      I'm looking to get myself a camera soon so I can start making much better quality videos. I'm also interested in gimble as I often take shots like those in the video, except not to that quality, yet 🙂
      The m3 is currently out of my budget. One day maybe, but not today 🙂

    Question for you, going off your comment about using active stabilisation in the camera while filming at 11.30 mins into the video. Have you used active stabilisation on the camea all the way through filming ? thinking about purchasing this gimbal but do not want to have to punch in as that defeats the purpose of having a gimbal in the first place?

  • @Jay-Go
    @Jay-Go 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Nice one, man. Good stuff as usual.
    So question for you: when trying for a shot where you need to adjust exposure (like when you shot the sun through the trees or when you got the shot of the bird), are you always going to wind up with an overall dark picture for everything else? Guess what I’m asking is: is there a way to set the camera to catch somewhat of a "balance" between the subject and the rest of the image? Or is it always going to be a situation where you just set the exposure for the subject and let the rest be what it is?
    Hope I’m making sense.

    Question about shutter speed I always leave my shutter speed on 1/60 and ISO 125, whenever I look for a perfect screenshot I noticed blur or fast motion so today I increase my shutter speed to 400 and I don't see no fast blur when i look for a screenshot.
    Is it best to leave the shutter speed 200 and above ?

    • @thefilmalliance

      @Chris-ey7zy 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I do this when I forget my ND filter or want to get stills from video. The 180 rule is suppose to cause some blur and be more cinematic but I am not always into it. It looks mushy. Not that you want crazy shutter speeds but I think that rule is meant to be broken. It’s not like you are doing a 2 hour movie where people might get sick from looking at high shutter speed movie for 2 hours

    Outstanding! I am seriously considering the Sony ZV-E10 and a gimbal would be icing on the cake. One of my huge concerns is out-of-camera footage (OOC). Does it require a lot of color grading? Some may consider me ancient, but I don't want to spend long periods color-grading my video footage . As an aside, your being able to expose for those sun shots and the men walking & carrying fishing poles is noteworthy...really enjoyed this episode on your channel. Peace & hope.

    Great vid, man. When do you choose to use active stabilization with the gimbal vs not?

    • @thefilmalliance
      @thefilmalliance  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you, I would use active when shooting away from me like in those scene establishing shots or landscape shots. If I was shooting in tight quarters or vlogging then I would just switch stabilization tp standard to get the most out of my wide-angle lens. Although this gimbal has very strong motors you can still see a little shake when you leave the camera on standard Stabilization

    • @Santiobvsi
      @Santiobvsi ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Its the 16 SIgma Lens 1.4. Still a zv-e10 body. You can see the camera was mounted on the gimbal as this camera has zero stabilization. I still shoot mine handheld till I get a gimbal, as there are tools like catalyst browse and even active steady shot that can work some magic. Hope this helps!

      @@GardenLawncareGuy Thanks Lawrence, I appreciate that. The A7siii really does all the work. I set it to S-cinetone use program auto exposure and have the Tamron 28-70mm lens on it. I threw it on a gimbal and have the operator touch screen whatever they want in focus. The operator isn't super experienced so its not like I have to hire an expensive film maker to get those shots. Also as you can tell the lighting was perfect because we were within the first hour of the day. When I got home and saw all the footage from the A-cam I was like dannnnggg because it all came out so good. I also had the A7siii on a gimbal so the movements were smoother

      @GardenLawncareGuy 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@thefilmalliance thanks for the info they are super nice shots fair play- are you grading on top of that or it that the s-cintetone profile out of cam? I see the a7vi has the cinetone profile too which is why I'm thinking of upgrading - I tried the zv1 cinetone settings from your video and whilst it's better it's nowhere near a cripsy as your videos so hoping the a74 might give me that jump.

    Hi, When i used crane m3 with sigma 16mm + zve10, i faced vibration in my gimbal sometimes. Is it for load capacity or inappropriate balance? Is it compatible for sigma 16mm lense really?

    • @Visual_Notes
      @Visual_Notes 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is exactly what I was experiencing with this camera lens setup.
      I finally returned the gimbal, firstly because it was obviously at the absolute limit with the combination sigma 16mm + VZ-E-10 (the gimbal started to shake when moving), secondly because you can no longer change the batteries of the ZV-E-10 with the standard quick release plate mounted (which is very often necessary given the small sized batteries of the camera). A special quick release plate for Sony, which would make a quick battery change possible, has not been offered in Europe until today.
      What I have learned is that with a certain camera lens setup you can not spare a correspondingly larger gimbal. I have therefore stayed with the Ronin RSC 2.
      Realistically, it doesn't get any smaller, no matter what the manufacturers promise.
