i was at a local casino last night just playing a 88er and a young guy maybe 21-22 probably first time he was ever in a casino sat down on a regal riches machine that was a few feet away, I watched him put in 8 $100 bills(altho he said he put in a lot more throughout the night) then proceeded to watch as he spent all that faster then i spent $40 on my 88er. he then begins to cry very loudly and screams that he is gonna get kicked out because he can't pay rent cursing vegas matt out for wasting his 4k, a lady on the other side of him start laughing and said "what did you learn" he mumbled something like "idk don't gamble" then she said "no you fucking idiot, pay bills then gamble like the rest of us". I started laughing at that point, security came and asked him what the commotion was, and told him its time to go. I ended up hitting a few bonus and walked out $165 ahead... And that's how I found this TH-cam channel lol good vids.
The thing about it is that these machines are the best to actually play when they are close. If you walked by a Buffalo machine that was 20 from max (say 1780/1800) and hadn't hit, you'd dump money on it to get the big win and walk away. Them walking in on it at 85 was a solid strategy. It's also why you need to check every denom combination on these machines as sometimes there is one nobody is paying attention to that's about ready to pop. :)
