Good stuff Travis. I'll be there in February staying in a serviced apt. within My Anh. I could have saved hours of research had I had this info! Thanks man.
Hey Travis 👋, THANKS. Your videos always covers the topics I need to know😁. Great content always👍. How do you go about hiring a house cleaner/caregiver ? Are there agencies that vet staff ? Also, can you review more apartments (1-2 bedrooms) $300-500.00 Blessings and Abundance 🇯🇲
I appreciate the message. There is an app called "btaskee" you can hire house cleaners very easily. I'll definitely do an updated apt rental video soon
Thanks mate, youve no idea what your and others Vids on Nam mean to me!. I'm coming from the UK in late Jan with a view to retiring there. There for a month for a look around. I want a life outside the city is that a decent option for me?
Appreciate the message mate. I hope the weather will be decent by the end of January. You should spend a few days in Hoi An as well. Very chill and relaxed there. You might like it a little better or you might be fine with Da Nang.
Do you have a Facebook community group ? We are coming in February but not sure how we will do the stays , maybe different hotels or if there are villas on the beach available 🤷♂️
I've got a travel group you can check out. I can give you some recommendations for stays. Only really big, expensive villas in Da Nang but plenty of great, cheap hotels. There are some villas in Hoi An if you wanted to do a few days there. www.skool.com/travel-vietnam/about
Yes of course. When are you coming? You should check out the travel group, has everything you need to get settled in and I'll help you find a good place. www.skool.com/travel-vietnam/about
🤔2:10 I do have to ask;as you're marketing this to foreigners, are you not unwittingly or otherwise making the cost of renting fir the local Vietnamese people who have historically lived in areas like DaNang, `difficult`? Locals won't have the spendable income foreigners may have. In time that can lead to resentment 🙁. That has happened in places like Devon and Cornwall intje UK, island of Malta, as well as Hawaii of the United States.
Danang is a city of about 1 million locals with a small number of tourists and a very small number of long term foreigners. From what I've seen rents (and food and cafes etc) are quite controlled in the local market and I doubt if the small number of foreigners would have much impact anyway. This is part of it's appeal for us. We feel like we can enjoy an affordable genuine local economy, unlike the much more inflated prices of the likes of Bali or Thailand.
@Kiwi-Macca I think govt needs to intervene. When these are undertaken by others to western nations it creates unrest. Because it may be beneficial to 'us' does not render it 'wholly' beneficial to locals. 😢
I am scared of da nag after a lady on another youtuber channel said a motorcyle drove by her grabbed her bag and she fell on the ground and got dragged by accident since the bag was still attached to her body and she ended in the hospital How bad is crime in da nang? During the daytime?

Hello Travis. I arrive to DaNang today. I am staying at Draco Hotel for a few days. I am from Toronto Canada and I am looking for one studio apartment for three months. You said that you could set me with a local agent that you know. I need your help if you could put me contact with an agent. My name is J. Guy Lacroix. Thanks
Come on dude, do some proper research before making a video like this. There is no such thing as a property tax based on the ground floor width. It's just an urban myth invented to explain why there are so many tube houses in vietnam 😅
Thanks for this post! I've been on the hunt for an apartment for over a month.
Chuc Mung Nam Moi Travis. Good to see you going through the process of making it in life.
Thanks for the support buddy.

Is this a repost? I feel like I already watched this video.
Yes I originally posted a few days ago but had to make a minor adjustment
@TravisTravelsVN Ok. I still gave it another like. Keep up the good work.
Re-post
Thanks again!
Thank you for the information
Thank you for putting this together and for your effort. Very helpful. Are houses as safe as condos? 🙏🏼
Houses and condos are both safe in Da Nang. Most houses have a big outer gate you can lock.
Very nice - I will be there next month - have business in Hanoi tho 😅
Thank you
You are a treasure find!

You have a great house. I could easily be happy there.
Thanks!
This question is off topic for this video. That being said: Do you know the pollution level/water quality of the ocean at the beach?

@@TravisTravelsVN Thanks man, i'll add that to my list. Not worried on the weather, I'll take it as it comes.

Can I do a 6 month lease if I only have 3 month visa but plan on leaving and returning same day with new visa? Does that make sense?
jeah no problem I have done that many times. you keep the key, go on a visa run and just return to your apartment
@ thanks!

Crime in Vietnam is basicly none existence. You have greater odds of hitting the mega jackpot than get robbed in Vietnam.
