Had a few races last couple of days and I really liked it. Very simple to join and race. First race was with only one guy and AI rest of the field. Last one was 8 people. Definitely we need more people to join so this thing can grow. I was on iRacing for years. Raced on LFM too, but AMS2 with latest update deserves online system more than ever. So give it a shot and see for yourself.
definetly a gamechanger, that is what was missing from ams2 for sure ! hopefully the community keeps on growing and we have multiple splits per series ! that would be amazing !
I have been racing on racecraft for a few weeks now. It is brilliant. Had numerous good races, great battles. I experienced fairplay on the platform, from other players.

I kept meaning to have a look at RCO but now I will for sure. Hope to be on track this afternoon. I love iRacing but a good online service for AMS2 is a game changer! Especially for us VR racers. New subscriber here. Good work!
Hi Dan, this is exactly what I need to drive online, due to my shift work I can rarely drive when the leagues etc are driving. I think this is a real game changer for AMS2. Too bad Reiza ignores RCO.
@@WarmRed77 yeah its a shame. I think its because they're trying to create their own version of RCO and dont want third parties. either way RCO is a greay idea
Oh man, this looks Rad.......I've just dusted off the cobwebs on my old G25 and been having a bit of fun on AMS2. I'm definitely going to check out RCO!
I hope it does well. Looking at the number of active players on Steam DB it’s not going to be an easy job, 550 ish average for AMS2 compared to 860 for R3E:: 1,100 for RF2:: 5,500 for ACC:: and 13,000 for AC:: This seems like a fair reflection of the relative quality offered by these sims, you can’t argue with the numbers, regardless of the reasons AMS2 is just not popular, slightly surprised R3E isn’t showing better numbers as it’s got its own rating system on top of a solid physics and ffb system. Where I think this will fail to win over multi player die hards is that you are more likely to be playing against the AI and a human or two than against a grid of real players and that ain’t multiplayer to some. As for the rating system, I can tolerate a drop in rating for my own mistakes. Losing rating due to another players mistake is worse but there is at least some opportunity to rant / discuss / learn from the incident. Losing rating due to AI doing random AI things (they are on different physics than the player and there are well known and documented issues with the AI logic) with no opportunity to rant / discuss / learn is just not floating my boat, I might as well just play a single player game and ‘pretend’ it’s against humans who don’t have a voice chat.
I think what it boils down to Dev time. They could obviously develop it, but it's directly take time away from Dev in other areas. Personally, I think this type of system is absolutely core and critical to have this type of system.
Welllllll I think that's a bit strong, personally. The only title out there with this as a main feature is iracing. ACC & RF2 have LFM.....I'd not say they're half-baked
If I was Reiza, I would implement this into the game in stead of focusing on more content. Honestly, I would even pay for example €10 for it as an dlc.
Programing a system like racecraft online in a web is different than programming it IN GAME. That's why iracing charges for a membership.. it takes a ton of upkeep especially with the amounts of players iracing has. Devs wouldn't be able to keep up with both games and website stuff
RF2 have got the online thing pretty sorted now. Every race I do, any time of day, is full. Racing is usually pretty damn good imo. I hope AMS2 can copy RF2! 🤞🏼
This should be promoted by every single player IN MULTIPLAYER. There are a lot of people who play every day but have no clue this exists. My self included.
Never heard of this before your video popped up on my timeline. Signed up and completed a race just now. Would def recommend the service. Also thanks for the heads up, and +1 subscription. Will you be streaming these races at any point?
Thank you so much for the kind words and also for signing up I stream daily over on twitch - "pitlanes" All sorts of Sim racing content but I do enjoy a smattering of random stuff like star citizen too ☺️
This will only work if people race ...great idea of a platform to try to create some multiplayer action on a sim that is very good but online unpopulated!
you should share this with some Brazilian AMS2 youtube btw, given that AMS2 is relatively popular there. I don't mind translating smth for you if u need it.
I did my first races yesterday and the system worked really well I really enjoyed the reizas The only thing I noticed is that if you complete the practice challenge in any track with one car then you can race that track with any car; so you can practice a track using a Fiat Uno and then register to a F1 race without practicing I think or am I wrong?
Reiza needs to cooperate with these guys. I tried it last night and it was fun ( even if i am the slower rookie 😂 ). I have one question though. Track and cars combos are the same for all players around the world? Because even if i am European i love to race Brazilian Stock cars at tracks of Brazil.
I use it a lot since I discovered it with your video 😊. But I don t get why there is not more peoples on it? It s really a great online career mod with statistics and classes for really good races
most of the users are from europe. I check the best time to play with people and in USA it says between 10am and 3pm.. I'm at work during that time. I can only play after 5. But the fact that they got adaptive AI it's still a game changer.. plus YOUHAVE A CAREER TO PURSUE so it's still great to play with the AI.
These third party websites will never have the same population as if they just had it in the games to begin with... Sim racing devs are 15 years behind the rest of the industry when it comes to online play its insane.
@@pitlanes While it would be nice, the majority of people aren't searching through other platforms to find their races. They are clicking the "online" button on the main menu.
Building game and online service are two different things - it requires different skill set from dev. Your average dev can't build/write everything, we do specialize - so game dev who is great in writing super effective sim physics code would not be able to create great online system and vice versa. Sim racing devs are not 15 years behind, they just don't have staff required to build online services like iRacing.
I wouldn’t call it a game changer yet. It’s a start for sure. But it’s still flawed in some places. I mean look at this weeks schedule for platinum GT1s at Monza junior! Hardly the car an track combo you are looking for there really.

Because of the awful project cars to multiplayer implementation it’s still peer to peer essentially. That’s why even though you have a dedicated server you still need a host to start the multiplayer session. For this reason lfm didn’t want to touch it
there are some tracks that will say "needs dlc" but that's probably 10% of the content.. the 90% you can get acces to no problem because it's mostly the BASE game cars and tracks. having said that there is absolutetly dlc content but when you open the screen you get like 6 tracks to choose from so.. you should be good.
