Looks really good, cool video.....I found a 4 person tent is a one person tent, a 6-8 person tent is a one person tent and a 12-16 person tent is a one person tent.
idea borrowed from other videos, 'universal' straps are not always as good as specific vehicle straps when fully fastened if you think the panels over the sides of the car are letting in wind get some magnets, the fabric will protect your paintwork and it sould fit as tight as if it had been taped down
Thanks for giving us the height dimension. It seems much shorter looking at it through your camera. I have been wanting one for my Ford Explorer. I've been very satisfied with Vevor products.
I'm using mine for the first time in pretty bad weather in Ireland. It's held upwell in consecutive days of wind and rain.. However - major problem.. I bought it advertised as also a stand alone tent.. because I would need to use my car from the campsite. But I can find no way to to close the trunk flap side once its detached farom tne car.. only the fly screen that side zips shut.. the outer part just acts like a parachute billowing up, rain and wind getting inside. The best I could do was try to secure the very top and drag a small teardrop trailer over to block the wind from totally rain soaking the inside of the tent. That did save it but I haven't risked detaching the car again as the wind particularly ..and rain showers have been persistent.. which has limited me to the campsite since.. not the plan when here to meet up with people each day at different venues.. I will have to come up with some way of adding an outer sheet that closes entirely that can solve this major problem. If you are only using it in dry windless weather you could detach your car and just leave the over trunk section as a loose flap but not in any significant breeze as the dome shape just immediately traps air and rises like a balloon. .
I just bought one of these but only to use as a work room off my Subaru Forester Forest Grump and for my dog to have more room. But at night my hatch is down and doors locked after a couple bear adventures and one trying to open the car door. Only black bears but I feel safer in the car at night. I've had coyotes on the roof of the car when camping at night in the Green Mountain National Forest. We don't sleep in a tent...
That's the advantage of sleeping in the car instead of the tent.. you can close the rear door and lock the car and feel more secure.. But of course with the tent attached you can't drive away in the middle of the night if you felt in danger without getting out and unhooking it...if you didn't before going to sleep.☺️
@@shooster5884 I've been unhooking at night because we have to leave early for work. We take wildlife photos and videos and prospect. Better pictures earlier in the day.
@@patriciacooper1308 sounds interesting and rewarding work I'm back at the same campsite in Wexford town.. family events happening one week after the other at the moment. Dry and calm weather this time tg! Having the very basic home made teardrop trailer is working okay... Though the trailer kitchen roof is really too small and low for the attachment given that it's meant for an SUV but it does. Means I can sleeping inl the car just beside it. It's very handy for me having this campsite right at the town as family summer gatherings are often here or within 10 miles of the town. Having a stand up in tent room and the facilities of the campsite gives me independent space and even 'come for coffee' tent space!
How do you close the tent up when you need to go somewhere with your SUV ? I just set mine up for the 1st. time last night and then we had a Thunderstorm, Everything is dry, But, I need to go to the store and leave the Tent Standing... How do I close it up ? Liked/Subscribed !
@@Iridium242 it was okay. The side where it connects to the vehicle I didn't see a way to close it completely when I had to run into town. Pros great for standing and privacy. Holds a lots of things. Cons I wouldn't camp in it when it's cold. I ended up sleeping in my vehicle all the nights I had it setup. Felt flimsy.
Hey thats a great find Ive been searching for a tent like to fit a Dodge Caravan looks like this is it.. The width might be the concern without tearing it.. Great price for sure. 🇺🇲👏👍🏻
Your right noone will mess with our town! Everyone in my neighborhood are ccw, the whole town is packin🎉 even the criminals in Vegas know not to come out here😂
The tent would be better than being a refugee... thanks for sharing 😊

I have a Vevor truck bed tent. I love it. It is easy to set up once you get it down. I’m 5’-11’’ and I can stand in center with ease.

Great find, we've talked about these but didn't know how they work. Thanks for sharing!
It should, not not be as effective but it will work
I bought metal tent stakes at Harbor Freight that I'm pleased with. Nice video.

Good review and great option even for recreational car camping.
Thank you for taking the time to demonstrate this tent. It is very informative and interesting. ⛺️
Cool tent. Thank you for a great video😊😊😊😊
I just ordered today this tent for a camping trip with friends, will see how it goes. I plan to sleep in my suv and use the tent as the day room.
A great option

Just got mine in the mail going to test it out next week in Wyoming.
Hoe did it end up working out for you?

I think there might be two sizes...
Neat item. Thanks for the review.
Come to Florida its warmer. We both can have no place to go together. HAHAHA.
It ain’t cold until it’s in NY cold!!!
Nice review, thanks for the info.
Looks like a queen air mattress would fit, correct?
Yes easily
Can you close your trunk when the tent is on? Thank you. Great video
Yes sir you can.

Hi i like your video! I'm watching from uk. I'm wondering could we use this suv tent with a mini clubman 2008?
Have you ever did a review on the Improved Combat Shelter Tent?
Nope just the LiteFighter 1 Individual Shelter System, did it about 4 years ago
Okay I will have to look for it. Thank you. @@Iridium242
Will this tent work with my Hummer H3 that has a Rear hatch door that opens horizontally Not Up ?
Thanks for your very helpful videos !
*FJB !*
They make some of these tents that connect to the side of the vehicle. It may work better for those with the swing open hatch.
Does this put the vehicle exhaust inside or outside the tent? Could I turn my truck on without fumes spilling into the tent?
In my case it would be pretty close to venting inside the tent so i would probably not use it that way
do you think this would fit on a 1/2 ton truck with a topper?
I think you should be alright fixing it to your truck.
Ordered the suv tent thank you!
Hope you enjoy it!
Have you figured out how the water is drained off the top of the vehicle during a heavy rain?
💜🌟💙🌟💜
I see chemtrails.
