So true. Have been a fan of this awesome man since I was 12 - 40 years now. Hard posters of him on my wall as a kid. His vocals always seemed effortless. Have read his biography. Such a modest, beautiful person. Gone too soon. 😢
Visited his cemetery in December last year 2023. Loved this guy and his music. He never really survived after the death of his mother. Depression sucks. RIP George. And absolute lyrical genius March2024.
I think it's one of those songs that lots of people have heard before as it's been used in a quite a few TV programs and films and probably know that it's George michael but they just don't know what it's called, I don't believe it was ever released as a single was it?
@@cathalseeeney Yup I love it too and Listen without prejudice was such a good album wasn't it and any of the songs on there could have been singles that would have charted to be fair wouldn't they! My personal favourites were Waiting for that day, Cowboys and Angel's and Mother's pride 🙂🙂
Here listening on Christmas Day 2021, marking five years since you left us. 💔 Thank you for everything you did in your 53 years. I am forever heartbroken. We love you eternally Georgios Kyriacos Panayiotou. ❤️
You know when you have totally forgotten about a song and then about 30 years later, bang, it comes along on the TV and there it is - you heard it again. My God, like a newly released song this hit me full on - it was a beautiful time in my life (last year of school), I would walk the end of the earth to go back to. Arguably George's most under rated track.
George was the real king . Talent , depth , just a sincerity that touches so deeply and a voice that melts your sole . I have people i admire who made a difference , but his voice impacted so many souls . He will touch forever
Imagine being a kid and this was your favorite song 💖 we were really lucky to have you Michael. Your voice is transcending time and space ✨✨✨ We really "MISS YOUR SMILE" ..
I remember when this album was released back then. I was doing renovations at that time. I was working in this couple’s home. Their teenage kid played this album over and over. I went out the next day to buy it. Little did we know that we were listening to a masterpiece.
“And if these wounds, they are self-inflicted I don’t know really know how my poor heart could have protected me But if I have to carry this pain If you will not share the blame I deserve to see your face again” Most effective breakup song ever. I have cried 1000 times listening to this song.
I still Can't Belive All my childhood All my youth with your music... I cried thousand time listening this song.. with you a part of me it's just died. I will miss you.. Thanks for Being a part of my life with your wonderful songs ❤
Anna Stardust i knew its hard i cried also that he died i'm 15teen years old. I knew that im not from these time but i loved his music my father was at this time and he loved him so much i also he was at 2 Concert from him. I miss him also.
I hear ya, Anna. I'm only 2 years younger than George, and damn I miss his presence. He was like a string attached to my soul all my life. His music seemed part of me and my life, it still is and does. Never bores me, not even his later Wham stuff. Even though I wasn't really following him in recent years up to his death, I recall being shocked by the video of him being so ill the year before. And I followed him on Twitter, because I loved his honesty and integrity there. Never had issues with him coming out, I'm from a generation that just didn't give a shit about gender or sexuality; We had Freddy Mercury, Patrick Cowley and many other greats that died of aids. Loved him when he appeared with Ricky Gervais in Extras. That was just awesome, because I loved that series before George could have known I would ;-)) Damn, I miss him.
On the 13th December I lost my dad. 13 days later the world lost George. At the time I didn't pay a lot of attention to his music, I did like some of his songs, but many passed me by. but as that old saying goes - you don't know what you had until it's gone. What a truly great singer & song writer George was. Really good that so many of his songs were used in the film 'last christmas', a great tribute to him. I hope George & my dad bump in to each other up there ....
Something I just can’t explain , Something in me needs this pain …. Hard to let go of something you truly love Amazing song .. thank you George Michael ❤
Bought this on cassette day of release. 19 years old and hitch-hiking around Canada. Working odd construction jobs, from city to city. This entire album never got old.

Tears, I remember hearing the news after 9pm on christmas day, disbelief n shock!...real genuine tears . For weeks and still now I can cry and my heart aches . Such a loss . I wanted more but you were done. Love you still !xxx😇😇😇😇
The ultimate trying-to-get-over-someone song. It sounds as fresh and poignant as it did back in 1990 and IMO one of George's best yet under-rated songs. RIP gentle soul.
My mate Alex driving us to work in his red metro singing along together, my feet on the dashboard, having a ciggy out the window, warm magical memories, thank you George XX
This has always been my favourite and that’s saying something considering how much I love this mans music . Right now at 44 it’s never been so accurate where I find my life . God I miss her 💚

Wow is all I can say. What a man, songwrite and vocalist. The best I have ever seen. It's my youth in Bury. Listening to a Different Corner on the bus with my Sony Walkman headphones and tape cassette lol. Even had the long dyed hair and white clothing including the jumper. A little bit of stubble at that age. But not enough. Still makes me remember things though.
The greatest male vocalist in contemporary music ever. A voice that can’t be ignored, and a loss that can’t be replaced RIP George 😢
My favourite all time singer and a huge loss 😢

He took a '60s-style organ riff and a '70s drum track and made it the quintessential track of Autumn '90. 🙌🏻
