    Bought it with reds, but the seller sent me one with browns. Fantastic keyboard, but I got pretty used to linears for the past year and now the tactiles just feel kind of scratchy and hard to press. I'm trying to return it so I can get it with linears, but even if I cant I'm planning to keep it

    I went with the tactile over the linear because I also type but don’t like the noise of the clicks. Best keyboard I have typed on and makes my setup look really clean. I also like that they now have a tkl version now for anyone interested. Yes these are expensive but boy do they feel good.

      @@IBKade How is your typing with the linear? I'm facing the same dilemma as Dianne right above. :) Any double typing when you move fast or things like that? Did you have to switch your typing style to compensate for the absence of the "slight" bump the Tactile switches offer? Great review btw!

    Is there stability between the leg and the button .. Because some reviews and the Hardware Canucks channel said the N button has broken .. ??
    I like the G915 keyboard because it is wireless and elegant .. I will choose the linear version

      @@IBKade something modern that's a similar feel. I just ordered a g915 linear based on your vid. We'll see if I like it. I currently have two keyboards side by side hopefully this blends their functionality so I can reduce my keyboard footprint on my desk.

    For heavy typing or work purposes, are you happy and comfortable with the linear switch? A lot of people say that clicky and tactile are best for typing. I like the most silent keyboard though for G915, I’m confused whether or not I should get linear or stick to tactile.

      Hi all. I had the clicky version and it was slightly better at typing on than the tactile I have now. I sent the clicky back it was just to loud to be honest. The tactile feels very good to and I like the thud sound when typing. the thing is the tactile can be as quiet or loud as you want it as it all depends on how hard you hit the keys.
      The clicky did not matter how hard or soft it was just clicky.
      I now sent that back for the tkl version tactile as I waited ages for that version which never came until now. Lucky I had the g915 for only two weeks as I never use the num pad. The k740 when I bought it was built with quality components and was expensive but now I herd there just made cheaply.

      Same here. Im currently using the K740 and been using it since 2008 and i love the way how the keys feedback. Buttery soft, quiet, and you don’t have to put too much effort pressing the keys. How does the G915 Linear feel and the quietness compare to the K740 when typing?

    Heya, Im one of those K740 lovers. Ive been using that keyboard since it came out for coding, typing and gaming and haven't been able to switch to anything yet. I ordered some mechanical keyboards but they just cant match my k740. Still im looking for something that is more durable and a bit less mushy that still compares otherwise. Would you say you now prefer this to the K740 and if so why? Thanks for your review!

      Welcome to the club! Yes I use this keyboard for work as I type a lot there. And did you know the soft cushion actually protects your fingers?
      As for home I do have the Logitech g915 but still it doesn't compare to the k740 but it's a bit speedy for games. So yes I always come back to the k740. It'd the best

    i have that same keyboard you have...the "k740?" I love it to type on as well but I want something tenkeyless, which the G915 also has a version of. I love how quiet the keys are on my current keyboard so wish they had something similar without the keypad for mouse ergonomics. So I am looking at this one and the Hexgear X-1.

    • @IBKade
      @IBKade  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there! So I have yet to find anything in the market that can be similar to K740. One thing however that the G915 mimics is the low profile that is a bit similar but the feeling of typing on it is so much different than the K740. I will say the G915 has its own charm however as far as mechanical keyboards go. I got the cherry red linear switch which makes typing on this keyboard smooth and fun. This keyboard isn't that quiet btw. It is about as loud as any mechanical keyboard. And I actually use the ten keys for work so I couldn't get that Hexgear X-1 but that one does look sweet but not sure how much i'll like those mini tenkeyless on the picture. As for G915, I think if you get the clicky blues, you'll like it a lot as far as how it feels to type. Ergonomics is great on the G915 since its low btw, so great for your wrist too. Let me know what you do!

      @@IBKade Thanks much for the reply. I actually just ordered the G915 red linear version this morning. I almost went with the Hexgear but read some complaints of input lag. Usually can't go wrong with Logitech.

    Hey man, I am coding from home as well and I really want to upgrade to a different keyboard (using a cheap ass membrane keyboard). The only thing that I am worried about is that even the linear switches would be too loud for an office environment. I really like this keyboard and that issue is the only thing holding me back from buying it.... Would u recommend this on a floor with lots of people ?

    Is it just me or did they fail with G-hub with this keyboard? I have the TKL version and gshift only works on f and macro keys. I would love to have seen layers especially on the tkl version and allow re-mapping of any key not just the function keys.

    • @IBKade
      @IBKade  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are few things they could do better for sure. I've been using this for a few months now and I have some thoughts about it. I do think they're improving g-hub but you're right, it would be so cool if they could re-map any key!

    • @Oliver1071
      @Oliver1071 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I do love the keyboard feels really good. I'm just used to layers for a numpad on a tkl keyboard. The full size it doesn't really matter. It's a shame the mouse seems less restrictive in ghub.
