MCF WELDING
Welding skills = on point. Torch skills = “I got a little bit of cleanup” LoL
Tap it again lol
Interesting video young man. Acetylene gas and Oxygen settings need a look at and tip selection. Looks like you had a carburizing flame when you were cutting.
A bit hard to tell on a phone screen.
Dude, this was the excuse you needed to go and buy an arc gouger!
i need a better compressor to arc gouge.. one day!
Make up a reservoir tank that extra capacity will help til you get one
I had 6 100# propane tanks I used to use!
I think you need to revisit your oxygen pressure setting, or get a way bigger tip.
Good work man. I'm learning to stick weld at work and at home on the fly. I really enjoy your videos.
keep at it
Iam suprised you didn't just use a grinding wheel to get though the top plate, then use torch for the rest
Nice professional welding dude!!👍👍🤙🤙
Turned out nice!
Tear down was excruciating, but it was what it was..
I don't think your melting the oxide layer good enough
Beautiful stick work. Great job!
Thank you for welding that uphill 👍
i see lots of people welding 7018 downhill on youtube... people who claim to be welders too. i cringe and just keep moving haha and i know when i can grab some 6010 and run some down hill but for this, no way up hill 7018 all the way
I kept hearing the jaws soundtrack when you were using the torch
me too
It’s on a ball it will not crab walk
Good job young man
I think is time for a plasma cutter bro i like your videos !!
I agree
It’s a banana tip
You're going to love it when you get a plasma cutter! You still need the Oxy/Acetylene torch but man does a plasma make cutting this stuff easy.
excellent job. well done. wish I lived next door
thanks
Remember you can gamble with your eyes! You can only break even or lose, you can never come out ahead!!!!
your level making the gussets plumb is needed only if the trailer is level....if trailer is not on level ground, making the gussets plumb will be incorrect
You need a plasma cutter
I agree, hopefully soon
Hey 👋. I really want to be able to air arc gouge. I suppose I can on the Miller 225 G plus. I'm told that it is hell on the machines. It was said that if I was going to add it to my tools....I should have a dedicated machine. Or....rent the machine if you got a bunch to gouge. When it warms here shortly...say a couple of months. I think I'm going to buy what I need to gouge with my G plus. It's not like I will be gouging constantly. Sure would be nice though....to just remove the old welds. Awesome! Going back to the video. Happy welding!
Yea it is hell on machines, check out my last video I just posted I bought a gouging tip for my cutting torch. You can see how I used it. It certainly works for what I need it for and it can save you some money on getting arc gouging stuff. Thanks for watching I appreciate it
Great work on the trailer ball hitch!
! year old and golden! Love your work! (10 years offshore welding,20 years land)
appreciate it
What are your settings on the torch? You might want to get your oxygen up to 40👩🏭
yeah torch settings need to be tweaked a little
How much would you have charged? had it been for a customer.
If I was charging. $540 labor and $60 for metal and the coupler was $110. Depends where you are in the country I suppose
Nice man! Got it done
getting it going hhaha
Pretty bounci
Good work man and only way to go forward on the torch. I can tell you when I first torched it looked like that and after being a shipfitter welder for years it’s still a process haha
the right size tip would help too lol i was running tip very undersized
😮Correct size tip, clean at all times, proper pressure, steady hand and great equipment, that spells success!! Victor is the best, I see you have that covered! With practice you should be able to easily burn overlapping plates, make sure both plates are up to heat ! A good torch man can burn an old tailpipe out of a muffler by slicing only the inside piece without harming the muffler tube! That good torch man will be you!!
If you look hard enough ,even in pawnshops you can find an air arc torch ! Good luck!!!
Travel speed too fast.
i dont follow
@@mcfwelding Torch travel speed. I find myself picking up speed also.
@@donsmith9081 yea its something i need to work on
Do I have to buy you a pair of safety glasses👩🏭
if its free its for me
next time try pulling your cut instead of pushing that way the slag doesnt pop at you and fill your cut line
i started pulling and it works better for me
@@mcfwelding even with my gouging tip that way is the best. glad it helped. keep the vids coming! you can do the same with a cheap plasma cutter as well
looks real good
Flippy do da
Nice work
Thanks
Nice job.
Thanks!
What are your settings on the torch? You might want to get your oxygen up to 40
I was thinking the same. Not enough O2 pressure.
