Hv to share with u how my girlfriend and I used to always come home with winnings in the 90s at Atlantic City.
We loved to shop. So we wld go from store to store and find something we wanted to buy.
Then go on the craps table to win that amount of money to buy the article.
This way, we came home with winnings. A new outfit or outfits.
But only craps table.
Was a win for us!😊

Love the idea of Q&A Fridays! Always great information. My first change the next time I go to a casino: don’t put in a $100 bill. I’m going to break it into $20s. I have a feeling it will be easier to double $20 than $100. Oh, yeah, I have a lockbox too😀

There is a bunch of different reasons why someone gambles. AND there are many different ways to budget. My budget method is - SET AMOUNT TO PLAY - IF I lose I lose, done, go home - if I win 3X my starting budget DONE, GO HOME, TAKE THE WIN. Yes, I am doing a lot of game selecting with the goal of playing my budget longer thanks to your information and Cowboy Slots. Thanks for educating the peeps.
I just watched this episode and have the mentality that you, Dave, and Brantley have made me realize. Gamble what you can afford to lose, have a low and high stop point, and play as long as you are having fun. My brother went to Vegas so I gave him $200 to play a specific game. I told him play it all, or stop once the money was doubled because it was a higher volatility game (according to all of you). I gave him the denom/bet to play. He called me while he was playing and told me I hit the bonus after playing $75 of my money. He finished the bonus, and I told him to do a backup spin (nothing) and pulled out my money. He ended up tripling my money and brought it home to me. I would have been ok if he had lost my money...thats why it's called gambling.
No sucker here! Thanks Marc for your advice! I've won enough to seed my future gambling and pay for soooo many things, new appliances, Coding camp for the kids, vacations etc ... I'm a low ball player, who goes in with $200-$400 max. While I've lost money, I walk away most times with my winnings to be put back into the seed money or bank for future use. I don't stay after I've won or lost a certain amount. They want my money and I want theirs, while having great fun!
Great Q&A, Mark. For those out there who love to complain about never winning, all I can add is that you're making poor choices in your game selection. How many times has Gamble Smart and Cowboy Slots said, "Stay away from penny machines", because they'll eat through your bankroll? If you're in a casino merely to be entertained, by all means play penny slots, but don't turn around and complain that you lost all your money😢. Pay attention 🤔 to what these guys are saying, and "Gamble Smart!"
Been watching Marc since he was on Cowboy Slots, great info and I've been using my free play to earn winnings for a casino day. I will play very low volatile games. Each time get my bet back or a win I cash out and only use the free play for the session. Yes, it's only for a few minutes but I've gotten some good wins. I will then use my earnings for a day at the casino to earn comps and more free play. As Marc and team always says "you win more than you think!" I've always use to play free play then all my winnings go down to $0. Now I'm actually ahead this year! Thanks for all the advice it is definitely working!

Just now started watching. I'll tell you right off the bat I like the idea of answering questions on Fridays.
I like Friday comments and questions. I also appreciate that the average gambler playing lower bets can relate to what you show. The $25, $100 betting may be a way to get an audience but isn't realistic. I've learned a lot from your channel, thank you.
I told my husband about the optics of machines, and he was spectacle until we both set down a machines with pots. I sat at one tht was empty and he sat at one that was full. When we hot up I had opened mine twice and he never got his to open. He believes me or actually you now. Thanks for all your knowledge.
Depending on the game you may have been able to show your husband where it says this in the game rules. But I think you proved your point just nicely!

proof that tribal casinos ARE regulated is my home casino tampa hardrock has their gaming commision office right in the middle of the casino! i never knew that until a few years ago as i was walking to the cashier area, i saw these 2 doors and on the outside of the doors in black letters, it read "Gaming Comission"! so maybe in other casinos the gaming commision could be inside the casino that they are at!

I’m was a bartender at a local bar in Vegas. We had 3 different $1 video poker machines. (This was before multi game). The progressive started at $4,000 and climbed its way up over $10,000 so everyone was playing the progressives for months!! They mostly played the one in the middle that gave the most four of a kinds and gave more play. Whereas the one in the corner sucked and gave very little play. One of those machines that sucks your money and kicks you out the door.
Anyway, when it finally hit, it was the tightest machine of the three that hit the royal. The guy playing it was a tourist who didn’t know what machines played better and he just happened to pick that one vs the regular customers stayed off that one because it was so tight.
I said all that to say that that the viewer who claims that he watched the machines that get a lot of money dumped into them “because they hit after that” and then he plays them is foolishness. ANY machine can hit at any time, money dumped in or not!!
It’s hard to convince people of things like this. But I believe what you say is true. As far as getting big wins… it’s all just dumb luck. I’ve been very lucky at times. And it sure is fun when it happens.

Great video! I went a whole year without winning a jackpot and took several months off. In the last year and five months I’ve won about 30 jackpots and a $5k scratcher. I’m still not ahead but I enjoy gambling and the casino restaurants which are some of the best in San Diego County.
I was at a casino and moved over one machine. Someone sat down and hit a jackpot on first bet. I cashed out my ticket and didn’t go back for a few years even though I knew that it was random. I’ve also had this happen in reverse.

When I walk in a casino to play slots, I'm not there expecting to get rich. It's the unexpected win that's fun. You just never know. Attitude is everything.

Marc, one example for me about doing somrthing about your winnings or handpays was when i won my biggest handpay of $1800.00 on a slot machine. the first thing i thought of was paying off my 2018 nissan rogue car and i was 2 years into paying it at$300.00 a month. so not only did i pay my car off 4 months early, i had around $5000.00 left of it. just make sure when you win a big handpay, you ask for a check and that forces you to not use any of the winnings!

I think the machines have winning cycles. In the state where I am the gambling laws are different than in NV. We have a lottery system not individual winning machines. If I don’t get anything right away, I move on. I really like your channel. Thanks.

One thing that casinos should do more often, especially the tribal ones, is to provide a link to their gaming commission or regulator somewhere on their website. All regulated online casinos have the seal or logo of their regulator, usually at the bottom of their homepage, so why don't brick-and-mortar casinos do this? 🤔

On the note of Keno: Its important to talk about the difference between "Slot machine Keno" and the in person "ball spinning" keno. Slot keno has a payback percentage equal to normal slots where as Live keno is the worst odds game in the world

We seem to be able to bring about half of our bankroll back each visit as long as we are playing within our budget. Had some nice run-ups and a few hand pays and double and triple up trips.For us, bringing something back is a win.The game changer for us was buying the Gamble Boxes. I can't stress that enough. I wish we would have bought them sooner.I think I really got it into my mind with Brantley and Marc and Dave.Both channels. I also don't feel like I have to sit at one machine for a long time expecting it to pay.The thing that really gets on my last nerve is people always complaining that they never win, that the casino cheats, that the casinos set the machines to not pay to pay for the new casinos and you are an idiot if you don't think they cheat.Well, if they cheat then why did I bring back $1100.00?Because they don't cheat and I put money into my gamble box.Great advice Marc!

Hi Marc. Thanks for good content here. In case you need an idea for the next video, I would suggest a topic of psychological effect from watching slot videos on TH-cam. During Covid time a lot of people including myself couldn't go to actual casinos and started watching more of slot videos more regularly. Next thing I know when I went back to casinos, I started betting higher than my usual range and were comfortable playing games I had noy played before but seen them through videos. I found myself many times trying to match the experiences that I had from videos to my actual plays. And you know that meant upping the bets and taking unnecessary risks. This is a different kind of addiction I think. It's not about the money anymore. Some people tried to explain it scientifically that we are addicted to Dopamine and we could get high through watching slot videos. 😅

I love your comment and question day idea. Great information for all of us. I know you earn comps for play but why is the players club so secretive about how much comp you have earned? Don't they know the more reason we have to go in the more chance they have to win our money?
Because I find the psychology of gambling fascinating, I've done a lot of research into everything casino. Including how compulsive gamblers are made. I want to be sure I don't go down any of those roads. I understand the chemical reaction that occurs when we win and how addiction forms for many people. I understand the predatory nature of casinos and how they are out to get me. Yet I enjoy the atmosphere and the people watching.
You said it Marc. You have to PAY ATTENTION. People get a good hit or bonus and just keep spinning down to zero. Then they complain they never win. Yeah I'm talking to you Sucker. I bet you're fun at parties. Cash out the wins, redeem the voucher, put the win in your pocket and start over. And have reasonable expectations.
This last paragraph is exactly what I did. If I won around $80 or more after putting in a $20, then I cash out and either put in another $20 from my bankroll or move on to look for another game to play.
After two days, I went home having only lost $200 of my $1600 bankroll.
I enjoy slots for the fun and enjoyment knowing I probably could lose a lot. But I, too, don’t want to become an addicted gambler. That’s why two days is the perfect staycation for me and my husband.

I’ve been gambling for 10years I do believe the machine pay randomly not what you feed in. It has time to pay and time to take because I seen people win over and over the same machine hit back to jackpots
Its May. I go about 3 times a week. Ive hot over 40 jackpots since the start of January 1. My max bet is just 5 dollars. Its crazy people say theyve never hit a JP. Dudes probrably playing a 20 line game at 1 cent a line while only having 1 line active. People love lying its amazing. And the guy who said he have the screenshots. Prove it, i net you bet like 50 dollars a hit too. Pft.
The lack of transparency by tribal gaming is one reason I don't go. Because Nevada casinos have to report earnings as corporations on top of being in compliance with the NGCB makes things different. Do all other states require them to be audited and are their rules as strict?

Hey Marc you know I love your videos and advice you guys give along with cowboy too. But this episode him home and it is kinda funny because a year ago I believed all that negative stuff everyone was saying too. Then one day was searching for double black tie slot machine videos to watch as my favorite slot or use to be in dollar version which I have asked but never heard back if it's a low, med or high volatility slot machine?? Anyway like I said I believed all that stuff too until I came across a video of you and cowboy talking about slots and answering questions which of course led me to watch more of your calls videos and even asked few questions about low volatility slots to play you or cowboy at the time led me to double diamond and triple stars. I have played them both several times now lost several times but also won several times too and got my first ever handpay for $1700 on triple stars. Came home that weekend wrote you guys told you all about it you wrote back congrulated me and week later went back put it all back into the slot wrote you guys on that as I felt like huge idiot for doing so. Which you guys then steered me to budget videos, manageing money set limits and taking breaks videos so of course I was like a sponge and still am even now watched hours and hours or hundreds of hours videos learning all I could on what to do how to do and slots ect.. So I wouldn't make the same mistake twice. Now granted I am not perfect still making mistakes or over spending sometimes but maybe now couple hundred was my worst now that have done past my budget. But more and more I am walking out with a hundred or two profit walking away with instead of putting it back into machine or spending it and going to atm. Because you, Dave and Cowboy I am way way better and getting better and smarter every day. I learning to quit or walk away or setting a high cutoff and low cutoff plus learned to leave my bank card at home or in my truck because I know if I walk to my truck I won't go back in. But it's because you guys I am a better gambler funny on poker table complete opposite can walk away any time up or down learned that long time ago and still do that. But I had to learn and drill it in my head it's not the next spin or two or next hundred dollars. And your video of printing tickets anyone who has doubts one time whatever they plan to gamble 100 dollars or 500 dollars take it all in 10s or 20s one time and like you said if win more than denim your betting print ticket I guarantee you will see one you win more than you think and two you will walk away more money 9 out of 10 times than you brought doing so. If people instead of arguing with you guys or fighting or trying so hard to prove you three wrong would just take the time start over watch the videos start from the basics say low budget 100 dollars find the low volatility slot put 10 or 20 dollars in at a time print the tickets they will see it works then they also watch how to double money or stopping point and try another slot to build bank roll and if like me people buy the gambler box put the money in it so you won't spend it as it helps but we all have to listen and reprogram our brains of what we heard, thought, think or whatever and learn the right way all over again and stop chasing thinking that next spin is the big one! Yeah it may be lord knows I hate it when I get off the slot go to one beside it someone comes and bam runs it up to 3,4,500 and didn't give me crap or took my money. But sad thing is wasn't my time or right timing of hitting the spin button or whatever just wasn't my day but that's OK because had I kept playing it then I would of lost more because it just wasn't my time and the next spin theory is going to make you crazy or mad or over spend or many many other terrible things. So just keep that in mind if you don't want to stop or get off machine as we all know it can go from bad to worse and even really worse. Because I use to believe they were rigged or controlled by players card or could flip a switch to make it pay or not in control center ect ect all the theories I believed seriously at one time or another. Thanks for the video. I have a question; you always say slots are heavily regulated and there always has to be multiple people in the process of changing the RTP, but in my local casinos I don't see any of that, I've observed a slot tech setting up a machine and the whole time it was just that one person setting it up, I even saw him selecting the payback percentage (picked a really low one...), and once he closed the door and left the machine was in service. In my case how can I know they don't rig the payback percentages?
If you listen to the advice these guys give you will walk away satisfied more often than not. Find the right casino, play the games you enjoy and understand, and have a plan for your bank roll, what you’ll do if you win, and a cap of what you can afford to lose.

There's a widespread rumor that my local native American casino violates some state or federal laws with they way they set their machines but it's cheaper to just pay the fine every X time period. Question: In the slots with a "wheel spin" bonus- Are the winnings random or are they pre-determined (like the coin picks in Drums)? P.S.- Love watching your vids! People need to remember this is "GAMBLING"! Slots are 'entertainment' like a video game from the 80s, except you may get prizes!
The RNG is picking what the wheel ultimately lands on but the RNG in a pick bonus is also determining what the bonus outcome will be similarly. I don't know if you consider that predetermined or not. What makes knowing a pick bonus is predetermined useful is you can rule out your action of picking didn't change the outcome. It also explains why the mini is picked so often even though it appears more people should be picking the other options more often. Since wheel bonuses don't typically involve the player actually spinning the wheel there really is no reason to understand if/how your "spinning action" helped determine the outcome. All outcomes on slots are determined before you actually see the results. One exception is pick bonuses that are not predetermined. Which is another reason it's somewhat useful to know when a pick bonus is predetermined or not. But frankly it really doesn't matter. It's still all random with known probabilities. It doesn't matter if the RNG is doing the picking or you.
One of our tribal casinos actually posts the RTP on the wall. Just over 91% and the only place I have won a grand jackpot.

Banks of four machines and it seems that only 1 of those machines pays jackpots. Every visit I only see wins on the same machines.

Have to laugh because it's so true about high volatility games. I hit a high volatility game on my second spin Monday in Vegas. Was playing $4.40 a spin and the jackpot paid....$22. Now imagine that was your 50th spin or 100th spin. And it happens all the time. In order to have the 200, 300, 400x wins people like to get you need even more "dead" spins or "bad" bonuses (over the life of the machine obviously you could theoretically hit 5 in a row). I would love to see the stats on the average "jackpot" or "bonus" round for each bet amount. I think people would be surprised at how low they are relative to the amount risked. Bottom line slots are a losing proposition, like most forms of gambling, that should only be played for entertainment.

Can't be weighted like that, it's truly random. If the payback % is lowered or increased, you would notice it in the values you are awarded based on number of balls matched.
There are so many rumors and assumptions about regulating the casinos. Even with the casinos following the guidelines it's still hugely in the favor of the casinos. There is no need for them to do anything underhanded. Why do you think they call slot machines one arm bandits?
I don’t get someone has never hit especially in 30 years. I’m one that has walked in and it within 5 minutes at the WinStar and a at couple in Shreveport Louisiana. And I’m not a fool, I never play jackpots back, instead I treat myself. I have hit like $400 and played that back but not often. You have to be honest about when you lose as well.

Casinos, but what about cruise lines? Most are based out of the carribean and you can’t gamble until you enter international waters. Lower payback amounts? Less favorable?
All cruise line casino belong to the CLIA which has it's own regulations based on the Nevada Gaming Commission. The ship may also need to follow the gaming regulations for the country it's flagged under. But the CLIA regulations are generally more strict. The reason gambling isn't allowed until the ship is in international waters is because when it's in a country's waters it needs to follow that countries laws. For example if in the waters of the USA the casino would have to be licensed just like any other US based casino to operate. Once in international waters that would no longer apply and new "international water" rules apply. As for payback, all we know is that they must follow the same limits as Vegas, per the CLIA. What they actually set the games at is not known....like in Vegas. However, most evidence has shown they do not generally set the paybacks as high as most Vegas casinos. But realistically you really wouldn't notice the difference between how a game in a cruise ship plays vs. the same game in Vegas. Payback % is a very long term proposition only the casino sees. The individual player playing a few hundred spins on a game wouldn't even be able to tell the difference between a 75% payback and a 100% backpack game.

If you are lucky enough to get a hand pay, does it have to be done on the casino floor? The one time it happened for me, I felt like I had a target on my back and promptly left. Also as a woman, this can be worse if some creeper watches this all happen.

It depends on the amount you win if it’s a $1200-$10,000 hand pay you have to get it payed on the floor but if it’s a huge handpay over $10,000 then you can request to have them take you to a counting room. I won a $12,000 progressive jackpot back in 2012 and they paid me on the floor even though I had requested a counting room so every casino might have different ways of handling customers payouts.
The tribal casino is not true. There is one close to me that 110% pays the penalty because they are not paying out as much. They make so much money that paying the penalty is cheaper.

The answer to the first question is very simple. Guaranteed that guy has never bet over $2 a spin in his life. You aren’t gonna hit a jackpot betting 60 cents, it’s just never going to happen

Hate gang up here...but yes it can and does happen. It's just not as frequent. No need to bet bigger unless the game rules state you must bet a minimum amount to be eligable for something.
