- Nissan's 2018 Micra S is as bare bones as new cars come. Boasting manual windows, door locks, side mirrors, a 5-speed manual gearbox (there's a 4-speed auto available) no back up camera and absolutely zero frills, this car is at the height of "just get me from A to B because functionality is at the top of my list."
While many Micra drivers will opt for higher trim levels, for those who want a car to simply be an effective means of transportation, the Micra S is for you.
Chugging away via a 1.6L 4-cylinder engine with 109 horsepower and 107 lb-ft. of torque, you still get nearly 1,000 litres of cargo space with the rear seats folded and fuel efficiency for L/100 km rings in at 6.8 Highway 8.7 City.

"Shutter windows?" I've never heard that term used to refer to these old school hand-cranked windows. Google the term and not a thing having to do with cars will come up. The Nissan Owners' Manual uses the words: "Manual Windows: The side windows can be opened or closed by turning the hand crank on each door." I just have never heard or read anyone ever use that term and I've been around cars for decades.
This is a great car but add 30% to the price for the crappy 4 speed automatic and your playing on a whole new field

What surprises me is the fact that the Micra doesn't use the 1.2 3 cylinder like it's European counterpart. The 4 cylinder offers no benefit when it comes to acceleration as it weighs more. Why not just stick to the 3 cylinder and achieve better gas mileage
It has the same specs as a base 92 Toyota Corolla

Nissan's website under specs for this Micra S says A/C is optional but A/C can't be found under Build and Price.
That's odd...not sure why that is.

A/C is available on an S model. For an additional cost, a Micra S with four speed automatic includes air conditioning and cruise control.
You're just a kid, when I was your age manufacturers were still using "no draft vents" in the door. A small pane of glass with a lock at the front of the window door frame. LOL
My Grandpa used those to ash his cigars. He’d leave the other windows up so not to mess up my Grammy’s hair. The whole car would be nice cloud

It does not....bare bones here.
Cruise, yes, but not good for carrying a crew of more than 2.
Lol not sure if it has an arm rest or radio either
@@michaelsuzio7861 it doesn't come with an armrest but there are aftermarket ones for around $80 that fasten to the rear cupholder. There's is also a radio, but you only get tw speakers to listen to it up front instead of four around the whole car.
