New Control Arm with Ball Joint from 1AAuto.com 1aau.to/ib/1ASLF00225
This video shows you how to install a lower control arm on your 2002-2005 Ford Explorer. Control arms are a crucial part of the suspension system of your vehicle. They not only carry the load of the vehicle to the wheel, but they typically also maintain its alignment. Control arms are typically large and strong, so you may be surprised it needs replacing. They contain rubber bushings for smoother rides at the cost of eventual wear, or integrated ball joints that require replacing the entire arm when they wear.
This process should be similar on the following vehicles:
    2002 Ford Explorer
    2003 Ford Explorer
    2004 Ford Explorer
    2005 Ford Explorer
    Tools you will need:

It's a straightforward r n r job, but many shade tree mechanics and mechanics shops leave out, or omit seemingly unimportant steps but you cover them all like the true Professional Mechanic that you are. Thank you for sharing your time and expertise Sir. I really enjoyed watching your awesome video. It brought me back to my wrench turning days of old. Lol. Please take care, and stay safe Brother, and keep those awesome videos coming. I hope that others can benefit from learning the right way to perform these repairs safely, and properly.

Good video and explanation detail. This is a big job! Not sure I could do it unless I had a whole weekend to devote to it.

I'm starting to understand why people pay mechanics to replace control arms lol. I'll have to wait until there's more daylight in the day since currently it gets pretty dark by 4:30pm EST to even attempt this.

I have a squeal in the front of my explorer, I recently changed the links and the upper control arm..I wanted to know if the squeal is due to the lower control arm bushings or the shock absorbers and if the lower control arm bushings can be replaced instead of changing the entire assembly.....by the way, thanks to your video I was able to change the upper control arm

+@Jaydizzle355 This procedure might be different for your application. We do not currently have a how-to video for this particular year, make and model. Thank you for asking! 1aau.to/m/Shop-TRQ
