Great information! I’ve played Buffalo and never won on it, this video explains WHY!
That was a great explanation of volatility low to high, especially for those on a low budget who want to be able to play for a while. I have a DDD coin in/coin out... Equals fun. Also a triple lucky sevens five reel and those are probably the worst to play. Basically because you will get a lot of hits on the first three reels which isn't even close to getting your bet back, then if you make it to the fourth wheel you win like 10 cents. Lol. That game will nickel and dime you to death.. equals boring. Probably why I have it for sale. Lol.. My DDD and my original Buffalo machine will never leave my house..
The Horseshoe in Westlake LA is great. The slots are spaced out far apart, which makes it more enjoyable. Completely remodeled and very nice rooms with a view of Lake Charles.
I have heard that, it’s on our list to visit
Awesome! I hope I am there when the time comes. Once a month, I fly from Arizona to Texas to take my Dad (he is 95) to play slots at The Horseshoe in Louisiana. Keeps my Dad young figuring out how the games play. His favorite slots are the old time Buffalo and Wicked Winnings. @GambleSmart
Thank you. Every time I go gambling . I save 50 percent of every win.

I got really lucky today. I had some big wins on several high volatility games. Buffalo gold revolution randomly changed all the symbols to buffaloes for a massive win. No bonus, just a big line pay. I took the money and ran away!
I love you are showing the pay table and the full name of the machine!! Y’all go so fast sometimes I never see what won on the reels. Then you add in the bingo cards **** info if you are at WINSTAR and I’m lost.. I have been learning and loving y’all’s channel…
Thank you for this video it helps to decide what to play and the risks👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks for the vid.
Just my opinion: The Buffalo games are the highest volatility in my experience...Pure garbage
Once you get to a certain point in high, they are all bad.
Great video and explainer - I really wish we had these mechanical reel classics here in Minnesota, mostly video versions. They are starting to get the newer mechanical reel slots in the newer cabinets like double jackpots and pinball ...etc. But I never see the classic mechanicals - Not since the 90's anyhow.
Thanks for watching! hopefully you get more game options soon!
my local casino just got rid of a classic 25 cent pinball machine and replaced it with the new 9 line pinball. almost shed a tear!
I was hoping you played some VGT games covering their volatility rate.
Will do on another video!
Great video, Dave. DD and Triple Stars are always my first slots I play.
Those reel machines are dinosaurs. All digital now new.
This was an excellent video for me. You helped me to not only understand volatility but it also helped me to realize what machines I prefer to play that’s within my budget. Thanks a lot for this video! Great job!😁👍🏻🎰
Hi from the UK, thanks for the videos. We're, back in Vegas soon. My friend and his wife, loves Huff and Puff & Buffalos. I normally play the tv/film/cartoon based slots. Just love overall Vegas atmosphere, although, it's pretty nickel and dime for everything.
Thank you for doing this video I needed it..
Glad it was helpful!
Very helpful!
Hello everyone.
Thanks! 👍👍👍
Thank you!
Great video because it gives real examples of each level of volatility. I'm low volatile gal until up alittle them Moolah beckons! Put a small amount in Moolah & them I'm out...up or down.
Thanks for sharing
Great video, met you at Mohegan Sun via OSS. It was my pleasure.
Thanks for the information about volatility. I did have my biggest win on dollar storm hitting supergrand on .05 denomination 1.25 spin for 1000.00.
Great video Dave 😊. I prefer playing low volatility, but also once in a while play some higher ones. I've done better with the lower ones tbh and I play longer on my budget. Hope you're having a nice weekend Dave & Marc! 😘🍀🍀🍀🌹
Every time I play Double Diamond i end up losing hard, just never hits for me. The second I go to Triple Double Diamond though, all good. Not jackpot worthy hits but enough to make a profit and bail. Triple stars vs triple double stars the same deal. Idk, maybe bias but seems too low volatility is bad for me.
I don't know if this helps but, a single line, DD, 3 reel, 7 symbols slot machine has 343 possible combinations(if my math is correct). So obviously, if you start adding more symbols, more lines, or more reels, it makes sense that the volatility is going to increase.
There’s a lot more than that. There are 22 spots on a reel but that doesn’t count the virtual pay table. Which I believe on double diamond deluxe has 56 spots on the virtual reel table. So that’s 175,000+ possible combinations.
Great explanation Dave 🤩
Been awile since saw you guys live in casino nice to see
We try to at least once a month
Just came back from the casino with Dad. The casino gave us $50 free bet on roulette red or even and we hit it for $50. He gets a hand pay of $1600 on double double bonus jacks or better ultimate x bonus streaks. And I play all the games you shouldn’t, coin Trio and the other three bonus games and I turn the $50 into $150. We both leave rich men.
That’s awesome! great use of free play and making the most out of it !
Man, that Buffalos Gold 3 reel is a guilty pleasure of mine lol
I think a good thing to look at for low volatility machine is just look at the top pay symbol, the lower the better.
I like concept of line hits are not great on higher volatility games, you are playing for bonus..good way to simplify
Thank you , i know the subject is complicated and i really wanted to make it very simple and easy to follow.
Hi from Colorado
Howdy from texas !
Thanks Dave. I watch Let's Gamble Again and she plays. the Huuuff N Puff games. She's very entertaining but it's painfil to watch her getting "Sando'd" so much.
I am curious besides looking at the volatality..should you just play 20 spins or $20?
And maybe you can do video on what is the difference between class 3 slots and Bingo slots. bc thats what we have in the only 1 or 2 casinos here in Texas.
Good work man!
Thank you!
Hey there
Texas here.
howdy!
Jacks or Better is lower in Volatility than Cherries Jubilee because the bottom four wins are 4,3,2, and 1 credit(s)...and Cherries Jubilee has a 5 credit any bar for bottom win. The top prize for Cherries Jubilee is approximately 333 times bet and 800 times bet for Jacks or Better. Am I correct on assuming this even though the Video Poker has a higher multiplier on the top prize. This is also assuming perfect play or near perfect play on Jacks or Better.
So is it considered a win in the RTP even if it does not equal your bet and you take a monetary loss?
That is a great question, even if it’s a portion of your bet back , it still
counts as return to player. As you get money back.
My local has a 9 line $1 denom Triple Diamond. You pick 1-9 lines and 1-5 credits per line. Max bet is $45.
Is it better to progress by adding lines at $1 a line or limiting lines and adding credits per line? I usually start at 3 lines 1 credit and then go to 5 lines 1 credit if I win. Is this the right play?
You are just losing line pays, if you are ok with that , then play it how it best fits your budget.
Can’t stand any of the buffalo games. Frankenstein and Mo Mummy are a couple of the more entertaining games imo.
The issue I see with volatility is that volatility doesn't equate to actual gameplay success. That doesn't mean coming out as a huge winner. What that does mean is that you have a better chance at coming away with a meaningful win. Take the Double Diamond Deluxe game and that Buffalo three reel game. I play at Horseshoe in St. Louis. If I have $20, I don't bother with any IGT three reel game, especially DDD. I would rather play that specific type of Buffalo game. Why? It line hits more than DDD and those hits are often at or above the wager amount. Volatility isn't the meaningful measure of a game. The odds of hitting any given winning combination....is. Without the mandated release of par sheets, the only way to find that out is to play the games.
Do fast spins have different outcomes from regular spins?
No difference
So, my question is, does volatility matter with bingo casinos?
It does - you need to read the game tables as well to get a good idea.
Questions do you have a better chance in winning with when playing a low vol with $25 and up denom than a $1 denom? I have won some jackpot with play $25 demon. Just wondering, thanks
No real difference , just higher wager.
Why do you do 20 spins on the high volatility? Why not 30? 40? 50?
High Volatility is high risk - you don't want to pump too much into it because it could take it all and not give you a bonus or progressive. The idea with playing High Volatility games is to try to hit it very quickly and then get out.
i think Buffalo Link is the highest volatility. (Especially Buffalo Lightning Link with the super grand) Never see anyone win on it. Even watching people on TH-cam play it, they barely ever win.
Playing one line with no bonus feature is BORINGGGG...😒😒😒
Play BuffaloLink or Huff and More Puff - VegasMatt would have!
Vegas matt had the bankroll and does great. I play my budget.
Those wheels are rattly..lol..needs to retire they are mechanical
Lmaoooo!!! Those games are just as bad honestly looking at you pkay them. Might as well play Jinse Dao. That game every 2 connecting symbol pays back 50%. And it has a rumble feature and free games feature. Ive taken like 500 and literally sat at 1 for 22 hours straight. Winning two majors and betting literally 50 cent than 1 dollar then 150, then back to 50 cent.
Edit: it dont really pay though. Unless you hit majors
*Thank you for a very informative video!*
Glad you enjoyed it!
