I'm Gary,
A retired firefighter from WMFD in West Memphis, AR. I moved to the sunshine state a couple of years ago and we love it in Florida. I enjoy cooking and I usually did the cooking at the fire stations, mainly because the cook didn't have to clean up, lol. Most of the recipes I shared on here I've cooked at the station. I hope you enjoy these videos. Thanks for watching
😊 when a distinguished southern gentleman is making treats in the kitchen and says, "Let me show you something..." you BEST pay attention!
Thank you so much and Merry Christmas.
I used your recipe but subbed bourbon with the water and stirred until dry and my husband went nuts over the result
I bet that was good, I think I will try it with some fireball or Tennessee fire. Thanks for watching.
Wow. I have some honey bourbon. Did u substitute the bourbon in place of the water?
Excellent recipe. My aunt made these. She’s gone now but I can make these because of your recipe and video.
❤
@@easycookingwithgarythat’s a good idea too.
There are one of my childhood favorites. Yum!
Thank you, I love these.
The Happy Dance was the best part…😂😂😂

Question: do you roast the nuts before? Thanks.
@@mulatadesanzala2920 yes, 200 degrees F for 10 mins

Thank you for sharing.
Thank you glad you enjoyed it.
Besides having as a snack, I love them in a salad too. Another great video. Y'all have a great night.
Thank you, have a great evening too.
YES!!! There really good as well. See my grandfather farm peanuts every year. He had so many he didn't know what to do with the leftovers. So he made peanut candy with molasses. No more peanuts was wasted anymore.
I love anything with peanuts and pecans. I make peanut brittle all the time in the microwave, 10 min recipe.. thank you
How easy! I’ve always failed at making candied pecans. I’m gonna make these. And thank you so much for including the recipe from beginning to end. New sub for sure!
Thank you, hope you enjoy them..
Just made these tonight, and boy what a hit! And easy-peasy, too. Thanks so much!
That’s great glad you enjoy them. Thank you.
Loved your work and the resepi
Thank you, have a great day.
Many years ago my ex and I went down to Arkansas to help his parents move. They bought a farm in Mountain Home I believe it was. We went to his Grandmas and got bags of pecans right from her trees. I made pecan pie. Yummy! So cool to have the fresh nuts right from her grove. I didn't candy any but sure wish I had. But I have a bag right now so...thank you sir! Beautiful kitchen btw. Happy Holidays!🙏🏼🎄🥔 I know that's a tater but it kinda looks like a pecan in its jacket lol.
lol thank you and Merry Christmas to you and family.
I haven’t had cinnamon toast in years.. and you make it exactly how we use to make it. And I will make these pecans too. I usually just coat them in egg whites and then in cinnamon sugar mixture and put in the oven. Toasting pecans makes them so much better. But I got to make these. I know I will love them. Thank you
Thank you, have a great day.
Exactly how my mama made it and me too! I’m 76
You're adorable and you make delicious food! Thanks for sharing good recipes! 😃

I will be adding a touch of cayenne & black pepper to the cinnamon mixture.
Yummy! Delicious 😋 great tasting and easy! I had a little extra pecans in my recipe so I added a drizzle of maple syrup and 1 tablespoon of butter towards the end. Then topped it with your cinnamon sugar!!! Delicious ❤ Thank you!

Just found your channel Gary. My mother, miss her greatly, especially this time of year. She loved anything with nuts. She made these with pecans but she would also do a good mixed nut blend. Thank you for posting this. Brings back wonderful memories for me. May you and your family have a blessed holiday and Merry Christmas.
Thank you so much. Merry Christmas to you and your family..
Thanks Gary for the vidieo I'm going to make this recipe tonight

Thank you, I’m addicted to them..
Mmmm smells and looks good! I've got some pecans and ready to make some 😋😋😋😋
Thank you, hope you enjoy them.
That's exactly what I do in my kitchen when I make something delicious! 😋 I am all about happy dances! 😁 Thank you so much for sharing! It's been a few years since I made these in school but if I remember correctly this is how my chef taught us to make candied nuts. My main concern was having then stick together. I plan to make this for a dinner as a snack to take home on the way out. I love the fact that you don't use butter or egg whites.
( EGG WHITES!? Just Why??? I hate separating eggs and then WHAT DO YOU DO WITH THE OTHER HALF!?🥚 🙄) I also love that you add extra cinnamon sugar at the end. This is exactly what I was looking for! Super simple recipe and Awesome video! 😎👍
Thank you, make sure all the liquid is cooked out and they won’t stick together. I had the same recipe with the egg whites and it was just too much trouble lol. Thanks for watching.
@ashfresna3223, I’ve wondered that same thing, so many recipes with “EGG WHITES?!”, haha, that was so cute! JUST WHY? This is nice ‘n easy, simple, and I bet, delicious! I’m gonna try it! Thank you Gary!
Save your yolks for amazing ice cream❤
Thank you for the recipe Gary! Merry Christmas, God bless.🎉
Thank you so much, Merry Christmas to y’all.
I have been looking for a recipe like this. Thanks so much Gary. 🎉
Thank you, hope you enjoy them.
My MIL (from Alabama) used to put some white pepper in her candied pecans. So good!
Thank you, I might have to try that.
I was thinking that a little heat would be awesome with a dash of cayenne pepper. Can't wait to try these! Thanks so much Gary!!
Perfect demonstration!❤
Thank you so much.
Hey Gary, try this next time: instead of using parchment paper, since you have a stone or cultured stone countertop, just wipe it down with a very thin coat of neutral vegetable oil. Then start at one end of the countertop and start dribbling out the hot pecans little by little in a long and narrow line. This will make separation much easier and also prevent them from sticking to the surface they are on.
I will next time, sounds like a good ideal. Thanks Adam
Loved the happy dance! Thank you for sharing the recipe and showing how to make this good looking treat.
Thank you so much.
You are wonderful! I’m going to try this recipe. ☘️

Thank you, I’m ready for some college Football and cooler weather, it was 95 and feels like 112 today in Florida.
@@easycookingwithgary: I am up by Gainesville, so you must be way South if it was 95 and feels like 112. Don't worry, college football will be soon. College ball is way better than what they call professional football. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

The happy dance😂😂😂😂🎉🎉🎉❤ thanks Gary. Those look very professional just like the ones from the store, and without any butter or oil which is a very expensive ingredient. So I'm curious if these taste as good as the ones with oil or butter. That also makes them lower calorie which is healthier.
Thank you, my grandson said they tasted better than Bucees, and they are also the best I’ve ever tasted.
