a thought.. to get the pole out of the way maybe lay the pole outside on top so it goes across from the spare tire to the center of the tent hub secured with paracord. then use something like a harbo fr8 tarp clip in the center of the fabric with cord or bungee to lift up the sag connecting to the pole. for any open areas the magnets used to hold vinyl wrap are a thought too.
So one thing I do with mine is I have two large suction cups with hooks and put them on my front windshield and stretch cord from the top of that tent tunnel over the top of my car to those suction cups and tighten it up. You have a rack you can bungee cord to the roof rack
Still not sold on the connection to the rear of the vehicle. I noticed small gaps on the sides due to vehicle body shape. I like the suggestion below of magnets!
I think magnets would help with possible wind and wind noise but as far as rain, I think the drainage system from the vehicle will make the water drain under the bumper.
Can you place a 2 x 12 upright between the tire and upper part of the opening to boost the height of the ceiling? Perhaps even cut the edges at 45 degrees on both sides? Hard to tell from just the video.
@@OJCoz For the 2 pole concept: tie the right side pole to the top barn door hinge and the door pull handle. The left side pole can be tied to the latch loop and the plastic cargo net hanger to better bind it into position. Thanks so much for getting on this fix so quickly. Getting ready for a camp out at the end of April and will order this tent today. I like your ideas. Great content. 👊💪
Hello. I am hear in the UK I really like the treakway tent but cant seem to find a supplier who stock,s it either in the UK or anywhere els be great if you know anywhere I can purchase one
I’m going to email my point of contact and see if I can find out anything. Give me a couple days and I will get back to you for watching Gordon. You’ll hear from me soon.
I just got this response from my POC of offroadinggear.com That's awesome! Our SUV pop up tents will be back in 1 to 2 months. By the way, your promo code, "omazingadventure" is always active.
I think i would add magnets, to hold the connection to car tighter, they should of been built in actually.
That’s a pretty good idea. The straps do a good job of cinching the sides down. It magnets would help and be easier
Absolutely get the high powered magnets. I have a Sportz Cove on the back of my Explorer and the magnets keep the bloodsucking insects out.
Haha thanks for your post Cathy!

That’s actually a really good idea. I’ll have to try that next time I roll out:). Thanks for your post!

Thank you for your post! You’re 100% correct. What kind of vehicle do you have it on?

That is a thought. I’ll have to keep playing with it
Good info. Can you use 2 poles on each side to create a pathway in the middle?
I could but I would still have to figure out a way to keep it from sliding

Shorten the tent pole and put it on your roof top,, problem solved 👍
Can it fit a full size f150 with a topper?
I think it will for sure. The connecting piece is very stretchy which works great in wide and tall vehicles.
Thank you
