided to try something new. Bought a 2019 1290SAS. Without trying (had a return deal). I'm roughly 6"3. The first impression of the KTM was not so good. Stock seat much too hard (for me). Handlebar position wrong. Also did not like the engine behavior on lower RPM. After some research I did 3 (I think crucial) modifications to the 1290. Ergo seats, Offset handlebar risers and, last but not least. got a Booster plug fitted. That changed the experience and rideability of the 2019 1290 ... radically. My bike, if you ride it fairly average, uses 4.6 liters per 100km. I've since ridden the new 1290SAS. To be honest, aside of the electronics, if I one day upgrade it's because I want something newer. Down the line. Or, I go back to BMW. However, geometry of the old, with aforementioned mods, fits a tall bloke very well. So strangely enough, the geometry of the new will take some time getting used to. I'll have a go again. As for the engine, well. the older 1290 with Booster plug, actually is pretty similar to the new. With the added bonus of the mileage, which I don't know if I'll achieve, on the new. I like both BMW & KTM. So flip flopping might be my fate henceforth. :) Cheers
I’ve owned the 18 GSA Rallye and traded in for a new suv. When I bought another bike it was a 19 ktm 1290 adv R. I want to see the new 2022 when released here but I kinda love the boxers.
Enjoyed this comparison video Bruce....was just wondering how you record the voice / sound over the two intercom systems to get them on your video? maybe the topic for a future video?
LoL BMW in Southern California has reliability issues. the Police use GS's here and they have problems. But then my FJR Yamaha I have 320,000 miles no problems and same with Hondas I have had over 100,000 miles.. but my 1994 KTM 250exc I raced hard and fast in the desert I had no reliability problems always got me back to the camp.. Reliability is really not an issue with Hondas or Yamaha's. I still want the Katoom.. but I love the look of the Scrambler 1200XE Steve Mcqueen modal..... Love your video love the country you ride through
Great review Bruce, looking at an adventure bike (currently ride a Speed Triple RS and GTR1400 so sell both) as a next purchase so really interested in your thoughts....leaning towards the KTM for its engaging ride. I live in the N E of Scotland near Forres so need to pop down to Drysdales the KTM dealer at Perth for a test ride. Thanks for the informative vid.
Pillion reviews, big tick. Thank you. The 'Whipped Cream Power Delivery ', doesn't overcome the reliability worries because I travel a lot with her ladyship on the back and getting stranded with her would not be good. But I think things are changing. I'm watching the 890 carefully. Happy travels
Great video - You and Richyvida should do a green lane vid together. This will defo be on my list to test ride next time I change bikes. Keep up the sterling work.
Loved the clip of your riding through the water 👍🏼I’m sticking with my 1250GSA for another year and we’ll see next year. I am trying a new super duke on Saturday as a potential replacement for my Hypermotard 950.
You just went through that water..without really inspecting it before, on a bike that belongs to someone else.. as the first peson in a group.. with your hardly existent offroad skill ( your words ).. really ?!?!? Never ever call anyone a: brainless, lunatic, crazy, unresponsible, childish, mindless, mad dicky vegas, mr. fish.. or anyone else, silly ! I LOVED it Bruce ! Made my day and I had a hell of a laugh.. once I could breathe again after holding it till you reached the other side. Brilliant !
As a GS owner myself I was interested in seeing what your views were on the new KTM. What a thoroughly enjoyable review and nice to hear others sharing their views from pillion and current KTM owner perspective. Great stuff, thank you!
Im in GSA '07 just now and can´t decide if get 1250 or this 1290... but im too repeating all day... yes dear... to my wife. She told you decide but you know, its a trap! :P Thanks for great video, helped me a lot and cleared some points.
My partner and I have both, the BMW GS TE & KTM Super Adv R. Although the KTM engine is very strong and more exiting, I did have issues with the bike. The KTM build quality can not be compared to the BMW. Starts from the cheap bolts that get corroded in no time, to the frame welding and paint quality. The KTM costumer service has always been crap, while exactly the opposite with BMW that always made me feel how valuable costumer I am to the firm.
Thanks for making this video - entertaining and informative. I'm about to splash out on an adventure bike and these are my two finalists. I loved the low water crossing.
The GSA does “a lot of things really well” and IMHO has nicer much fit and finish. BMW’s TFT screen is the best in the business. The KTM does some things really well, it just doesn’t have the overall fit and finish. For me, the GSA all day, every day. Good review. Ride safe snd ride often.
Aye I’m the same - I think the KTM is more engaging a ride, way more entertaining and fun - but I’d still have the GS above it at present for the overall quality of finish, I think it’s more comfortable, and I prefer the dealer network and customer care I get from the BMW brand 👍
I think I recognise a few of those buildings you drove past. Is that maybe Dundee? If so, it brings back golden memories when I did some work there many moons ago. I currently own the 2019 KTM 1290 Super Adventure R, and it's a beast. Have seen the 2021 R model in the shop here when I took mine for service, and the gears in my head is spinning. Absolutely stunning colours on the newer 2021 R model.
Great video Bruce, and I think the same as you, absolutely love the bike, I have a 2019 SAS but 9k on the clock and I have had it into KTM for ignition button just not doing anything, and they changed the push button, now its done the same thing again about 2 months down the line. Had to van it home, and how long might it take to get booked into get it sorted. 🤷♂️
One of your best uploads yet Bruce ( alternative review from Mrs Bruce... its “alright” 🤣 ) the conversation you guys had from around 17.30 about the difference in reliability, manufacturer and dealer experience was spot on and pretty much why the GS will still outsell the SA, shame really but KTMs are bikes you buy with your heart and hope it will work and BMWs you buy with your head and know it will work, great work, ride safe fella 👍🏻😎
I'm so pleased to hear pillion opinions. Thanks to Mrs Teapot for her thoughts.
The husband/wife banter is brilliant! you should do more of these dude
My s1000xr has had 2 top engine rebuilds (camshafts) new rear shock, water pump, speedo, key barrel, and camchain tensioner, I definitely got a Friday afternoon bike from Bmw. "I don't know what you mean, dear."

Hahaha 😂 I really love the chat between two of them. They absolutely honest to each other on camera as well 😂
Great review. I have owned my 2018 R1200GSA since May of 2018 and it has been trouble free and a pleasure to ride. Prior to the GSA I had a 2016 R1200RT that was trouble free and a pleasure to ride. The sign of a good video like this one is that it’s as good after more than one viewing!
Thanks bud 👍
Charming. Didn’t even pay attention to the bike review just the enjoyable banter between a happy couple. 👍🙏
My DW & I (51 yrs) have decided that our bickering is what keeps us going.
Great vid Bruce. It's good to see you go the extra bit out of your comfort zone. But the water crossing , ha PMSL 😂😂😂
Good video, I’d struggle to consider a KTM with the issues that friends’ bikes have had. Good on Mrs Teapot for coming out with you.
Re reliability and dealer experience. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised with both.
Yep they repair everything real quick
Great video Bruce - off road riding is beginning to draw you in - can't wait to see you take "The Tractor" off road
Absolutely brilliant video 👏
Laughing my a**e off at the 'puddle' crossing 🤣
I do enjoy hearing Mrs Teapots input, always entertaining.
More if the same please Bruce, and Mrs 👍
Grumps
Mrs Teapot 👏👏👏👍 and Bruce looks like you need new boots 🤣🤣 great vid mate, looked like it was fun to film 🤣🤣🍺👏👏
Ha Ha cheers Tony, aye I’ve ground mine away - hence why they’re no longer waterproof! 😬😂🤦♂️
Hehehehe! The river crossing suddenly got a lot deeper than I was expecting! Fair play. As someone who's owned a 90's Ducati AND a Buell, the prospect of owning a KTM probably wouldn't frighten me!
"How does it feel dear?"
"I'm not on it yet"
Every man nightmare 🤣🤣
Definitely more riding videos too please Bruce, good to hear chat whilst riding about, maybe even some more tractor vids. Nice to see something other than a basic review too so appreciated this one.
Bruce my boy you are well trained. "Yes my Dear." The words of a happy marriage.
Absolutely 😇 😉
A universal truth sir. 😆

yes parts are WAY lower, I own 3 ktms and 3 bmw's inc the R1200gsa and yea, parts are stupid for bmw.
I seem to remember Bruce taking out a very brand new GSA from BMW and it breaking down within 24 hours (lorry recovery).
Yep 👍

Cheers Simon 👍
I love these reviews with the pillion. No preconceived notions. Just give how it actually feels to them.
Crackin edit and video again! Best in the biz, mate! Always a bonus when Nikki makes a special guest appearance 👍🏻🔝🎥🎬
Bruce, I own a '17 1290 SAS. My biggest gripes with it are its fueling, and high speed stability. Love to hear your (or your subscribers') comparison on those 2 issues. Ty in advance.
I watched this on patreon yesterday one of the best vids i,ve seen in a long time keep up the great work.
Great review Bruce , I need to get a go on one of these.
I highly recommend getting yourself on a TrialsDay. I didn't like riding in the wet on road, few trials days and I'm really comfortable off-road, no MX / Enduro god, but markedly better

"It's not Spitting"! Think you need to get Nik on more tests mate......comedy gold but also a very honest appraisal 👍🏻

Ride safe!
I want a second channel with just you and Mrs. Teapot riding around together discussing things.
Ha Ha - sounds like Hell to me! 🤦♂️😂👍
@@teapotone pmfsl😂😂
Changed my GSA for a 1290 SAS which was a great bike to ride in way of performance and handling and I liked some of the thoughtful things built in to the bike, however after twelve months of electronic maladies and poor dealer support it had to go. I have now got a 1050 Vstrom XT which hasn't got the wow factor but I have no concerns over its reliability and I have great dealer support. I don't do serious off road so the strom is more than adequate for real road riding. I have a RT for long haul touring but I guess if I only had one bike I would go back to a GSA
Great to see Mrs Teapot and Matt. Great review video 👍🏻👍🏻
Great laugh at the water crossing.
Cheers bud 👍😂
"I'm on a KTM dear, I can't not go fast" 🤣🤣
Bruce "I want to pull off quite quick" - Mrs Teapot "Not for the first time" 🤣🤣🤣
Very thorough review Bruce. I jumped on a GS for the first time in 3 years and it felt like home and can see me owning another one in the very near future.
Thanks bud, aye they’re like comfortable slippers aren’t they!
But it is nice to pop some running spikes on every now and then 😉
@@teapotone great analogy
Update on my 2021 KTM 1290 - now 4k trouble free miles - not a single error message or issue.
@@brucecutts8841 thanks for the update Bruce, i am currently debating whether to change my GS for the SAS
@@cosminbadea2870 still all good with mine another 1500 miles later.
Cheers Erwin,
Yep I totally agree, the KTM is just so much fun isn’t it👍
Congratulations!
Thanks Dave,
That’s great to hear you’ve enjoyed the vid bud, thanks for the great feedback.
I use the Cardo Pactalk Bold Comms

Cheers Sam 👍
Haven't tried the KTM, it looks great !! I have a BMW GS 1250 TE exclusive and it always puts a smile on my face.
Never had a problem with my KTM superduke GT , so go on pull the plug and go ORANGE. Top video Bruce
Great review Bruce thanks for sharing, especially the parts with mrs Teapot on it and the watery bits ;-)
Great vid. Hopefully test riding the KTM next week? 👍
Great video Bruce .... Think what you need is both bike's to go together ktm and gs at the same time, I think you might be shocked.
Stay safe all and enjoy the ride whatever bike you have 🤣
Cheers Richard 👍
I wish my GS was as good as yours , I have had endless problems with mine . It’s just had new wheels for example and it’s just over a year old ! It’s broken down twice , been in the dealers six times for al sorts of other issues . Hence watching your review , it looks like I will be making the switch to the orange side. Nice review.
Thanks Mark, sorry to hear you’ve had such a nightmare bud
loved mrs teapots input, more please
Love the video Bruce. I'm with you on the BMW GS. Great bike with terrific dealer service. I would have both if the wife would let me. KTM for the pure fun rides and the GS for the touring. Cheers brother.
Your best review so far. Professional job.
Thanks 👍
Agree on that !
My first time on your site because I am interested in the KTM, it won't be the last time, I've subscribed! Excellent honest real world review.
Cheers Mike, great to hear you’re enjoying the channel bud, and thanks for the Sub 👏👍
@@teapotone I have a Yamaha Super Tenere and although I really like it, I have been looking at a BMW S1000XR but the KTM Super Adventure may fit the bill even better!
What a entertaining and funny episode well done Mr Teapot
U r right........the service network and the mechanic are VERY important.
Another great vid! Good on ya for going through the water and keeping it upright. We didn't see if your mate gave it a go...
Ha Ha cheers Del,
No Matt saw sense and went the long way round 😂👍
Brilliant vid Bruce i ride a Harley and VFR i reckon in 5 years i,ll be looking at steppin up tp to a Road adventure bike only because the body is breakin down and the info you supply us with is graet cheers Glenn.
Thanks Glenn, glad you’re finding the vids useful bud 👍
Great review again, bought a new 1290 Super Adventure S after having my previous GS for 9 years. Enjoying it sofar but as you highlighted the turn signal cancel is not fit for purpose, though they are self cancelling doesn't help when you need to turn it off before going across a left after exiting a roundabout.
Yeah that’s exactly what I found too 🤦♂️👍
Loved the vid... I recognised those roads... I can also recommend Jim Aim Motorcycles, I bought my 390 Adventure from there ( I've had no issues with it so far).
Nice video well done could you please tell me what jacket you’re wearing
Been watching you for a while and seeing you at one of my favourite local spots (Finchingfield) was awesome to see 😊
Enjoyed this comparison video Bruce....was just wondering how you record the voice / sound over the two intercom systems to get them on your video? maybe the topic for a future video?
👍
First time I’ve seen you go swimming during a ride! Waterproof boots wouldn’t help as the water was up to your knees. Cheers mate.
Great video mate! Can't wait to see your HD Adventure review. As a competitor to these legendary machines, I've heard only good things
Thanks Rick, aye I can’t wait to get a shot of the new Pan America👍
Loved the clip of your riding through the water 👍🏼I’m sticking with my 1250GSA for another year and we’ll see next year. I am trying a new super duke on Saturday as a potential replacement for my Hypermotard 950.
That water crossing though.... lol!!!
I’m starting to enjoy this off-roading lark 😂
You just went through that water..without really inspecting it before, on a bike that belongs to someone else.. as the first peson in a group.. with your hardly existent offroad skill ( your words ).. really ?!?!? Never ever call anyone a: brainless, lunatic, crazy, unresponsible, childish, mindless, mad dicky vegas, mr. fish.. or anyone else, silly ! I LOVED it Bruce ! Made my day and I had a hell of a laugh.. once I could breathe again after holding it till you reached the other side. Brilliant !
I live at 500 meters from the KTM shop, but you don’t need them! Never had reliability issues. Love my new 2021 890 Adventure 😃
Fantastic, love the mrs teapot segment.
Thanks for making this video - entertaining and informative. I'm about to splash out on an adventure bike and these are my two finalists. I loved the low water crossing.
about time !pillion reviews are needed.

On point once again TeapotUno!
I love the descriptions you both proving. Fun to watch the comparison. Fantastic 👍🥰. Love from India
Love Mrs Teapot, no nonsense review.
😆😆👊cracking vid Bruce.
“Can’t not go fast I’m on a KTM!” 😆😆👍🏍🧡yep ‘bout right.
🙈that Ford was survived well! 😁
Interesting review! One I was waiting on. Seems like the GS is still be bike to beat and as you say has the dealerships to back it up
