Another tip, when curing your nails, you should move the bottle of polish away from the lamp as it can accidentally cure the polish in the bottle as well
I thought i was doing something wrong with this nail gel polish brand because of the stickyness but i see now that its just normal... thank you very much❤
Hello! Just wondering if I missed the step of wiping off the sticky residue, will it be the cause of those little bubbles on my fingers around the nails
Hey Sherry, If you don’t wipe the residue it will just stay sticky feeling. If you have little bubbles you need to remove them before curing under the lamp otherwise you may notice them after
hi sarah your video too good vs another i just want to know when i apply my nai color is chipped so soon means one two days my prep is good every step is just like you every time its chipped off or some time its crinkled😐
Crinkling and chipping are both signs of a thick application. All layers need to be very thin for the light to cure them thoroughly. When you wipe away the tacky layer from your top coat, make sure to use a rubbing alcohol of 90% or higher for a proper, solid finish.
Hey Rickita, I had this at first too. Need to focus more on prepping the nail in most cases, especially making sure there is not cuticle on the sides to avoid peels
Good tutorial! However at 7:10 time marker on the video...I thought for sure you were going to knock over your gel polish. I wanted to reach in the video so badly and take care of that for you. Haha!
Hi Sarah, I'm about to do mine for the first time. I love how you did yours. I can't believe out of 829 views I'm the first to comment! wow, I don't think I have any videos with so many views. I subscribed sweetie.
@@SarahW the only think is I do not want to use the colored lacquer. I finished doing them in clear yesterday. After watching a few videos I think I remember asking if I could use regular lacquer and was told I could as long as I used the gel top coat. We will see on that. In the meantime I did learn one lesson, I need to put on THIN coats. In some places it came out bumpy.
@@SarahW Well, I already did my nails but I didn't put the nail lacquer on. I just put the gel top coat. I was afraid that I would do something wrong. lol. So maybe I will put that lacquer on next week. By that time my nails will have grown out a bit. I suppose I should really put it on over the foundation and not the top coat.
The desk lap is just a cheap rechargeable 1.5 W LED from Miniso, I couldn’t find it for purchase on amazon. But there are many similar. I think this one is the same though www.ebuy7.com/item/miniso-名创优品-upscale-home-reading-table-lamp-round-folding-lamp-587036170319
Get a buffer or nail file and buff off the shine of the polish. Soak a cotton ball or lint free wipe in acetone and wrap a piece of foil over your nail. Let soak for a few minutes and then use a wooden stick to remove the polish.
I don’t like to polish my nails before . Is it a problem? Cause I don’t like it . I mean , nothing happened if you don’t polish it before to add the gelish. I think.
You mean to file before? Ya some people do not. I find for me to have a more buff surface reduces peeling. If you already have porous or thin nails you could skip, just ensure you do the foundation step
Good video however I do have questions. If you cure nail by nail isn’t that exposing your skin more than necessary to that light which can cause skin cancer? Why don’t you wear gloves to protect your hands from the light?
Thanks for the tutorial, but the music is so distracting that it makes the video very difficult to watch. Ambient music is nice, but this has an abrasive quality, just saying.
When doing gel or enhancements on your nails, you are supposed to do them as a dry manicure. Soaking your nails in water makes the product not adhere to the nails.
You have to use a new one so you don't get any transfer into the skin. If you don't remove it properly with a clean pad for each nail then small amounts of chemical gets onto skin and over time leads to nail product allergy. Then you can't use ANY gel polishes or glues anymore if you need surgery later you can be allergic to those glues as well. All because you were to stingy to use a fresh wipe on each nail 🥴
Pushing back cuticles is not a wrong method, the cuticle is not living, it is basically the glue that seals your living tissue to your nail plate to prevent bacteria from entering. Removing excess cuticle is how the gel polish adheres to the nail, and keeps the nail plate in good condition. The nail plate must be clean of all cuticle residue to prevent lifting and bacteria. REMOVING the Hyponychium, the living skin past the cuticle, is entirely different and very harmful to the client.
Another tip, when curing your nails, you should move the bottle of polish away from the lamp as it can accidentally cure the polish in the bottle as well
True! I’m always scared of doing that
@@SarahW I get it lol
I feel like there is so much to learn concerning the Greek polish system. I like how this manicure turned out. Thanks
I appreciate your video. It's been a while since I've done this and needed a refresher. I enjoyed your personality, too. Thanks so much!
Great video. I have the Gelish lamp and it is set at 45 seconds.
Thanks for the video. I am doing my first customer on Saturday.
I thought i was doing something wrong with this nail gel polish brand because of the stickyness but i see now that its just normal... thank you very much❤
There is a blue liquid that you use and it wipes away the stickiness
Great tutorial. I'm ready to try this. Thanks!
Thanks. Just did my first one! Turned out great!
Trying mine for the first time after watching this video. Wish me luck!
Did it work?

How you cleand the sticky residue of the foundation? I mean, what should you use?
@@MoniMC. just use some alcohol on a lint free cloth
Love the hand modeling. 💅🏽🥰

Hello. ! I did it. I wish I could send you a picture oh well. Have a great 4th of July
Can you use any brand of gel nail color or it has to he gelish brand!?
you are very good at explaining, thank you very much for your video
Lol it's the documentary where the old people ate cactuses and got very sick. I'm glad they got rescued.
Great video! Do you ever do two coats of color?
Yes I do!
do you LED after the bond?? do you LED after every coat??
No need after the ph bond, every other coat yes
How to add length before gel polish? Do U HAVE a video.
Great video! Short and precise! What are you using as your manicure table mat?
Thank you!
I just have the towel over a plastic tea tray. Not too fancy but works just fine ☺️
Hi! How long does it usually last?
2 weeks
Did the same steps with the same products and my nails are sticky :(
After curing your top coat you have to wipe off the tacky layer with rubbing alcohol.
Hi new friend here from California stay connected ❤️❤️
Where did you bought your desk lamp? I see is perfect to do nails.
Miniso! It is perfect

Your voice is soooooothing...
Aw thanks 😊 Maybe I should switch to ASMR haha
Thanks for the video. Where did you buy the light (not lamp) you're using?
I got it at Miniso 😊
Yes that is my question as well, can you add a link? How much it cost?

What happen if you put the ph bonder on your cuticles??
what is the number of your pink shade?
What should I do if my polish chips and peels a lot? This happens at the salon also.

Now that I watch again it does look so close to the edge! Maybe the lens angle, usually don't live life that dangerously 😂
Haha I thought that too 😬

Max It Up with Marta you can! But it doesn’t last quite as long. I’ve done a few time though and it still looks quite pretty

Just warm water 😊
Thank you for the step-by-step! Looking for tips to do my nails at home soon! Do you not use top coat? I didn't notice that step in your video?
Yes! Always top coat. I put it at the 8:00 mark 😊
Sarah W hi do use regular alcohol ? Like The the type u use for injuries?
Araceli Navarrete Yes I just use the drug store type, works well
Sarah W thank you so much 😊
Araceli Navarrete no problem. Happy painting
Beautiful!!!👍
Does the brand of nail polish matter?
What is the price of athos full set including uv

Can you help me buy this product??? About gelish brand please
Hey Yuri, I bought everything off Amazon. I put the links in the description. Hope that helps 😊
What’s the name of the color?
Hey Lawryl, it is LeChat Nobility, Pocket Posies
amzn.to/2I8UmIx
Is the gelish foundation thick?
Amanda Vilenio yes but you only need a thin layer. Lots of time to spread it out since it won’t cure until under the lamp
How do you take off the polish after?
Get a buffer or nail file and buff off the shine of the polish. Soak a cotton ball or lint free wipe in acetone and wrap a piece of foil over your nail. Let soak for a few minutes and then use a wooden stick to remove the polish.
how to order gel polish

What else can I use instead of alcohol ?
I’m not sure. Any type of alcohol from drugstore has worked for me though
Must be rubbing alcohol 90% or higher for a proper finish.
how long it last?
All depends on technique, usually I re do it in the third or fourth week 😊
What color is the polish nail
Good video however I do have questions. If you cure nail by nail isn’t that exposing your skin more than necessary to that light which can cause skin cancer? Why don’t you wear gloves to protect your hands from the light?
You can use LED or UV I believe 😊
Have never seen anyone wearing gloves to the nail salon, to each their own though
She's using an LED light... but if using UV, you actually get more UV exposure walking from your car to the salon than you would during a manicure.
The set is cheaper than that on Amazon. I just bought
one
Alcohol % ?
Hey Maria, I usually just buy the 80-90% drugstore type. Works great 😊
90% or higher
Sorry, but you are hard to hear. The music is much to loud and you need to talk louder.
I will work on that thanks 😊
Agree. Music is not needed at all. Let’s just listen to your instructions.
MistyGray41 I made a new one, and the audio is MUCH better. Check it out if you have time 😊

Drying them and using the dehydrator accomplishes the same in my experience, everyone has their own preference though
This is so true you should soak
Shouldn’t
@@hannahjones7474 you do you. For me, it’s just the best way to get ride of my stubborn cuticles otherwise I get lifting

Why do you talk like that.
A little way too long video
Pushing back you cuticles is just painful to watch. very wrong method.
