One thing that drives me absolutely crazy is that Kent acts like scientific research is the same as politics and religion. Scientists largely don't mind their research being questioned because it gives the writer feedback, allowing them to correct or clarify inaccurate or vague sections. The peer review process is absolutely not what Kent is describing here. It's more like submitting a book for publishing and an editor needs to look it over before they print it.
He can't even comprehend people not being offended by their work being questioned.
I've started to see recently so many people like him and right wingers in general think athiests, or more liberal Christians (and other religions) think like they do. They think someone is "triggered or mad" about something because THEY'D be triggered or mad. They think everyone HATES Christians because they HATE all non Christians or Christians who don't think like them

This ruined the TV-show Loki for me. In the first or second episode it was mentioned that the peeps making the rules knew a lot and didn't need to be checked and could be trusted on their word.

Hovind is a literalist only when it’s convenient to him or his bottom line. He is a KJV only-ist though, which means, even if he read the Bible everyday cover to cover every day, he still wouldn’t have that good of a grasp on what the text is actually saying. For example, he has stated that he doesn’t know who Yahweh is and that there is only one God, implying that it isn’t Yahweh. I’m going to assume that Kent is mistaken in thinking that the KJV rendering of YHWH as Jehovah is God’s actual name.

Kent conflates modern peer reviewed science with atheism. Most scientists aren’t atheists and the modern peer reviewed scientific method works because it isn’t based on anything supernatural. I’m also willing to bet that when Kent goes to the doctor he wants the doctor to have a peer reviewed degree (whatever that means).
Most scientists are atheists, though.
And even the supporters of these scientists aren't even atheist as well.

About a month ago, a 2 hours long documentary on Kent Hovind came out, it was made by: "McKinnon Mitchell ○ Raven House Studio" and is named: "The Weakness of Kent Hovind"
If you think Kent is a good man, I invite you to go watch it, it will change your mind, regardless of the fact the documentary used testimony of people that are positive toward Hovind. If you dislike him, I invite you to go watch as well, it won't change your opinion, might make you hate him more.

Here, let me clarify... Moustache man was a creationist, specifically a Catholic and took on many of hovind's same ideas. Stalin was a Russian Orthodox who had someone tell him that crops can be taught to grow in cold environments by growing them in areas they're bad at growing in, and also grown too close together to survive or have nutrients in the soil to keep surviving. Communication China and Korea adopted the same thoughts and starved their people with him

So when people ask me what science is or does I tell them it's the ultimate form of a thought experiment. To dumb it down you think of an idea, talk about it, test it, and talk about it even more rince and repeat until a definite answer comes to light

No. I assumed they weren't a religious country simply because the Kim family wants no one or nothing above them. THEY want to be worshipped. It's the same with all the athiest Communist leaders who've murdered people (and even many non atheist leaders who've killed many people) it wasn't done in the name of Athiesim it was done to gain and/or keep power and control. Religion may have been a threat to their power so it was forbidden but it was ALL about power and control. Look at Russia right now, they have a large Orthodox population and other religions too. I don't know Putin's personal religious beliefs, but Russia is killing and murdering people right now for POWER.

I will never understand how he can say "It was wrong before so it must be wrong now" as if he hasn't done anything wrong in life. Everyone gets things wrong all through their lives, that's how we learn new things and adapt. Hovind very clearly left behind the idea of learning from mistakes.

Ken outplayed himself. He uses his zero knowledge in science to mock a strawman. Peer review is not just peers agreeing with the conclusion of a research. It's peers checking a scientific research to verify the methods used , the way it was conducted, is it repeatable etc.
