This is off topic, but Imma still say it. I love watching your videos. They're really entertaining! I wish i could experience the sims 2 but I play on mac (And the only way to get the sims 2 on mac is either illegal, fake, or for super collection it doesn't really work anymore.) Anyways, your video's are really cool!

OMG I CANNOT BELIEVE I DIDN'T KNOW THIS like, omg, I've been playing sims since I was 8, I'm not even kidding, I mastered sims before I mastered basic elementary school math, and I can't believe I've had entire neighborhoods with either identical or ugly sims bc I din't know this FOR LITERALLY 14 YEARS.

If you blend a template it also resets the sliders, so you can push them over the normal maximums to as far as you want. I once used this to make a sim with a single giant eye and no nose.
At TS4 you can change the textures and it looks different as well lol

@@missundies If you pick different eyes, nose or even chins that are premade, each one has a different texture. That might be one of the reasons they're taking long to release the new skintones. (After their statement)

I immediately tried this out in Sims 3 to see if it's the same there.
It is! Doesn't take as many clicks though. About 4-5 from the small amount of testing I did, so it's more like 25% each time or so.
Oh, cool! Need to try it out in both games now!

Yeah, but I find creating Sims in Bodyshop way better anyway, because you have sliders of face templates and also of each part of the face from each template so there are even more options of making unique Sims:) And let's not forget about Pooklet method of creating Sims in Bodyshop - no Sim will look the same if you use this method!
but this method is much much easier - requires nothing but the game :D i'm sure it'll come in handy when i want a cool new sim but have no time or mood for hassle with body shop and counting the sliders
Pooklet’s method is amazing. I can’t stop making new Sims that way, they’re all so unique. Especially with custom face templates!

This is fantastic! I suppose it wasn't "hidden" per say, but I feel like if this were a modern game there would be a tool tip or a hint screen somewhere that popped up telling you about this. It's going to make it so much easier to make sims now!

I find this very interesting because the normal genetics of the game don't blend parents facial features (one parent with a large nose and one parent with a small nose don't cancel eachother out, so the baby will have one or the other). With this method you could naturally blend facial features like in real life! Thank you for sharing this!

i’ve been playing for 11 years and thought i knew quite literally everything there was to know. i’m talking *years* of finding out information about the game and literally making a database of it (never had the prima guide). but this video is the first i’ve EVER heard of this feature.

I had no idea, I miss sims 2 so much, I have to check how much space I have on my laptop and maybe I could have both 2 and 4, I also have an even older laptop that I could have 2 on..I’ll have to fix it somehow. This was awesome!

I had no idea that facial blending in Create a Sim was possible. I thought it was exclusive to Body Shop. And that right clicking the thumbnails only refreshed the pictures. I still prefer Body Shop when it comes to facial blending. Since Body Shop allows you to click the same slider 80 times. Whereas Create a Sim only allows you to click the same slider 10 times.
I'm not sure if you meant instruction manual instead of Prima guide but either way, I looked at the manual in my physical copy and yup!! It mentions it!! Can't believe I didn't know until now!! I got this game when I was 8 and I'm 21 now 😱😱😱

oh my gosh, this game!! been playing this for almost sixteen years and there's still huge things like this i never discovered in it, how
TS2 is full of hidden features, like, it's even possible to hide the interface by clicking F10 (I think, I don't really remember which Function key it was), put a cake on a Sim's head or an alarm clock inside a Sim's torso with moveobjects or annoy a Sim that is taking a shower with an other Sim that flushes the toilet in the same room as the shower
It amaze me to still learn feature from this game. Thank you ! :o

I don't think I ever had a reason to read the prima guide as a kid, since I always cheated anyway 😂 (I used to read the gossip section in the Glamour pack though while the game loaded) and I've never been interested in looking at CAS trivia now 12 years later, so I didn't know this! Thank you!
