There are plenty of talented writers today, (e.g. Adele, John Legend, even Justin Beiber with songs like "Intentions"), and a lot of independent artists still write highly artistic songs with important lyrics. This song is so lyrically relevant today - even more so than in 1990 when George first released it! It's definitely one of my top three George Michael songs and with his songwriting and vocal standards so high - it's not easy to pick a favorite.
Super Deep Song . . ."Praying For Time"... This one will hit you and forever be a timeless masterpiece for me. Some will finally understand this message from 26 years ago, but you'd never know. He left his mark with this. You wanna talk about hate and censorship? This song you had to dial a 1-800 number to listen to it, because they would not play it on the radio. He wouldv'e made plenty more music if they weren't so critical of him. Simple, yet brutally honest. I was immediately struck by this song, both on a positive and a negative note,You will live forever. R.I.P. George
