  • In this Video I explain How You can Move to Saipan, I go through a lot of the things you have to think about, and things you can do to prepare yourself to make the Move to Saipan.
    ONE VERY IMPORTANT STEP I FORGOT TO MENTION IN THE VIDEO
    is the Governor's Paperwork for Covid:
    governor.gov.mp/covid-19/travel/
    You will need to fill out that paperwork before boarding the Plane in the US.
    If you do not, they may not let you get on the Plane to leave the US.
    In this Video I reference Triple B Forwarding is the primary Shipping Company that Ships stuff into Saipan, Their Phone Number is:
    1-310-604-5840
    Their e-mail address is: USCS@tripleb.com
    (I am not getting any kind of compensation from them for this, this is purely for your information.)
    I also referenced My other Video that talks about WHY I Moved to Saipan
    which you can check out here:

    Great video. Lots of info. I lived there years ago. Bought a 150cc scooter, rode it year round. The locals raise their children to show respect. I think that is one reason why Saipan is so good. I think a lot like you. What I worry about is the price of beer. What's the price for a case of Bud?

    • @marksawesomeadventures
      @marksawesomeadventures  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I haven't checked the Price of Bud, I normally don't drink it, but most American "Domestic" Beer is usually Cheaper than what I drink which is Mexican Beer which is considered "Imported" Saipan is a US Territory, so Beer made in the US does not have to pay Import Tax, which makes it Cheaper than most other Beers.

    Love your video. I am 65 and have savings, retired from the gaming industry, until Best Sunshine reopens( when and if) I plan never to go back… What if they cut off all the territories financially, militarily, ect? I want to use Saipan to jump to Australia.. I want to live there for at least a year. Maybe more.. and a place to decompress from all the nonsense after 42 years of living in Las Vegas..Any advice is TRULY APPRECIATED 🙏🏻❤️

      I am not really a Financial Advisor, but if I were you I would carefully consider WHERE you have your "Savings" at this Time, many of the Small Banks are Collapsing, and many people are Losing a lot of money. 8 Banks Collapsed last month and 2 Banks Collapsed before that. The Rest of the World is shifting to the BRICS System, what this means is the U.S. is no longer #1. This is going to cause an Economic Crash, it has already started just watch the Stock Market. The point I am trying to make, is you are assuming everything is always going the be the way it has always been, and nothing is further from the Truth! We are going through a MAJOR Economic Shift, and most often anytime the U.S. Dominance is Threatened, the War Mongers in the U.S. have only ONE Solution,... WAR.
      This means the only thing on the U.S. Government's Mind right now is WAR. They have no other Option. If the U.S Loses (WWIII) all the Concerns you mentioned are going to be the LEAST of your Worries. You are going to be worrying about EATING. Not traveling to Australia. Unless you happen to make it to Australia before the sh#t hits the fan, but you need to Understand Australia is #2 on China's Sh#t List. So if everyone start firing Missiles, Australia is GOING to get Hit! So is the Mainland U.S.
      Saipan might possibly get taken over by the Chinese, but I don't think that is going to be the First thing on their Minds. I could be RUSSIA'S idea to take over Saipan. They are more likely to do it before the Chinese make a Move. The people I see coming here are ready for anything, most of them Love Asians, and Love the island, and if everything goes to hell here we can fish for food. I anticipate the CNMI WILL Break away from the U.S. Eventually, but at this point it seems like they are only thinking about it Casually not seriously yet. They are building a U.S. Military Base on Tinian Island, so the U.S. Military Presence in the Region is INCREASING not Decreasing, but that's because they are gearing up for War with China. They just built a New Marine Base on Guam as well. They Reopened Bases in the Philippines. If the U.S. Loses the War then these Islands will be controlled by Someone else. Another point to consider is the U.S. just hit the Debt Ceiling which means the U.S. is BROKE Financially. Which is also going to cause a Collapse. If they Raise the Debt Ceiling it will cause more inflation and you Savings won't be worth Half as much as it was before. There is also the possibility they will cancel Retirement Benefits when things get tough, it's not like they never talked about it before. What I am trying to say is, don't think things are going to remain the same as they always have been. You might be extremely disappointed if you do. Also Don't buy Gold and Bring it here, because I tried to Sell some Gold and Silver here, and no one wanted to Buy it!! The Pawn Shops offered me $150 for a Quarter Ounce of Gold!! AND they Insisted on Drilling Through it before they even decided if they wanted to Buy it or not. The Pawn shops didn't even WANT Silver at any Price. If you are planning on coming here you have to Prepare for the Worst, but Expect the Best.
      That's all I can say.
      Thanks for Watching.

    Do you find the bug level to be at a moderate rate? Are you able to pick fruit along the island? Is the ocean water cool or warm?

    • @marksawesomeadventures
      @marksawesomeadventures  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The Bug level is tolerable except right before Sunset the bugs go nuts and attack you. If you ride a Bike you need to keep your mouth Closed or you will suck a lot of Bugs especially around Sunset time. During the day though it's not bad. As the wind picks up and the Temp cools down there are less Bugs. You can pick Fruit if you can FIND IT, most of the time the Fruit Trees that are Wild have small Fruit, but sometimes if your lucky you can find some. Coconuts are pretty easy to find. The Ocean is Warm in the Summer, and Cool in the Winter time. November to April is like the best time of the Year, Summer gets really hot, but the Water gets really nice then.

      Okay first thing that comes to mind is how do you plan on Making a Living? Because the only "Off Grid" area that I know of is on the top of the Mountain. Watch my Waserek Road Hike Video. So if you are on the Top of the Mountain how are you going to get Food? You can't just Camp on the beach in Saipan. They will not allow that anywhere. If you cannot afford a couple hundred dollars for Rent for an Apartment, you probably should not come to Saipan.

    Mark, Do you know of a cheaper way to fly to Saipan than direct from San Diego?

    • @mark-evans
      @mark-evans ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I didn't fly out from San Diego, I took a Train to LA and flew out from LA. One thing I want to mention is that if you do not have a Source of INCOME, Do not Come here!! There are NO JOBS!! This is a U.S. Territory, but all the Jobs or should I say MOST of the Jobs are done by foreign workers who come from the Philippines, and China, and Korea, these people accept very harsh working conditions, and work for Slave Wages and put up with unimaginable abuse from Employers. Even IF you were able to get a Job here you would Hate it, if you were able to handle the working conditions the Co-workers would act so Racist against you, they would try to make you Quit so they could get one of their Friends who is a Foreign Citizen to get the Position. This Island is completely DOMINATED by Foreign Workers which makes the Employers Ruthless, because they can get away with so much more abuse because the Foreign worker is always held in fear of being sent back to their Home Country. DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A SOLID SOURCE OF INCOME!! And I MEAN IT!! (I only mentioned this because you were worried about the Price of getting here which makes me think you might not have enough money. )

      The best suggestion I could give you is to go to your Facebook account, look for GROUPS, Subscribe to ALL the "Saipan Buy & Sell" Groups, all the housing Rentals are Posted in those Groups. Facebook is the ONLY thing I think the people use here on the Island for Apt and Housing Rentals. The Price is going to be based on How NICE of a Place you Want. I Looked at a Huge House when I first Got here for $600 a month, No AC, but it was really run down and needed a LOT of Work. The Kagman area is probably going to be the Cheapest area to look, but you are going to need a Car.

    • @marksawesomeadventures

      Watch my 4th of July Parade Video you can see the Farmer's Float with all their Fruits. Most Food here is NOT CHEAP because this is an Island. Everything is Imported. The Local Food is more Expensive not cheaper because it is Fresh.
      There is no Charge for being on the Beach, but all the Land in Saipan is Owned by the Chamorros so you technically have to get Permission from the Land Owner to Camp on their Property. You can set up a Tent on Government Park Property just for the Weekend not to Sleep over in.
      During the Weekends lot of people set up Tents for Picnics but not so much for Camping, some people do spend the whole Weekend at the Beach, but you can't like Camp out like a Homeless indefinitely sooner or later someone is going to move you.
      The Government Built lots of Pavilions for Weekend Parties, I did a Video just last week at one of the Pavilions, and if you watch my "Island Stylin" Video I go all the way down the Beach on a Sunday, so you can see EXACTLY what it looks like on the Beach on a Sunday.

If you have money to pay your Rent and Buy Food, Mexico is a great place to live. Mexico will allow U.S. Citizens to live there (With a 6 Month renewable Visa) and I met a Couple Ex-Mafia people from the U.S. when I was living in Mexico. The main things to understand about Saipan is there is very few Jobs, and very few Legal Age Women, because as soon as the Women reach College age their Families give them money to Leave the Island and they never come back. Watch my Taste of Marianas Video or my Liberation Day Video, and you can see most of the Women are young, there are no Older Women here. So that means if you don't have a Woman, you might not find one here, and you could be alone for a very long time. I have been here 2 years and not a SINGLE DATE YET! Think about that. @marksawesomeadventures  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I was Certified in Computer Repair in 1996, since then I have had a lot of experience and I have had to keep learning more and more every year. In Saipan I offered my Services to everyone, I had a Website, I emailed out flyers, talked to friends. NOT ONE PERSON wanted my Services in Saipan, Not one Business wanted my Services in Saipan.
      So even if you have enough to set up a Business, doesn't mean they will accept you.
      Saipan is kinda Racist, so they don't like the idea of an American coming over and Succeeding at ANYTHING in Saipan.
      You will be the LAST person they call.
      So if you are going to set up a Business, you will need to Structure it so that your Clients are in the U.S. OR you have to do something that literally takes advantage of the people, like Buy and Sell for example.
      If you set up a Construction business for example, why will they choose your business instead of hiring a Filipino?

    • @marksawesomeadventures
      @marksawesomeadventures  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      YES! I talk about doing that in the Video, Triple B Forwarding is the Company that will ship to Saipan. I think I put their Phone Number in the Description notes of that Video. Personally I think you would be better off Selling off everything, and only shipping things that you cannot Replace. Because a lot of things you don't want to Ship anyways. Many times U.S. Customs will tear open Containers because they think people are shipping Drugs or something. If you Ship a Bed Frame with Hollow Posts in it for example, your Container could get ripped apart just because of that. If you ship a Box of Household Cleaning items, your Container could get Ripped apart. If you ship ANYTHING Food Related your Container will get Ripped apart. Containers are going to cost you a lot of money, like around Ten Thousand or more. It's much better to sell everything off and Buy New once you get here. You can buy anything you need off the Internet and have it shipped here, if it is Coming from China it will arrive here Faster than in the U.S. If you ship anything, you have to Itemize EVERY SINGLE THING in EACH BOX. And provide a List of everything in each Box. You need to do your Research to find out what is Restricted by U.S. Customs. Even though you are Shipping Technically "Domestic" this Location is Treated as an International Location.

    • @marksawesomeadventures
      @marksawesomeadventures  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Political Status
      The Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI) emerged from the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands (TTPI) which the United States administered on behalf of the United Nations from 1947 until Palau, the last member of the TTPI to choose its own political future, became an independent country 1994. The Federal law (the Covenant) making the CNMI a U.S. territory passed in 1975. The CNMI adopted its constitution in 1977, and its first constitutional government took office in 1978. The CNMI came under Federal minimum wage regulations in 2007 and immigration law in 2008. In June 2009, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security takes over the CNMI's immigration and border controls.
      The "Covenant to Establish a Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands in Political Union with the United States of America," Pub. L. No. 94-241, 90 Stat. 263, provides that, upon termination of the governing United Nations Trusteeship Agreement, the Northern Mariana Islands would become a self-governing commonwealth in political union with, and under the sovereignty of, the United States. The question presented is whether the United States obtained paramount rights in, and powers over, oceanic submerged lands extending seaward of the coastline of the Northern Mariana Islands as a result of the covenant by the people of the Commonwealth to place themselves under the sovereignty of the United States.

      While I was in Quarantine in the Hotel in Saipan, I went on FB Market Place, and Subscribed to ALL the "Saipan Buy & Sell" Pages. This is the way you find everything in Saipan, this is the way you Buy a Car, this is the Way you Find an Apartment, this is the way you find out which Restaurants to go to, just go to FB Groups and Search "Saipan Buy & Sell" or just Search "Saipan" and Join ALL those Groups. Real Estate Agents post Apartment Rentals in those Groups. Right now there are lots of Apartment Complexes that are Opening Up, Sunshine Apts on the Hill going up to Capital Hill just Opened up and have some really nice places if you have a Car. There is a Hotel in Garapan that Rents out Apts, actually there are two or Three Hotels in Garapan that Rent their Rooms as Apts. You just have to walk around the area you want to live and talk to people, they will tell you who to talk to -to rent the place. Many places don't even post Signs, yet they have lots of Rooms for Rent. There is an Apt Complex in Susupe that is almost completely empty, they would LOVE to Rent you an Apt. There are a couple more on Middle Road. You can also rent a Room long term at the Golden Beach Hotel until you find something. Almost every Hotel will rent you a Room Long Term because there are no Tourists. There is no Shortage of Real Estate here at all. Right across the Street from the Abandoned Castle that I filmed, is a Huge Manson you can Rent right now. But you would need a Car. If you don't have a Car, just look for something in Garapan, because everything is close if you live in Garapan. And half of Garapan is empty Buildings so you can find a place pretty easy. Just walk down the street. HOWEVER,...I have a Chinese Girl that does Real Estate, and she can help you look for a place if you give her some money. She can talk to all the Chinese Landlords and hook you up. Just e-mail me when you get here:

    what I want to know right now is how to I shop on ebay and get my items delivered, what about large items like an ebike from ebay, assuming they ship it the same as any other state the large po box is not big enough to fit a bike so what do you do?

    • @marksawesomeadventures
      @marksawesomeadventures  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      They have Private Postal Boxes, these companies will hold large items and some will even call you on the phone if you get something big. You just can't leave it there for more than a couple days.

      Think about it as if you are living in the US, now ask yourself the same Questions. Here many of the Buildings DO NOT have an Address number on them. So in many places most people here use a postal box from either a US Post Office or a private company. If you receive a large item you cannot just leave it there, you have to pick it up. Is there another option! Yes ship your Bike through Triple B forwarding Frieght Shipping Service, and pick it up from them when you get here.

    Could someone from the mainland that lives on move there and live full time on a $1700 a month budget

    • @marksawesomeadventures
      @marksawesomeadventures  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      YES, I have a One Bedroom apt, I am paying total about $500 a month, But you are going to have to evaluate your expenses a little. Do you know how to Cook? If not Food might be a little expensive eating out every day. But there are Lots of Chinese Restaurants that have Lots of Dishes for under $15, but just one meal a day that is around $450 a month. And you're gonna have to Tip them or they are going to start cutting down your Serving Size. Are you Married? If not, that could be a Problem, I have said this a Dozen times but I still see Single Guys coming here, and they still don't have any Women! THERE ARE NO WOMEN HERE! VERY VERY FEW. So if you don't have a Woman, Mexico or Thailand is probably a Better Option.
      If you have a Wife, then this place could work for you, because it is a U.S. Territory. So U.S. Citizens can come here to Live. This place doesn't have Women to Chase, no Home Depot, or Walmart, or or any of the Big Box Stores, Only McDonalds, Taco Bell, KFC, and Pizza Hut and Subway, that is about American as it gets, they have Thai Food, Chinese Food, Filipino Food, Korean Food, but not much American Style Food. It is a Good Place to get away from the Craziness in the U.S. Though this place is much more Peaceful than ANY PLACE in the U.S.

    I’m surprise you chose saipan instead of guam

    • @marksawesomeadventures
      @marksawesomeadventures  2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Guam is a US Territory, if the Communists completely take over the US they will try to control Guam as well, and Guam must follow US LAWS, Saipan is under the Jurisdiction of the United Nations, therefore Saipan and the rest of the CNMI does not necessarily have to Follow US Laws, they can make up their Own Rules and Laws In Saipan. Guam can't do that. Also Saipan has WAY better Beaches than Guam. I will probably do a whole Video about the Differences between Guam and Saipan, but Saipan is going to evolve into a MUCH better place than Guam. I can see this Happening, and Saipan might even out shine Hawaii, because Hawaii will definitely fall under the Control of the Communists. As more and more Americans Escape the US Craziness and come to Saipan this is going to create a lot of Development here in Saipan. Which will make it more like Hawaii, yet in a way it will be BETTER than Hawaii, because Saipan will be more FREE than Hawaii. Also I came to Saipan because Saipan is WAY more Asian than Guam. Guam has more Crime and Violence than Saipan. I was looking for Peace when I came here, and a place I could grow. That's why I chose Saipan, but maybe I will do a whole video comparing Guam and Saipan. Thanks for watching.
