I picked up a 2015 Micra coming off a lease with low kilometres. So far, I'm quite happy with my purchase. This car suits my minimalist values and is actually fun to drive.

Have a 2015 micra sv since new, 330,000 kms on it now, other than regular oil changes i have only had to replace the starter, the battery, do the brakes twice, 2 sets of snow tires and 3 sets of summer tires, its been a great car for the money.

I bought 2019 Nissan Micra SV in 2019. I just needed a car to get me from A to B. This is a great car to start off and has a lot of power for its size. It's extremely zippy!! As a father of two younglings, this car is able to fit two baby/kids seats at the back with plenty of space. The car is a lot more spacious than it appears to be!! Many parents in my city use this car 👍 and only $40 for a full tank of gas ⛽️. I am greatgul for this vehicle.

I own a 2008 Toyota Yaris. Today I took one of these Micra S's out for a test drive Unfortunately they only had the automatic available. It beat the Yaris hands down. I want one. But I want it with the manual 5 speed.
I got my Micra last year and I love it. I got it before Canada discontinue it
I picked up a 2019 Micra S Automatic in March brand new in Toronto. I could have gotten the SV with more bells and whistles but I find that the S is much better for personal customization. For around $80 CDN on Amazon I got a centre console with multiple USB ports that fits perfectly with tons of storage into the centre cup holder since there is no seat attached arm rest. You have to cut and get rid of the seat attached arm rest on the SV or SR which is a pretty invasive process. For $70 good quality padded seat covers, $40 leather steering wheel cover and $40 Michelin floor mats really made a difference. All I needed was a reliable and affordable, small, non-CVT automatic vehicle with A/C, cruise control and backup camera. I'm keeping my existing 2005 Toyota Echo Hatchback which is in good shape for winter driving with 225,000 km. Manual transmission with no a/c and no cruise. A/C in the Micra sure made a huge difference with temperatures around 35 C lately. Coincidentally, both of my cars are Canada only models and not available in the US.
Great review, thanks. having same size car even without traction control I can say it has great soft offroad capabilities in the forest or in winter. Of cource no rock-climbing but I newer stuck in sand or mud if only slightly using my head to think about the right way to go)
I love the micra I'm definitely getting one there just brilliant there very reliable the engines are brilliant I know someone that has 196 thousand kms on the clock still runs like new
Neil Murphy I’m in Mexico and I’ve had a Micra K13 since 2011 and it’s has never ever broken down on me or left me stranded. The HR16DE Can take a beating and still be reliable.

Went to a Nissan dealer in Belgium today to look at some cars & see what'd fit me after switching jobs & losing my company car.
Never would've thought I would walk out as the proud owner of a 2019 Micra (The EU model)!
I honestly was skeptical about it, drums/little puny engine/etc; price was good tho like € 15000 good for a mid-trim one with only ~120 km on it (basically new)
Got offered a test drive and .. well I'm sold; this comes from someone who had the pleasure to drive a Mercedes A180d as a company car for about half a year. (Pre facelift, 2015 model)
It honestly is better interior wise than some of that car, granted it has less "oumph" at low RPM but tachin' it up makes it feel nippy & happy.
In short, this .. whatever it is is fun! (Can you tell by the way I'm writing this comment)
Seriously, I don't care about people looking at me while driving (did I mention it's like .. red lol) I'll be looking them dead in the eye .. mashing the gas with bluetooth music banging and me having a big *big* smile on my face =)
For a brand new car, I got one killer deal; tip for anyone looking to buy a car, go to a dealer and try it. Maybe you'll even get lucky and can buy a demo car with a € 4750 discount lol

That appears to be a surprising change this year. A manual transmission was available on all three trims in 2018.

I have a Micra S 2019 love it, really smooth driving but the seats fabric feels cheap and looks like it will tear with time , we'll see
100% agree. Just test drove one and said the same thing
I'd still go for the S since I can't drive without a manual transmission. Too bad I live in the US and they don't sell Micra here 😢😢. But I got a 2020 Soul with the 6 speed manual that Kia was still kind enough to offer here. I know comparing apples to oranges but the Soul was only 14k usd on the dealer lot, and still fun to drive

Yeah it’s incredibly easy and cheap to find parts for the K13 Micra, you’ll find them almost everywhere online so you’re not out of luck.
They used to be a firm favorite of the driving school. It difficult to see who would by them even the 5 generation, people will buy clios or dacia sanderos which are based on left over from the renualt and nissan part bin and are cheapest cars in uk Fiat 500 have taken the female drivers who like the quirky looks of previous generation, ot driving school have jumped ship to the kia and hyundais or ford and opel/vauxhall corsa
