    I wish more people would listen to BnB because he has such good advise for others. He is very true about facial expression in telling a story and BnB I’m sure trained very hard at that. He was a professional wrestler in every sense of the word so of course Japan respected him for his work and dedication. A Wrestler that is truly missed by Wrestlers, Promoters, and fans alike.

      I've heard stories of Murdoch, he was a very deceptive legit bad-ass, a fierce bar-brawler who knew how to wrestle and knew how to fight and who wasn't all that concerned with pesky things like Rules, he'd kick you in the nuts, spit in your eye, stab you with a fork, and then he'd get nasty, and he was never hesitant when it came to getting color the hard way. He didn't look it but he was in solid shape and strong as a bull, and was known for his hard short jabs, he could knock people loopy from just an inch or two away. He liked to have fun in the ring but you did not want to see his bad side

    Honestly Dick's Klan membership was a bit questionable, if he was a member he wasn't really hardcore about it, aside from being called Captain Redneck and occasionally carrying the Confederate flag (which was a lot less sensitive a subject in those days) he never to my knowledge brought it to work with him. According to Dusty Rhodes, his best friend and just about the blackest white man you could ever meet, the Klan thing was part of Dicks twisted sense of humor, he just thought taking some people to a rally and watching them freak out was hilarious

    The stuff about promoters not wanting Dick Murdoch back probably isn't true. He did his final match with New Japan in 1989 when he was 43 years old. Dick Murdoch was known for doing stupid physical comedy in his match which held back his career in the US. But physically he could "go". He was also often put in Japan in teams with guys who had a reputation for not getting along with other people like Adrian Adonis and Matt Borne.

    Think every or most wrestling fans know Dick Murdoch was either racist or supposedly apart of the KKK. Heard about the time he tried to get Dusty Rhodes to join the KKK at some secret meeting somewhere's because they were long time tag team partners. Dusty abandoned the car trip going there, and broke up the tag team with him pretty soon afterwards! Most Dick Murdock stories i've heard online are generally at his own expense and yes he was kinda crazy we've heard. Want a laugh at one of them? Simply look at Murdock's entrance into the 1995 Royal Rumble of the WWF (the first one Shawn Michaels won) when he enters Murdock hits everyone in the back one by one going around the ring. And all the wrestlers no-sold his hits? What else is there to say really!

    • @Jim-Tuner
      @Jim-Tuner 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Dusty Rhodes story may or may not have happened. But the team with Murdoch broke up because Eddie Graham decided to give Dusty a big solo push as a babyface around the mid-1970s. Dusty got picked for the big solo push at the time over Murdoch because of Murdoch's clowning around in the ring.

      According to Dusty Murdoch was never a real Klansman, if he was racist he never showed it in the ring as he was always willing to work with JYD, Ernie Ladd, Abdullah, and Bad News. Dick had a twisted sense of humor and a dedication to kayfabe only the real old-timers possessed, the humor especially was what generally screwed him over, he never knew when to turn it off. The Klan thing was part of that humor, he just never got that others didn't find it funny. Dusty also mentioned why he and Dick broke up, pretty much the same reason Shawn Michaels split with Marty Jannetty, Dick had all the talent to be World Champ but he had no professional ambition, all he wanted was to goof around, have fun in the ring, and drink beer. One day Dusty realized he wanted more and as much as he considered Dick his twin brother from another mother he wasn't going to get it continuing with the Outlaws.
