The coachman takes the boys to pleasure island, the boys all eventually get turned into donkeys and sold. Except pinoccio who gets away. Lampwick was the boy playing pool with pinoccio.
The part of the story where Pinocchio and Lampwick turn into donkeys is even scarier in the original story. They turn into donkeys to be sold into slavery for mining. On the way to the mine Pinocchio goes overboard and is swallowed by a whale, he finds his father in the belly of the whale. It gets more depressing from there. Gotta love old time kid's stories.

Children's movies are indeed messed up but guess what, Simon? Soon you'll have seen them all. I think in most cases kids don't internalize creepiness the way adults do. Watching Lampwick turn into a donkey didn't bother me in the least until I was an adult. The Brave Little Toaster in an absolute treat, but there's some parts that are super dark. Maybe watch it yourself before deciding to let your daughter see it. Oh and for ducks sake, you need to see the Muppet Xmas Carol and all the other Muppet movies especially the older ones and the Muppet Show. Kids love the Muppets. So do I.
Don't forget "Fraggle Rock"... or "The Dark Crystal"... obviously with some degree of parental timing involved, but don't forget them.. ...and for the record... I could'a done without "Watership Down" at least for a couple more years... or maybe just under supervision... That's not something a 4 year old needs to sit through all alone... ;o)

Rothko paintings are pretty cool if you see them in person because of the sheer scale. The Rothko room at the Tate in London is almost intimidating because of the size and dark colours covering almost all the wall space.
My husband insists on watching all the credits because several of his favorite movies have a little something extra after the credits. And when my younger sister and I were leaving the theater after Star Trek: The Motion Picture, she asked me, "What was that?" I had to confess ignorance.
Regarding the experimental film: What if the guy saying "Now I Get It".. was supposed to do that? Because the point of the film was that uncomfortable laugh, and a lifetime of remembrance. Brain16 because I guess your viewers are solid subscribers when they sign up. Moving up, Fact Boi. Moving up.

I come for the tangents, memes, and fart noises. And the long introductions and random dark asides from Danny. Also, I love Callum's and Kevin's sick sense of humor. Jen and Sam are amazing. I am made of tangents. If someone asks me what I'm thinking about, I can talk for an hour about nothing and everything. I remember Rubber. I watched that and Human Centipede at like 5X speed and skipped around and slowed down if I saw something interesting. My husband got me a Human Centipede card for Valentine's Day one year. For me it's on the level of the weird dead animal cards people sent each other back in the day. Humans do absurd things to amuse ourselves, and humans that come after us are like wtf were they doing? I often wonder if the "ritual" artifacts (if not sex toys) recovered from dig sites or archives aren't usually humans just messing around being weird and silly.
It would have been so cool if, in Jaws: The Revenge, they would have had Ellen Brodie on a plane for the Bahamas and we see the shark come in wearing sunglasses and sit down a few rows back. Then, he puts a newspaper up, like he's reading it, to hide his face.
Or, there could have been a scene where the shark decides he's had it with the Brodies and goes on vacation to get away from them. They both show up in the Bahamas and the shark is like, "That's it! I've had it!"
Literally been watching these for a year and had no idea Peter was a plant until just now. I always assumed "Peter" was just supposed to be anyone in the audience who happened to be named Peter and Simon was just messing with them like how John Lennon did in that one interview.
Your rambling IS the show, whistle boi. Roll with it. I always look forward to you yelling at Peter. I find myself saddened when you close an episode without it. 🤙🏾
I like that Simon is the Disney Pinokio scared the shit out of him, while the original book ending was like, and Pinokio was hanged for his crimes, the end. Before the publisher made the author change it for marketing reasons.
Totally agreed on the 3-D movie thing, but those Pixar animated movies and whatnot really are actually pretty badass in 3-D. Simon'll probably ALMOST enjoy taking his kids to them. 😅
29:30 there is, in fact, an artist who does that. To be specific, she drinks dyed milk, and then pukes it back up onto giant canvases. Yes it 100% was Pinocchio that you were remembering, the point of that part of that part of the story was supposed to be "Drinking and smoking can turn anyone into a Jackass"

lol nice to see Sam pulling stuff from video games leading to my laughing so hard my wife comes from the other side of the house to investigate. PS: 47 minutes and 20 seconds of my life gone and i am completely OK with it.
I thought 'Rubber' was quietly hilarious. And Holy Mountain is a riot if you're on the same amount of drugs as the people who made it. Rather like Barbarella though for different reasons. The movies I can't believe get made are usually kids movies, ie ones where animals excel at sports. There was one about a monkey who wins a downhill ski tournament. There was a movie in the 1970s starring Don Knotts about a high school football coach who finds a donkey who can kick field goals in football. Makes wonder about the movies that were pitched and didn't get made.
As "cute" as a somehow intelligent VW Beetle might be, it's a dubious concept at best, and lends at least some credibility to questioning the sanity of anyone at a studio that would "green light" such a thing... BUT I've (regretably) sat through "The Killer Eyeball from Outer Space"... in which not only did it not seem to kill anyone, the thing was more of a tentacular rape-monster than much of a violent... well... anything... if memory serves (and it better, because I already resent the time I've wasted on that thing, and I refuse to watch it again)... SO yeah... There is INDEED a solid reason for questioning "What the HELL got pitched that didn't get made???" ;o)
It's called the brave little toaster and, even though I am not a Disney fan, I love that movie. It's a kids movie but it deals with some fairly serious thematic elements
The eye that is cut in the famous surrealist movie you mentioned is actually an animal eye. That was revealed in court cases, when the film was nearly or actually banned. Sheep's eye are a Middle Eastern delicacy. Salvidor Dali wrote a recipe book! He also had a perfume range.

As a kid I had a school friend at a party who was terrified of clown balloons. But she wasn't scared of clowns, she was scared because she'd seen the Blue Meanies in Yellow Submarine. So even good films can mess you up as a child. As for Pinocchio Disney films are littered with weird old fashioned values and morals, and many books and fairytales for children written in pasted times are very dark and full of horrid beliefs.

Potty training is worth it in the end. Granted, the time taken to change diapers is now to help your child make on the potty, but they get better at it eventually. They might even start washing their hands unprompted! You never know!
Fun anecdote about Pinocchio. When we watched it in 1st grade, the teacher actually STOPPED the movie right before the turning-into-donkeys scene, not because it was scary, but because the naughty boy says, "What do I look like, as jackass?" Because that was profanity, the teacher had to explain that he was a NAUGHTY boy, and we should never say what he was about to say. Innocent little me didn't comprehend what profanity was (my family very strictly never cursed) so I didn't get what was so bad that the teacher had to give a warning. A jackass was an animal, and yes, he was turning into one. I didn't get it, and that's what stuck in my mind. What was so naughty? Oh, the innocence of youth!

So do I.
#neverforget "Happy Tree Friends" DVD's are always in the child movie sections.......
He needs to watch rave little toaster though, that was a fav of mine the AC scene and the appliance repair scene terrified me
Don't forget "Fraggle Rock"... or "The Dark Crystal"... obviously with some degree of parental timing involved, but don't forget them..
...and for the record... I could'a done without "Watership Down" at least for a couple more years... or maybe just under supervision... That's not something a 4 year old needs to sit through all alone... ;o)
You have excellent taste 🤘
Brave little toaster was one of my favourite movies as a kid, now as an adult I can’t bring myself to throw broken electronics out, I must fix them 😂
Simon, we love it when you ramble on. We need you to ramble on. Led zeppelin said it best,
"I guess I keep on rambling.
I'm gonna, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Sing my song, I gotta find my baby.
I gotta ramble on..." so ramble on my dear Simon 🥰❤
Simon is king, Simon is a Legend
Oh my god, Sam’s use of “You’re tacky and I hate you” 😂🙌
@4:12
The memes on this one are LEGENDARY. Can't get enough, thanks Sam 🎉
Most of us are absolutely here for your ramblings! Glad you're back 🥰
22:45 😂 I'm dead
This
Danny's 'bad time to yell cut' joke right at the end had me chuckling. well done
I’m here for ADHD Simon - you’re relatable and hilarious
Simon, your rambling is absolutely wonderful and makes me smile and laugh every time. Please never stop, it’s what makes your shows so lovely and honestly nobody else could do it justice. ❤️
It's Pinocchio when he turned to a donkey... though the Dumbo dancing elephants was also terrifying. Also scared me as a kid.
I still can't watch this film. I actually have to send my 2 and 4 year olds to my mums house to watch it 😂😂 .
Rothko paintings are pretty cool if you see them in person because of the sheer scale.
The Rothko room at the Tate in London is almost intimidating because of the size and dark colours covering almost all the wall space.
I think most of us are here for your rambles keep up the great work this show has created a dedicated fan base.
I watch this channel for the rambling and tangents! Love your other channels, but it’s so relaxing to listen to the rambling.
You definitely have to see Muppets Christmas Carol. It is one of their best movies and you can tell Michael Caine had an awesome time.
My husband insists on watching all the credits because several of his favorite movies have a little something extra after the credits. And when my younger sister and I were leaving the theater after Star Trek: The Motion Picture, she asked me, "What was that?" I had to confess ignorance.
Regarding the experimental film:
What if the guy saying "Now I Get It".. was supposed to do that? Because the point of the film was that uncomfortable laugh, and a lifetime of remembrance.
Brain16 because I guess your viewers are solid subscribers when they sign up. Moving up, Fact Boi. Moving up.
I ONLY watch this channel and CC from you, but I listen or watch to every single video on both channels with notification bell and stuff, usually at work downloaded. Ramble on, rambler.
100% with you about Pinocchio, the whale scene scared me until I reached my teens. Many nightmares were fueled by that movie.
Rambles that show you as a devoted dad.... terrific! Btw: I watch *all* the credits if it's a good film.
I am so happy to see these back! I hope you had an excellent holiday
The Littlest Hobo was a Canadian 30 minute show about a husky mix who goes from town to town helping people who are in trouble. Great Canadian Content - like The Racoons!! 🇨🇦
Business blaze is my favourite channel simon does always happy when i see a video in the sub feed
Here for the fact boi stories, rants, tangents etc! Love Danny's stories too.
BB is your best channel because of the energy and ranting. Don’t ever stop.
I am SOOOOOO happy to hear that the Littlest Hobo made it outside of Canada!!😀 It was filmed in my hometown and I loved it when growing up!!
Jennifer I’m in Australia and it was big here too!🤗
Simon just completely missed the traction pun while reading about the rubber movie
He would also have needed the Hannibal lecter fedora too. "Just having an old friend for dinner...."
Sam, these memes, *Chef's Kiss* So good.
Also, I highly recommend watching Rubber, for the sheer insanity of watching a tire think a person into an explosion.
I cannot for the life of me remember her name, but I'm sure you can find her on TH-cam since she records the creation of her pieces as performance art.
Edit: Millie Brown
What the fu......?
That seems exceedingly unpleasant.
Eeww, yuck, gross, and the small...
This is what I need after a shite day at work. More blaze plz!
Hope today is a better day. Positive vibes from New Hampshire, remember to be kind to each other and yourself during this pandemic and social crisis
You're getting pretty good at saying Brain Blaze! Good job, Fact Boi!
Yes it 100% was Pinocchio that you were remembering, the point of that part of that part of the story was supposed to be "Drinking and smoking can turn anyone into a Jackass"
EDIT: It's totally Debaser by The Pixies you're right and I totally tried answering that before finishing the video lol
I am 100% here for Factboi's rambles. Well, like 75% for Factboi, 10% for memelord Sam, 10% for Danny's weird stories of Rotherham and Johnny Sausage, and 5% for content and useful stuff.
The Muppet Christmas Carol is actually a great movie.
Blaze idea:
Faktboi Rambling Rampage.
Danny writes a script filled with things he knows/assumes will trigger Simon. No coherent topic just stuff Simon can't resist to 'comment' and I guess Sam will be forced to go crazy xD
lol nice to see Sam pulling stuff from video games leading to my laughing so hard my wife comes from the other side of the house to investigate. PS: 47 minutes and 20 seconds of my life gone and i am completely OK with it.
Never let "am I right Peter" die
Saw the title, immediately thought of Rubber. Great film if your in the right frame of mind.
You think too highly of us that we want the content and facts and such on Brain Blaze. Over half of us are here for your stories, ramblings, and the little snippets of you and your captive writers lives
I feel so validated that I’m not the only one traumatized from Pinocchio. That shit was terrifying!
Simon: I didn't really have a Christmas break, instead I just mostly cleaned a lot of child piss
Simon wondering if wife watches the video: WHICH WAS FUN, I SWEAR, LET'S CHANGE THE TOPIC
Thank you for that Yellow Turban DW3 meme. Brought back hilarious memories. 😄
Yesssss blaze time ❤️ watching the cancellation of a cash craven soul in real time

They are one of the best concerts, you can not go but just seeing them from the screen, I know it was surprising
💗❤️💌💘
Oh, we are ABSOLUTELY here for your rambles. As well as the scheduled content.
Fast and Furious should have ended after Paul Walker's death. The end of the 6th movie was a perfect send-off. But money lol. And now they're absolute garbage not even made for a western audience. The last movie made way more internationally than at home, with the vast majority of international sales coming from China. That's why John Cena apologized in mandarin for calling Taiwan a country. Couldn't lose out on the target market.
Yes Pinocchio. My middle son was terrified of the bizarre elephants dancing scene in Dumbo.
look forward to these videos every week

As a kid I had a school friend at a party who was terrified of clown balloons. But she wasn't scared of clowns, she was scared because she'd seen the Blue Meanies in Yellow Submarine. So even good films can mess you up as a child.
As for Pinocchio Disney films are littered with weird old fashioned values and morals, and many books and fairytales for children written in pasted times are very dark and full of horrid beliefs.
Still no 300K subs? This is definitively a curse by the Vatican
Absolutely lost it at the Skeletor meme. Didn't see it coming and I should know better by now! Later, Simon performing the ".....No." meme himself, then almost leaving frame when describing the holy pilgrimage and saying "Just going for my coffee". 😂😂 Ah sh!+....!
Mate i remember that"Bedknobs and Broomsticks" used to fk me up as a kid. Idk why just a creepy film for sure. Great video Sir Simon. As always. TH-cam land would be a miserable dreary dreadful place to be without you, Good Sir. 👍😎👍
I LOVED Bedknobs and Broomsticks. I still remember the words to all the songs.
@@roxannepearls901 oh wow Roxanne. Idk why it used to freak me out so bad but it sure did. Lol its been so long since ive seen it. And Watership Down was great. Willow. All those old good movies.
_Bobbing along, bobbing along at the bottom of the beautiful briny sea..._
Gotta love movies made for kids about Nazis and the kids don't understand any of that plot at all.
Hey, Simon! Just a sponsor note. Hello Fresh is awesome!!! We get to try great recipes, an excellent variety, and it’s super tasty!
that song is Debaser by Pixies
(lets see if he remembers it 2 mins after I post this comment halfway through the video)
Dude! It's Pinocchio! That scene scared the absolutel hell out of me as a kid! I honestly think I haven't seen that movie in 20 years but I still think about that scene on a fairly regular basis
Simon - it was Pinocchio you are thinking of… they were turning into literal “jackasses” (or donkeys)…..
Thank you Simon! Your attempts at remembering a song cracked something loose in my head regarding a song I have been trying to recall the name of for literal YEARS! So THANK you, you beautiful bald beast you!
The song is Battle Flag by Lo Fidelity Allstars for anyone that is curious as to what song it might be.
😂 a lot of kids movies are horrifying. It builds character
