So if you're at a MegaPlex theater, anx there are 30 screens showing films. How would you manage getting to the bathroom, and back to your seat in a reasonable time. You'd have a ton of pissers all at once. They'd only be able to have 1 showing a day, in order to accommodate the delay in getting to the end of the movie. Beecause the lines for the terlit we're interminable.
For someone who isn't into Lord of the Rings you sure bang on about how not into it you are. If you have a secret Lord of the Rings room in your house you can tell us, we'll still love you.
We find out Danny is a hobbit. Simon hates the lord of the rings because it inspires uprising among the basement folk and his basement door leads directly to Mordor.
@@whenyourethisbig Not really. There's a saying that goes "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic." It's pretty apt. You could easily remake Star Trek as an ocean adventure where they visit islands with strange peoples and monsters, and turn the phasers into magic wands and the communicators into telepathy rings. There's a reason that Sci-Fi and Fantasy are usually listed together as SFF or near to each other in book shops. They share a lot of similarities in terms of storytelling, it's mostly just the aesthetics that are different. You've even got Science Fantasy films like Star Wars blending the genres.
I have a similar preference. I'm not just very interested in fantasy films. To be fair I'm not very interested in those films either, in which technology is just a form of magic. What I mean is technology which is based on absolutely nothing, and can do whatever the plot needs (like the unbelievable technology Tony Stark constantly comes up with).
What I don't get is how anyone can enjoy non sci-fi fantasy or historical movies. If it's a story about real life I'd rather go just experience it myself. I seek entertainment to escape briefly from reality so why would I want to escape back into reality? Also personally I think the more over the top and fantastical the better. I personally have no issues with maintaining suspension of disbelief. Why can't people just shut their brains off and enjoy something?

Simon Firefly was a TV show that was cancelled way too early. The fan outcry caused a "sequel" movie called Serenity to be created. Both absolutely worth the time for sci-fi fans.
I can already imagine Danny sitting in the basement watching this video, seeing his captor ironically plugging merch that says 'Free Danny'.Quietly sitting there, gently sobbing, disheartened by Simon's fastly pulsating capitalist heart. I had a mate who literally had no books but dune books. He read them cover to cover then started straight away at the beginning. Same with the movie. End to end

I lost it at the Erica with the 3d glasses and popcorn meme Lol "I don't understand" Give Sam a raise please Another slice of bread or two should suffice
The movie I want to see is Topher Grace's edit of the first three Star Wars prequels into one coherent movie. That it exists, and we can't see it isn't fair.
I think movies today don't have intermissions because: 1) long films aren't economically interesting for studios, for them the more sessions the better; and 2) the average moviegoer barely has the discipline to quietly sit and watch a normal-length movie
Have you seen the near 3-hour-long punch man movies they put out? The latest James Bond is 2 hours 40. The stated economic mantra is nonsense as it would push ever shorter movies. Where are all the sub hour studio movies if that was true? The turnover at the theatres doesn't matter to the studio, for them it's the repeat viewings. It's the theatres that worry about the churn.
This episode really makes me want to see a Q&A on Simon's opinions on Movies/TV/Art. could be a new multipart series. Think about the MONEY Simon! Whether people agree or disagree the comments alone man!
You've never heard of Terry Gilliam? The only American member of Monty Python's Flying Circus? And then I remember that their heyday was the late 1960s/early 1970s, way before you were born (I keep having to remind myself that Simon is less than 10 years older than my car.)
Here's a warning about managing your expectations: Dune. Josh Brolin was AMAZING and they finally got the ornithopters right, but otherwise...don't take it out on street junkies like I did. 😣
Ackroyd is more than living. He's a Canadian. Harold Ramis is deceased. The guy was a legend. Wiki him. Fact Boy, Pink Floyd is a British band so show some respect to your fellow countrymen. Plus, they will be talked about 500 years in the future. Mozart, Beethoven, Floyd.
Just going to point out that the new version of Dune is awesome, really enjoyed it but it's a big screen movie for sure, looking forward to the sequal coming out.
At 10:06 he said the holy mountain and my brain damn near blazed out my head. I had been trying to remember the name for over 20 years, I could only describe it till today
9:27 Yeah don't mess with spice. There's a wide range of effects. Some are similar to weed, but there's also some that are much more like hard drugs and the labels usually aren't clear about which is which.
Dan Aykroyd only wrote the first draft of Ghostbusters and that draft was as insane as he is. Dan comes from family of real life ghost hunters and mediums so he 100% believes in ghosts, demons, ancient aliens and all that stuff. His version of Ghostbusters would have been way too straight and almost documentarian compared to what we got.
Intermissions would be great. It would have saved me from tripping over several people when Thanos showed up and blew up the Avengers’ base right as I was getting back from the bathroom during Endgame. Lucky for me those people were so into the movie they just helped me get to my seat so I’d get out of the way. 😂
Didn't Tolkien develop his strong feelings about the Beatles' music from having to hear their loud practice sessions when they lived next door or something?
Simon, Rocky Horror Picture Show is a cult classic because it's shit, that's the point...the audience participation & ridiculousness makes the experience entertaining, not the film itself!
The public generally kicking up a stink about the all-girls Ghostbusters before a single frame was seen, is not exactly accurate. That only happened once the early trailers and teasers released, revealing the actual plot, focus and "nature" of the film. While of course there would aways be high expectations and hopes for a sequel of that iconic franchise, so they were at a slight disadvantage of a somewhat high bar, versus a brand new story/franchise - "not being true enough to the originals" wasn't the problem. What pissed people off was that it was glaringly obvious already at the release of those teasers and trailers, that they practically took the piss out of the original franchise, made a mockery of it, and doofus-mary sue'd it up to the max. There's no lacking for great, bad-ass "all girls" movies, that's not the issue, and thry could _definitely_ made it that kind of movie if they actually wanted. But what they did instead - they made the "all girls team" the whole point of the movie, the sole focus. That one element was basically the whole plot. The rather important Ghostbusters bit was IMO seemingly barely a bothersome wrapping.
You've also got to account for the fact that the studio leaned into the reaction so it could brush off any criticism of the movie as being from "The He-Man Woman-hater's club," instead of just sane people saying "This movie doesn't look very funny." Honestly though I've always been baffled at people wanting another ghostbusters movie. One of my earliest theater-going experiences I remember was going to see Ghostbusters II and Star Trek V back to back on the same day, my innocence was lost on that day. But that was most of the people who made the original work coming back a couple years later to make a sequel, and it was awful at worst, and kind of forgettable at the best.
Simon, the one youtuber who actually makes adds entertaining. I enjoy hearing his random tangents and rants that the add triggers almost as much as the rest of the video.
hey, The Crow got released, I can't imagine this won't. Besides, they position this right, as a memorial of sorts, that movie will make money on the emotional impact alone.
@@debshaw680 he’s apparently torn up, but i can’t imagine they scrap everything already done. I genuinely don’t know if it’s better to finish it in her honor, making her death mean something, or if its better to not put the rest of the cast and crew through that. There’s really no right answer, but 8’m interested in seeing what path they take
Also I think that you may not be confusing Dune with a different film but if you are it definitely isn't Firefly because Firefly does not take place in the desert but you're spot on about it being an excellent film and the series was awesome too.
Simons love of Star Trek and passionate dislike of anything magical seem to be disproportional. See Star Trek uses magic quite often and what is Q doing if not magic? Though for some reason Simon is okay with this yet not okay with lord of the rings... Its rather curious if you ask me.

I am not at all surprised. Be funny to have Simon go see it in a small theatre were they act it out live.
Great movie too.
I love how Simon pretty much quoted a song from Lego Movie 2.. "everything can't be awesome all of the time, sometimes okay will do just fine."
Lol. See, Hollywood I'm waiting.
I haven't even started the video but the thumbnail made me hit like
There are a few channels where I always hit like right when I open the video. I don’t even need to see it to know it’s gonna be good
We definitely need that North Korea cut. Maybe make a Patreon for Brain Blaze and release it there!
Damn for that I'd sign up
Who hates The Rocky Picture Horror Show??? Oh, right, it's Simon. Nvm...
He’s not alone 😂
I do as well
You don't know who Terry Gilliam is? A preemptive RIP then for Simon, assassinated by a rabid Monty Python fan. When he is asked by police why he did it, i predict the assassin will simply scream "Ni!".
Fun story, Simon: Dune (2021) is Part One. I'm excited to see Part Two. Total run time, approximately 5 hrs. 🤤
We already have the Richard Sharpe series with the glorious Sean Bean. No need for that frog Napolean to get a series.
It's been a while since I've Blazed but I'm glad to see this channel has been renamed after the only thing that it has less to do with than Business
It is more about business than brain.
Serenity is the film made after firefly the series ended. It is pretty good
Came here to write this exact same thing
I hated the ending tho.
@@debshaw680 same 😪
Fans have decided that Serenity was a dream/nightmare that Mal had when he was unconscious in Out of gas. I like that theory.
@@piperjaycie yup it’s my fave, makes me feel much better inside
I lost it at the Erica with the 3d glasses and popcorn meme
Lol "I don't understand"
Give Sam a raise please
Another slice of bread or two should suffice
The movie I want to see is Topher Grace's edit of the first three Star Wars prequels into one coherent movie. That it exists, and we can't see it isn't fair.
I think we can add Rust to this list.
Well crap you beat me to it. LoL
Damn....
5:25 when i started thinking like that, it made my life feel soo much better. Now it's hard for me to be disappointed in anything i do😀👍
I think movies today don't have intermissions because: 1) long films aren't economically interesting for studios, for them the more sessions the better; and 2) the average moviegoer barely has the discipline to quietly sit and watch a normal-length movie
While his career appears to have died with the "My Stepmother is an Alien" movie, he is still alive.
"I like to think of myself as an optimistic person"
*explains how he is the dictionary definition of a pessimist*
The TH-cam ad for Dune right after Simon said he'd rather watch 2000 poopin extras was *chef's kiss* muah
Positive pessism: assuming shit so sometimes you're pleasantly surprised...
My life's philosophy
This episode really makes me want to see a Q&A on Simon's opinions on Movies/TV/Art. could be a new multipart series. Think about the MONEY Simon! Whether people agree or disagree the comments alone man!
Guess Danny hasn't heard about Ghostbusters Afterlife
The Usual Suspects is such a great film which more people need to watch. Whenever I ask if someone has watched it, they always say no.
Never seen it but I'm assuming its about racism? I don't believe 9/11 happened, how did they build skyscrapers when 1970s iphones were shit
The reoccurring "Daddy, Chill!" And "How Dare You!?" Memes crack me up every time!
Better question. Is -ETA- Charles still alive?
He is currently running the HR department in the basement
You've never heard of Terry Gilliam? The only American member of Monty Python's Flying Circus? And then I remember that their heyday was the late 1960s/early 1970s, way before you were born (I keep having to remind myself that Simon is less than 10 years older than my car.)
Here's a warning about managing your expectations: Dune. Josh Brolin was AMAZING and they finally got the ornithopters right, but otherwise...don't take it out on street junkies like I did. 😣
Almost forgot to ask factboi for an H.R. Giger biographics. I personally think it’d be interesting.
Think we should force Simon to watch Rocky Horror show start to finish!!!!
I have a feeling Simon sits staring at a blank wall and taking about how shit it is. 😆 He doesn’t seem to like any films or tv shows at all.
He does have an absolutely shit taste in movies.
9:27 Yeah don't mess with spice. There's a wide range of effects. Some are similar to weed, but there's also some that are much more like hard drugs and the labels usually aren't clear about which is which.
Yeah, I heard that some dealers call it "the lottery", because you have no idea what it will do to the users.
Someone should make brain blaze the musical. Remix Simon with auto tune to an original score...or get him to sing time warp from RHPS
You should do a blaze about the worst/funniest mistakes made on live tv by news reporters, there are definitely some gems out there!
Terry Gilliam.
Monty Python.
Campy Musical.
Rocky Horror Picture Show.😬
I think you need a 2 week vacay Simon.
Ok?
YOU HAVE TOO MANY CHANNELS.🔥
"Art is whatever you can get away with"... Andy Warhol
Thanks for the free trial, hun. Signed up for Magellan today 😊
@Robert Sears There are far stupider movies that get made every year. Half of all chick flicks aren't necessary. Hallmark movies tend to be crap.
Simon Whistler needs a film review channel.
You've also got to account for the fact that the studio leaned into the reaction so it could brush off any criticism of the movie as being from "The He-Man Woman-hater's club," instead of just sane people saying "This movie doesn't look very funny."
Honestly though I've always been baffled at people wanting another ghostbusters movie.
You think Rocky Horror is bad, you haven't seen Night of the Lepus.
Starting to wonder if Simon actually likes anything......
Star trek, money, his family 🤔oh and KFC
Back to the Future in the order of 2, 1, 3. Man's weird.
Blaze Boy you must release the Korea cut, We need it
Blaze Wars: The Rise of Danny is definitely one movie we're yet to see. We're waiting for you Simon.
Simon, the one youtuber who actually makes adds entertaining. I enjoy hearing his random tangents and rants that the add triggers almost as much as the rest of the video.
Rust, probably. Idk if there was much to miss though.
hey, The Crow got released, I can't imagine this won't. Besides, they position this right, as a memorial of sorts, that movie will make money on the emotional impact alone.
This was my thought exactly.
@@martyvendetta2743 I doubt that will happen. I doubt as the producer, Alex Baldwin is going to want to complete it.
Bring back #OGLC Fact Boi!
Hope is still strong with you, isn't it? By the way, how's your day going?
We need #OGLC back!
@Amber_L We have a gig on friday. And I got infatuated with Boise ID. Beautiful park, amazing view on hills, changing each season.
Hopefully it'll be back. #BringBackOGLC.
@@Robert-zz7qj it will always be strong! My day is much better now that I have seen some of my fellow Legends!
Dali did make one movie. Boy, it is...something
Firefly was a series, I believe the movie was called serinity.
Simons love of Star Trek and passionate dislike of anything magical seem to be disproportional. See Star Trek uses magic quite often and what is Q doing if not magic? Though for some reason Simon is okay with this yet not okay with lord of the rings... Its rather curious if you ask me.
19:34: "In this case, the past was the best."
-Whistler, 2021
Now idk what I want more. The north Korean cut or Simon reacts to LoTR
I miss this look for this channel. The new style you've adopted recently leaves behind the candid and casual feel that led me to Business (um, I mean Brain) Blaze in the first place.
Simon is occasionally insufferable, but Sam makes the videos worth watching.
Pay scale should be like:
Simon 💲
Danny💲💲
Sam💲💲💲
If it's not, it's a terrible injustice!
Okay?
Terry Gilliam (hard G like in God because he is one) is a dead set genius of surreal satire.
Simon:. "It's time for me to write scripts for Hollywood."
Also Simon: hires Danny to write scripts for his own videos. 😅
