I don't think this counts as a reference, but on the Polus Map from Among Us, all the Weather Node tasks are named after the multiple endings of Fleeing the Complex
24:11 Actually, the rocket has a reference in it, too. It fails by messing up the staging and having everything happen out of order, which is a reference to a common mistake in Kerbal Space Program.
@@Puki9117 Wave Dashing is a technique present in only a few smash games that has to do with advancing through the stage in a way that's quick and hard to read, with the character crouching a lot of the time, unlike dash dancing where you alternate directions back and forth in place to prepare to move/throw off the opponent.
32:46 While probably not an actual reference, this order of events is really similar to a scene in Uncharted 2, where your truck falls off a cliff, the bad guys look over and assume you died only for you to hang below. It also might be just an overused hollywood trope.
The “can you even shot web” could be a reference to “how do I shot web”- it’s a meme from a Something Awful subforum/ a quote from a half life mod letsplay, I think? I know it’s on TvTropes at least.

8:45 the screaming sound effect is taken from the famous "WOMBO COMBO" video. It is a 11 year old video of a smash bros championship, so I'm not surprised it's now know as "that gamery scream". Keep up the good work man!
50:45 I know I’m late to the party, but it’s a reference to the movie “The Green Mile.” The Mikey part comes from the actor who played the character being referred to, Michael Clarke Duncan, and the lil part of the name is a joke since the character is actually really big. The bio further backs this up as the bio is also the characters story in the movie, a man falsely accused of a crime since he was at the wrong place at the wrong time. Lil Mikey’s shoes are even green as another nod to it.
17:40 Once you steal the boots, that's ANOTHER Barefoot Stick man. 24:20 I thought the "messed up stages" was a Kerbal reference, since everyone tells me that's all you do in the game. :p 27:20 In another video where they were playing that I saw a post where the guy claimed to speak German and said that what the guy is saying was real German, but grammatically nonsense, and nothing like the subtitles. I don't speak German so I don't know how true that is. 27:30 "How do I shot web?" with shot instead of shoot is an old Spiderman meme. 50:50 Wasn't Lil' Mikey the guy who would eat LIFE Cereal?
27:14. To me it sounds like he's saying "Warum ist die Erde so klein?" which means "why is the earth so small?" It doesn't match up with the subtitles so he doesn't know what he's saying.
Actually, in German when pronouncing words you don't have silent letters, and since there is no e at the end of Erde in his sentence. I believe he is saying “Warum ist die Pferd so klein” which translates to why is the horse so small.
8:10 That’s actually a 720 noscope. He turns around twice. Edit: Apparently he also looks through the scope. I missed it because he stops after he fire, and it’s kind of hard to notice at full speed because he’s spinning. So, it’s not even a noscope. (Thanks Jack Harvey)
@@The_Ottoman_Lobster No, he’s looking through the scope the entire time he’s spinning. I don’t know why he’d do that, but I slowed it down and checked.
It's definitely dash dancing (A player constantly reversing direction while moving over a tiny area) as opposed to wave dashing. (A player dodging into the floor at an angle to give themselves a momentum boost) Generally wave dashing is used as an actual combat strategy to catch up with a flying opponent and continue a combo, whereas dash dancing is used either to prepare to jump out of the way of an attack or as a way of taunting your opponent.
The Shadozer actually has a second reference with the tagline "The unseen stick is the deadliest", a reference to Zedd from League of Legends. He's a ninja who has shadow powers, with one of his lines being "The unseen blade is the deadliest" Also, the sniper rifle that Charles is seen using when you choose the "Sniper" option is an AWP from Counter-Strike, and I believe in the original flash it even uses the same firing sound effect
More a reference to the cellphone item than the pda accessory (also did you know that you don't have to put anything for crafting the pda accessory or the pda to see the data you just have it In your inventory but not for the thing for the anck charm won't work if it is in your inventory)
24:26 The rocket is a clear reference to the Kerbal Space Programm game. It is a common mistakes beginners make staging a rocket but forgetting to stage the parachutes right opening them first leading to crashes Edit: 46:17 No? where did you got this information from? The german word for Joker is "Narr" or in rare cases "Knappe"
Reference for completing the mission: There is a character in the bios called "don miguel", this is a reference to an old game bundled in with pirated copies of rpgmaker 2000 based off of a real guy who imported it, the bio description expands on this by saying "his RPG character has a magic shop, or was it ship?"
At 8:48 the screaming is from the “Wombo Combo” Super smash brothers clip. This is referenced again later in the series when Henry and Ellie pull the “happy feet” combo against the right hand man.
A few more: Electricity + bomb = crazy explosion, could be referencing charged creepers In the flash vers. A the ultimate chrimrareia sound effect from Mother 3 plays at Under cover Agent. Halberd is the same name as Meta knight's airship (it's probly not I just wish their were more kirby references) The among us joke is further played bye him having a among us knife, and being apart of a "crew" Dan the man is Also taken by a mobile game. It's a pretty fun game!
I Agree with the First Reference, because in minecraft Creepers explode, but if they get hit by Lightning(Plasma) they get Charged and do a Bigger Explosion, and I'm disappointed he didn't mention it in the video.
At 11:32, the "side to side" spin is a reference to pivoting in smash bros. It works in both melee and ultimate. It's very common for professional players to use this move.
The rocket at the end of Ghost Inmate route was most likely a Kerbal Space Program reference. Edit= you also failed to notice how when you call Reginald Copperbottom. The toppat guy with double monocles (forgot his name) is minding his own business until he hears Henry's name. Which suddenly grabs his attention and makes him happy.
I thought the judo throw was a reference to battleblock theater, where the move is necessary to get through any level the animation and movement are also very similar
Two Left Thumbs I was the one who said that The Spear that Isaac has is a reference to the Ma'Tok staff from the sci-fi show Stargate SG-1 used mainly by the Jaffa warriors. I did that because off the effect of it between the 2 series were basically the same of being used as a Long distance energy blast to kill enemies is such a niche concept I made the connection between the two.
22:03 This Shadowzer also has a reference from League of Legends where Zed, one of the champions has the voice line : "The unseen blade is the deadliest"
11:29 It's called "Dash Dancing". Pro Smash players (especially on Melee) used it often as a Footsies to bait the opponent to whiff the attack. Melee Falcon players used it a lot, which is also the reason why it ended with the Knee.
I believe the rocket in the ghost inmate ending was a reference to kerbal space program, where people would commonly screw up the staging (just like the rocket there) plus it used the same components and color scheming as the basic rocketry components in KSP. Edit: corrected ending name
@@LSF17 No, it's KSP, that's the Mk.1 command pod & the beam holding it up is also a part part in KSP, but yeah I could see that being a possibility. 11:30 that’s called “dash dancing”, a technique commonly used in Smash Bros
I though it was called "Wave dash"
@@Puki9117 that’s a different technique
@@NatTBK They look very similar
@@Puki9117 Wave Dashing is a technique present in only a few smash games that has to do with advancing through the stage in a way that's quick and hard to read, with the character crouching a lot of the time, unlike dash dancing where you alternate directions back and forth in place to prepare to move/throw off the opponent.
Mercedes Gabriela Moreno Rodriguez wavedashing allows you to slide on the ground and is only in melee. Dsshdancing is just rapidly changing direction
11:29 You literally showed Sonic doing this in a clip of Smash Bros in the first Finding the References
My man is blind
Also it’s called dash dancing, just putting that out there
And the knee move from captain falcon
And the fact that ellie was grabbed is a reference to the original wombo combo video
The dashing is based on Melee Fox. He’s notorious for being overpowered, and he’s frequently shown dashing from side to side.
It’s wavedashing.
32:46 While probably not an actual reference, this order of events is really similar to a scene in Uncharted 2, where your truck falls off a cliff, the bad guys look over and assume you died only for you to hang below. It also might be just an overused hollywood trope.
11:33 that moment you are talking about is called a “Dash Dance” it’s kinda like a movement tech for competitive Smash

The repeating effect of a dude screaming is actually a Wombo Combo reference. It IS from a gaming video, kinda.
@JohngamerYT i was pointing out the screaming dude, not the dashdance, make it your OWN comment. not in here.
Lil Mikey’s shoes are even green as another nod to it.
pafp
17:40 Once you steal the boots, that's ANOTHER Barefoot Stick man.
24:20 I thought the "messed up stages" was a Kerbal reference, since everyone tells me that's all you do in the game. :p
27:20 In another video where they were playing that I saw a post where the guy claimed to speak German and said that what the guy is saying was real German, but grammatically nonsense, and nothing like the subtitles. I don't speak German so I don't know how true that is.
27:30 "How do I shot web?" with shot instead of shoot is an old Spiderman meme.
50:50 Wasn't Lil' Mikey the guy who would eat LIFE Cereal?
The german guy says "Warum ist die Welt so klein?" which means "Why is the world so small?". So the subtitles don't match the words.
Mikey likes it!
@@Sklace he then said Nein Wau which was subtitled as Hey Stop, but actually means No and wau is just like an exclamatory nonsense word

That’s neat
Thinks it's russia
Actually, in German when pronouncing words you don't have silent letters, and since there is no e at the end of Erde in his sentence. I believe he is saying “Warum ist die Pferd so klein” which translates to why is the horse so small.

8:10 That’s actually a 720 noscope. He turns around twice.
Edit: Apparently he also looks through the scope. I missed it because he stops after he fire, and it’s kind of hard to notice at full speed because he’s spinning. So, it’s not even a noscope. (Thanks Jack Harvey)
But he is looking through the scope

Its probably a quickscope. Quickscope means targeting the enemy, rapidly opening the scope and shooting right after the scope animation ends.
@@The_Ottoman_Lobster No, he’s looking through the scope the entire time he’s spinning. I don’t know why he’d do that, but I slowed it down and checked.
11:30 that wave dashing or dash dancing from smash bro’s, some can do that for intimidation, I think
Wave dashing is when you throw yourself into the ground to fly forward quickly. He did a Dash Dance and jumped
It's definitely dash dancing (A player constantly reversing direction while moving over a tiny area) as opposed to wave dashing. (A player dodging into the floor at an angle to give themselves a momentum boost) Generally wave dashing is used as an actual combat strategy to catch up with a flying opponent and continue a combo, whereas dash dancing is used either to prepare to jump out of the way of an attack or as a way of taunting your opponent.
the fact that Charles ditched an important mission in the IRO ending to help his friend shows Charles is a great person. RIP Charles, as of VH ending
The Shadozer actually has a second reference with the tagline "The unseen stick is the deadliest", a reference to Zedd from League of Legends. He's a ninja who has shadow powers, with one of his lines being "The unseen blade is the deadliest"
Also, the sniper rifle that Charles is seen using when you choose the "Sniper" option is an AWP from Counter-Strike, and I believe in the original flash it even uses the same firing sound effect
Quick side note: The PDA from the pickpocket scene is a reference from Terraria.
And subnautica

24:26 The rocket is a clear reference to the Kerbal Space Programm game. It is a common mistakes beginners make staging a rocket but forgetting to stage the parachutes right opening them first leading to crashes
Edit: 46:17 No? where did you got this information from? The german word for Joker is "Narr" or in rare cases "Knappe"

The Rocket is a slight reference to Kerbal Space Program, specifically how people commonly mix up the staging process.
Yes, thank you so much for noticing. I almost cried when he skipped it.

Reference for completing the mission: There is a character in the bios called "don miguel", this is a reference to an old game bundled in with pirated copies of rpgmaker 2000 based off of a real guy who imported it, the bio description expands on this by saying "his RPG character has a magic shop, or was it ship?"

One more.
EtC: “If he goes down, he’s taking you with him!”
Andross (Star Fox 64): “If I go down, I’m taking you with me!”
At 11:32, the "side to side" spin is a reference to pivoting in smash bros. It works in both melee and ultimate. It's very common for professional players to use this move.
The rocket at the end of Ghost Inmate route was most likely a Kerbal Space Program reference.

I believe the rocket in the ghost inmate ending was a reference to kerbal space program, where people would commonly screw up the staging (just like the rocket there) plus it used the same components and color scheming as the basic rocketry components in KSP.
