I know this is off topic but I just lost my grandfather this month and simply listening to stories like this reminds me of him so thank you for sharing . He was a mechanic but the drinking stories ❤

I believe Murdock just wanted everybody to think he was in the Klan. Made him look even scarier, I loved him as a preformer though👍👍👍

Dick bought a bar in Walsenburg Colorado...had it about the last 3 years of his life. I was working with him in that era on shows.. He loved me from day one cuz I schooled him on drinking beer! 💯 drank with him at his bar a couple times I blew everybody's mind! Never lost the strap! 😁👌
I was a teenager in the early 80s. Grew up watching mid south, would bounce between house shows in Hattiesburg, Biloxi and New Orleans all about an hour from where I lived in Bay St Louis, Ms. After a show in Biloxi I stopped to get gas at a convenience store just off pass rd I’m at the pump and out walks Dick carrying two cases of beer and gets in a van and leaves.

Ted was wrestling Stagger Lee in the Mississippi Coast Coliseum, we get the folding chairs right at the heel entrance. One of the guys that came with us hated Ted. As he’s coming out he throws his drink on Ted, Ted snatched him up the kid turned three shades of white. He got thrown out we stayed inside and watched the rest of the show.

Hey Ted i started watching wrestling around 79 and my first time seeing you live was in 82 in Waycross Georgia was that mid south and what was that arena called it was kind of small place i remember no baracades and my mom and i was front row and one of the boys ended up of in my mothers lap lol i went alone after that lol i was just a kid
Man, it's a shame to hear Ted speak the way he does now. Not that long ago I would listen to him preach and now he's talking like a sailor. I hate that. Just my opinion.
