Personally i think clones should come with no chipping and weathering whatsoever, at least the regular troops. It wouldn't bother me if it was a bit randomized; as it is you magically get the same chipping on every clone you get.
I could get behind that idea! At least in the Entertainment Earth exclusive clone four-pack, the weathering and battle damage was different on each figure in the case. But I'd also be down for some clean troopers every once in a while as well. Thanks for checking out the review, Commander Rotal! -Justin
It’s been raining Black Series at my house in the last week. Cantina Showdown, Trapper Wolf, Artillery Stormtrooper x2, Imperial Shock Trooper x3, Imperial Crosshair, Bad Batch Rex, and Admiral Rampart. All within the span of a week. Christmas came early. Love this figure in particular, that color scheme just pops. Took the pauldron of two of my three to create a little squad.
I know that it's a repaint but I love it. There is something about the red, white and black for me that just works for me. Can't wait for mine to arrive. Great video as always!
Great review. Hoping to find this wave in stores somehow since I got shut out of the pre-orders. And in regards to the weathering... I like it. Could even use some dirt effects to add more to the overall look.
Thanks, Sean! I'd definitely be down for some dirt effects on the clones but Shock troopers protect VIPs or are on guard at Coruscant so I could see why they wouldn't be that dirty. Appreciate you checking out the review! -Justin
I love this figure, the red and white on the Shock Troopers really make them pop.I much prefer the new body myself and do not mind the chipping too much,it's just so super cool to add a Shock Trooper to the collection after missing out on the exclusive set released a while ago.I have all the exclusives up to now but still waiting on Rex.Awesome review Justin
They do pop for sure! The Coruscant Guard paint scheme is just very aesthetically pleasing and I like how they are portrayed almost sort of villainous even when they were part of the Republic. Hey Infernal! I'd agree with that. I kind of separate the animated vs. live action clones in the display. It works! Thanks for checking out the review. -Justin
I think neither the new or old Clone body is really where it needs to be. They both have compromises that i'm not 100% happy with. I prefer the new pegless design, i don't like holes in my figures, but on the new Clone the knees and elbow armor pieces work worse than on the old ... so neither version is really ideal. When it comes to Helmets, no question the old "realistic" helmets are the clear winner, having heads glued to helmets is a terrible idea (and i don't see how it could possibly be cheaper to make 2 pieces of plastic instead of one), mostly because the helmets are not always glued on properly, i had a clone that had an ear pushing out the side of the helmet that i had to return to sender... i definitely prefer proper helmets, they look better and have less issues, they could use an updated neck for modern articulation but that is half as important as the thing actually looking right. Ignoring the "black line" controversy, the proportions of the animated helmet just don't look that good, it's too wide and the visor is too thin. It is not bad enough that i would skip on a figure, but side by side, it's rough and i like the old one much better. GOOD THING IS, i don't have any of the old ones in red anyway so i can't even do a side by side on my shelf. Either way, i would absolutely insist that new product lines, in new packaging, for a new show, avoid using old molds for troopers or armor if there is a new version. Old stuff that looks and feels old should be retired at some point and only be used again for Archive line or restocks of the actual figures that used those molds. Same with Stormtroopers, i don't want to EVER see the old Stormie mold mixed in with the new Mandalorian or Rogue One lines for example. At least the Troopers within a specific product line should always look and feel the same. If some 5+ year old Black Series Trooper from a different by now retired line (red/orange/blue) uses a different or old mold, that is fine. Now let me point you to the Atack of the Clones line in new packaging #1 and #2 are literally one old and one new Clone Trooper mold ... that is a NO GO! Don't ever do that again. Stuff like squished helmets... or badly glued on helmets to heads... that kind of crap i would expect a multi billion $ company with decades worth of experience to fix before it ever has the chance to make it to the customer. Do they not do test runs? Do they have no QC in the factory? ...that kind of stuff i find truly disappointing. It is bad enough if i have to play Beta Tester with new Videogames, but for plastic figures? ... come on, you can do better. Especially with how hard it is to get one of these figs, you can't just buy a replacement if your pre-order ends up broken, Hasbro can't replace it but will send you something random (they literally send me a Kuill as replacement for a AOTC Clone Trooper... so mad! i already got one and he is peg warming so hard i can't even sell him on ebay).
Well said, ZeroB4NG! I would say that the articulation of the new body is miles superior to the old clone body, but I do agree about the armor pieces. A knee pad should stay on the knee, period. They have really gone back and forth with the clones. Some are animated, some are more realistic, and some are a combination of the two such as the Elite Squad Trooper and the new Jet Trooper clone. I also agree about the heads, they need to ditch that whole idea and go back to a ball joint on the new neck articulation like you said. Thank you so much for checking out the review and taking the time to write out a well thought out comment. Take care! -Justin

This is late, but I completely agree! Hasbro needs to stop going back and forth with clone moulds. There’s too much inconsistency… Also, I have the same complaints with the new mould. They should’ve kept the old helmet. If they want helmets with heads inside, it should only be for named characters with removable helmets. As for the torso, I don’t personally care that it’s elongated. I just want it to look movie accurate, so I prefer the old torso. Removing the leg and arm pins were nice, but they need to be redone! I don’t mind the elbow pads being glued in place. However, they need to make the arm swivel below the shoulders like the old mould. Not above the elbow, because the elbow pads look funny when kept in place, but the forearms move. As for the legs, they need to do it in the reverse. So that if the knee pads are glued, it’s to the bottom half of the leg. Also, doing the knee joint in reverse will hide the area where the upper and lower leg meet.

While I’ll still buy any clone we get I can’t help but be disappointed by the new body my main gripe is the upper chest sitting too high so all the new clones are taller now and I feel that this new body doesn’t stack up against the new stormtrooper mold which they nailed down perfectly imo
I tend to separate the animated clones and the live action clones. I love the Clone Wars so I don't mind having the stylized versions but they should maintain making some theatrical ones as well. Looking forward to seeing your vids on the rest of the Walmart exclusives (hope you got them all!).
Yeah the Walmart pre-orders are always an absolute nightmare, it's a roll of the dice. The shocktrooper does look fantastic though, like I said in the review the red just pops! Especially against the black background. Thanks for checking out the review, MarkyD! -Justin
@@OutOfTheBasement Well good news 😬. Last night around 3AM EST Rampart came back in stock (and is still in stock 18 hours later) so I was able to put in an order. I got Crosshair a few nights ago as well when it was going in/out of stock for short bursts. So it looks like I’ll have all four of these exclusives now assuming nothing goes wrong with shipping. Yea! 😬
Another great review thank you for that!! Unfortunately Walmart canceled all three of my orders!! I ordered that one, The imperial crosshair, and the Rex. All three were canceled!! Unfortunately, I doubt very seriously I will never find them in store and that’s a real bummer. But I Love your comparison to the movie version, I totally agree clones are awesome no matter which kind!! looking forward to the next review!
No problem, DarthEducator! I'm very sorry to hear about your cancelled Walmart pre-orders. Dang, that sucks! Walmart pre-orders are truly a nightmare. Next review will be the Artillery Stormtrooper on Saturday! -Justin
New body...old body...doesn't matter 😆. It's a new clone. Happy to have him.
I have a likewise opinion on that matter! Thanks for checking out the review, Richard. -Justin
🔥🔥🔥🔥 fire as always Justin!
Appreciate you as always, supertech! -Justin
Well, I have a Clone Shock Trooper and an unpainted poldron, I guess I can make my own since I missed this one. I saw the Artillery trooper on Amazon for twice as much and the guy has dozens. I hate scalpers.
Yeah these exclusives have been rough for people. Luckily Nate and I got super lucky with our Walmart pre-orders. Thanks for checking out the review, Gentugo! -Justin
out of the basement is the black series death trooper commander as tall as this clone trooper if not is there any death trooper from black series that is the same size as the clone trooper in this video?
Also could the death trooper hold this clone shock troopers weapons by any chance
Both being Black Series figures, they are in scale together. Whether they are the exact same height or not, probably not but very similar. I'd imagine the Black Series Death Trooper could hold the DC-15 as well. Thanks for watching! -Justin
@@OutOfTheBasement thank you Justin
for answering my question relatively fast
and this is the link for the certain death trooper i may try to buy online
th-cam.com/video/LOYyBTG7oSw/w-d-xo.html
and i got that as the first result when i
looked up
STAR WARS ROGUE ONE THE BLACK SERIES #25 IMERPIAL DEATH TROOPER FIGURE HASBRO
and hopefully thats the same figure
yet again thank you and stay safe Justin
@@OutOfTheBasement also both of my clone troopers kinda have a bit of a problem holding the longer blaster like the handle of the blaster is like pretty small and the hands kinda have a bit of a problem
do you know or have any recommedations to how to fix it either a video link of how to fix it or what you recommend how to fix it
or if you have the same problem with the
DC-15A long blaster rifle but they have no problem holding the DC-15S blaster carbine
Some action figures come out of the box a little stiff. I'd heat up the hands with some warm water or a hair dryer so you can fit the blaster into their hands more easily. -Justin
@@OutOfTheBasement thank you justin ill try that when i get back from school thank you so much
A Justin review? I've been customizing the blasters and I'm in the process of my first custom, Bo-Katan. This is a figure I'll have to pick up. I don't mind the chipping because it does look like they've seen some action. Now that you mention it, the theatrical does look better, but I love them both. Great review. . Hope you had a good birthday.
A Justin review! I did have a good birthday, thank you. I agree about the paint, it doesn't bother me as much as it used to. But it still does for that Walgreens clone lieutenant since the other phase I clones have the solid paint. Thanks for checking out the review! -Justin
They really need to stop giving Walgreens exclusive's. Also, where is this mysterious 212th clone trooper?!?!
Still waiting on mine, can't wait. Great review as always!
Thanks, Paul! It'll be worth the wait. -Justin
If I get the money I’ll definitely build a bit of an army with these guys! The Clone Shock Troopers are my absolute favorites and my Commander Fox needs some backup!
I do love the shock troopers, gotta love the red color scheme! -Justin
He's very sharp-looking!!
Agreed! Appreciate ya, Dawn. -Justin
Thanks for the review! Appreciate you guys as always! Stay Blessed!
Appreciate ya, Isaac! Take care. -Justin
I love the look of this Figure. Zavvi UK got these on pre order and i bought 2. Btw Bigbadtoystore is starting to ship Tech soon!
If your in the uk might wanna check out Star action figures
@@chickenninja5512 im In Finland. I have to check if they can ship without tax. Zavvi can do that
Nice! Sounds like you have some goodies coming your way. Thanks for watching the review! -Justin
👍🏾👍🏾 review. I have no preference on which CT are from animation or films. Just make more CT.
Always down for more clones! No matter what. Thanks for checking it out, Fettmatic! -Justin
My mom just ordered me one once im done with all my home work and school work she get a second one SO LETS GOO
Nice! Great job! Appreciate you checking out the review. -Justin
@@OutOfTheBasement thank you very much i do agree that the knee pad is a problem they do need fix and after seeing this i would think it be cool if they could make the helmet look up a little more
Mostly for stop motion reasons
And after seeing this review im even more happy for when my clone trooper gets here
More for the reason that it will be my first clone trooper figure to collect and play with and maybe once i get more clone and start getting battle droid i can do star wars stop motion while also doing my halo mega construx stop motion
And i am happy that im getting this figure looks great and just like you im in love with clone troopers i grew up with the clone wars too so naturally i like the clone wars and bad batch series more then the sequel
It also would be cool if they would make a season 7 captain vaughn and season 7 commander rex
It be cool if they make a clone wars style general grievous and his commando droids if they haven't made that yet
And im happy that yesterday i asked my teacher if i could bring him to school(him being the clone trooper) to play with when im done with my work and my teachers give me free time.
And sorry if this is alot to read and by any chance is there any way for clone trooper to holster his DC 15S blaster and his DLC 15A blaster
@@OutOfTheBasement and np im really happy to finally own a clone wars clone trooper
Im 15 rn and the start of my clone trooper collection is now starting 2022 IM SO EXCITED
Its nice to meet a clone wars fan btw
@@OutOfTheBasement well i got both of them the same day and im really happy with them my problem is one of them one foot has easy movent and other has like a foot that its hard to make go up and down and i think both of them have a little trouble holding their blasters the one with his boot movent that's good he has a hard time keeping a grip on the handle of the long blaster and the small blaster he can hold them ok ish and i think its the same for the other one who has boot problems and im wonder if you help me find out what happened like if i unboxed it wrong, took him out wrong, also are they meant to be standing on a shelf toy or its playable toy cuz my mom mention that to me and im wonder what's you think if you agree with her or if its ok to play with them
@@OutOfTheBasement also what kinda of paint would you recommend for custom painting the shock trooper
Like as far as i know black series never made a shadow clone trooper they have a red visor black armor with grey stripes
And i want your recommendation for painting on this figure to make him custom painted and a paint that doesn't scratch off or get removed by soap or water or both, and doesn't come off with alcohol like cleaning spray like its basically permanent. What do you recommend from that that i can easily find at my local walmart
Great video!! The red isnt as dark as should be. Must match pauldron color. I prefer the other one. These new black series plastic are looking to cheap plastic. I'm not sure if I'll get this one. Hasbro is slacking in weathering and making them look battle damaged
Thanks for checking out the review, Arni! -Justin
Awesome figure, wish it wasn't a damn exclusive but I was able to get 6 from a few stores near me after a January 1st restock.
Thanks for checking out the review, TheShadowMaster64! It's a great figure, I managed to snag two from a Walmart pre-order. -Justin
Nice review. The Order 66 clones are my favorite but this is a very cool figure. The better articulation really brings it up a few notches. Keep up the good work. Again happy birthday 🎈
The articulation really does something for the new clones. Thank you, Gerald! Appreciate you checking out the review. -Justin
I picked up this guy NIB today at a flea market!
That's awesome! -Justin
I wish Hasbro would give us more clones and didn't make them exclusives!
Great video as always!
Agreed, I can never say no to more clones! Thanks for checking out the review. -Justin
Outstanding showcase, I wonder if you could head swap for the order 66 version with the black line on the helmet to get best of both worlds? I wonder if that would even work
The pegs are for sure different, you can do it but it won’t sit right. Thanks for watching!! -Nate
Very good review! Mine showed up last week and I love him. Hasbro can give me any clone or stormtrooper repaint as long as they are on the new bodies.
Appreciate you, TK! Definitely agreed, I will take all troopers. Take care! -Justin
Damn. I was gonna buy but that theatrical clone is so much better looking. I'll wait for the vintage runm maybe they'll fix it then
They both have their pros and cons! Thanks for watching, Carlos. -Justin
i am a new fan and im just wondering what the difference is between the old and new clone bodies?
The old clone body sculpt is based on the theatrical look of the clones, but with severely lackluster articulation. The new clone body has much better articulation, but at the expense of the sculpt being in the more Clone Wars animated style. Thanks for checking out the review! -Justin
Cool review! Was hoping to hear your thoughts on the white plastic used. It seems to have a tint of yellow compared to all the other troopers in the black series, which I was kinda bummed to discover. What do you think?
Oh thanks, TheThwip! I actually didn't notice that while filming it, I'll have to take another look. Thanks for checking it out! -Justin
I just ordered one from Walmart and said I will get it May 13th, hope I get it
That's awesome! I saw that these were recently restocked. Appreciate ya checking out the review! -Justin
@@OutOfTheBasement it came so they are or where in stock
Nice Review Justin! A must have figure in my book for sure! I dig the chipping of paint just for a more realism feel.
"EXECUTE ORDER 66!"
Fig! Hope you're good brother. Missed having the stream on Sunday. Bloody Halloween!
@@DavidEdge69 Looking forward to this upcoming sunday for sure. See ya there my friend!👊
@@Fig_Fury Will be there. Have a good weekend brother.
Thank you, Fig! It’s a great looking figure for sure. Good point about the chipping and realism. Appreciate ya checking out the review! 👍🏻 -Justin
Birthday Bhoi!!! Whatcha get? Tell me, tell me! There's some comments here J. Just took me an hour to read them! Particularly confused by the DC blaster thread. I'll go with: It's his shooter, if you don't mind! Are you or N8y on the twit or any other sm? Also, is n8 sorted in his new house? Forgot to ask him yesterday. Good review my friend. Not too many of us can line those 3 up in the same shot. Take care brother.
I actually ended up getting some Lego sets! Tee hee! If you are in our Discord or follow us on Instagram you'd be able to see that haul. And yeah the blaster thread was kind of silly. Don't care much for legends vs. canon technicalities but I guess I should be speaking properly for these reviews. Nate is moving into the house later this month! Thanks for checking out the review, David! -Justin
@@OutOfTheBasement You speak how you want bro! House Party at N8's!!! Lego, Lego, Lego rules, if you get some you are cool! Will try the diz-chawd. How do I get on? Actually thought it was private but someone said last stream go on it. Not on ig but going to sort that. Cheers brother!
For some reason my one has a head sculpt in the helmet does the helmet come off??
They all are like that. It’s to help keep the helmet in shape. It is not removable unless you heat it up to dissolve the glue that’s in there. Thanks for watching! -Nate
Oh thanks
I got my one from a game store in Australia since I'm Australian
I MANAGED TO GET IT OFF! th-cam.com/video/xeYvec71ujI/w-d-xo.html
Lol wow I love my shock trooper. Love it a bit less seeing your E.E. exclusive. Great review.
Thanks for watching James! -Nate
Why do they always fudge the chest plate line on one side ? Unless I'm missing something .....other than that ..cool
It’s supposed to be a kind of paint chipping/weathering that you also see on the arms and legs. Thanks for checking out the review! -Justin
I wish they would of kept the black like above the eyes I hate that it's not there
True the black line makes a world of difference! Thanks for checking out the review. 👍🏻 -Justin
Hey chickenninja55! Thanks for checking out the review. -Justin
👍👍
James 😁
Hey James, appreciate you checking out the review! -Justin

Uh sure! -Justin
For example if they did a 212th Airborne Trooper they better make it a theatrical clone! I do agree that the new stormtrooper mold is far more of an upgrade, and it looks near perfect. Thanks for checking out the review, Dankchez! -Justin
