Yes, definitely cover the alternator. It only takes a minute to do. I always take an air blower to the engine compartment to remove as must excess water as possible when done cleaning the engine bay. I prefer to use my commercial vapor cleaner over a pressure washer as it easily breaks down grease and uses far less water to accomplish the task.
Good tip!
Cleaning an engine takes less than 10m depending on how regularly you do it I do it ones every couple weeks and as a person that work on my own car makes a big difference don’t want to be getting grease and crap all over yourself for no reason
As they say "frequent maintenance is easy maintenance."
Hi. A question on Motorplast. Can it be applied to aluminium ( car / bike engine, also scooter crankcase, which both three, is made primarily from cast aluminium ). Thanks!
Naturally shiny, water-displacing conserver for engines, housing parts, rubber hoses and power units of cars, commercial vehicles, etc.
great products, great explanation.
Thank you.
I get it 100% people who want it to look nice and clean, also people with aftermarket parts and show cars ❤, but daily drivers…nope it does not make any part last longer, does not make it run faster, is only seen by the mechanic and he most likely appreciate a clean motor but will also say is dumb
Don't know about them saying it's dumb, I guess there are some. But even those guys I'm sure would rather work on a clean engine compartment than a dirty one. Bigger picture is when everything is nice and clean it's much easier to spot a problem such as a leak or cracks in a hose or belt before it fails. It's not always about cosmetics.
