I've been to Saipan many times over the past twenty years. It's a beautiful island and the Chamoro people are terrific hosts. Respectfully, I think your logic has a fatal flaw. You have left the mainland because you thought immigration policy would result in dilution or ultimate replacement of the dominant culture. The place you have chosen is the island of Saipan, where you are playing a very similar role of helping to displace the Chamoro culture.

The CNMI and Guam are both US territories. So the USA has full sovereignty over these islands. The UN is not in control of the CNMI, while that was a longtime ago, that is not the case today. Also it was the Spanish, then Germany, then Japanese, and now the USA. The residents of Saipan and the rest of the CNMI, are born US citizens, and the federal laws also apply to Saipan. So Saipan, along with the rest of the CNMI, and Guam are still a part of the United States. Sorry to burst your bubble, but you’re still in the USA.
Yeah but CNMI and Guam are different, CNMI has Authority over the laws here, Guam does not have Authority over U.S. Laws. One Prime example of this is Chicken Fights which are Illegal by U.S. Laws yet permitted to operate here.
This is important (the reason I mentioned it) because at the time I left CNN and other U.S. News Media were talking about killing white people just like the Nazis were Killing Jews. The idea is that IF the U.S. started rounding up White people and Killing them, like the Nazis did to the Jews, I didn't think CNMI would follow those ideas, where as ANYTHING the U.S. does Guam MUST Follow.
@@mark-evans Huh, I thought that since the CNMI, was a U.S. commonwealth, along with having birth right citizenship, that they would have to follow laws from the federal government. Especially since the Supreme Court and the department of the interior has control over the territories. The CNMI is under the Federal minimum wage regulations, and the Federal immigration law among others.

Yeah, I have not put enough time in to studying Decision making, but that is probably because I was too busy doing my Job in the U.S. Air Force watching people I met get shot in the back of the head by NPA Sparrow Units, and trying to keep from getting killed myself, they almost got me twice. So I guess I was a little distracted.

I'll start working there in a couple months but hope I don't have fearful conversations with fellow expats like this. It's kind of ironic that you moved from one location to another out of fear. Which is the same reason a lot of those "dangerous" people you mentioned try to immigrate to the states.
As Americans we are blessed. But I wish more Americans could try and understand that much of the world can only dream of what we have.

I lived in the Philippines for 2 years, I Lived in Mexico for 12 years, I have been to Thailand 4 times, and Korea I spent 3 months, I am very familiar with what life is like in other Countries, but we cannot solve all the World's Problems. Our Government does not have a Big Blank Check in the Sky, the entire Economy in the U.S. is about to crumble, and the Democrats act completely oblivious to it all. When they care more about Ukraine's Borders than they do about Securing Our Borders, then I have to assume the people in Charge do not actually care for the people in this Country.

Running away to an isolated Island is something that now everyone might be able to do. The fact that this system is broken, doesn't make me a coward and less makes me run away from reality. Instead, I would put my trust in The Lord because there's no way to escape from what is coming.
China already did that in the US. Barbara Boxers husband was(is) super rich. He bankrolled her political campaign to benefit them and only them. It was found out that her driver of 20 years was in a fact a Chinese spy. His thing is to get places like Samoa, Guam, Saipan that they are not "technically" the US. So therefore the workers are not given the same minimum wage status or workers rights. This is what started the immigration boom there. They then go and set up factories that are "Made in the USA" and the workers are paid slave wages and have terrible conditions. People in the US were proudly buying garments thinking they were American workers but were in fact seveely abused and under paid Chinese women. When it was no longer needed to have these factories because the quota act ended they simply closed down and thousands of destitute immigrants were left to wander the streets of Saipan. It's these shady deals that happen all over and the public has no knowledge of them that leads to perpetual destitution of places like Saipan, Samoa, and many others. Its huge in Africa as well.
Saipan had a history of Slavery, I'm not going to deny it, I was here in 1988 and I saw it for myself, but there was nothing I could do about it then. So that's the history of the Island, same like the Worst Tank Battle in American History it HAPPENED it was REAL, over 50,000 Japanese people DIED here on Saipan. That is the History, that is REAL, it HAPPENED, but what evolved as a Result of that History is what makes Saipan Island BETTER than Hawaii. What Saipan is NOW is much different than it's history, and no Chinese Mafia has control over Saipan now I assure you, if they did the Sunshine Casino would not be completely Empty and Abandoned. That one Building is a Testament to the US Govenment Control Over the Island and the Anti- Slavery Anti- Money Laundering Laws that the US Imposed on Saipan. I would have to say Saipan, because the Rent and the Food on Guam is going to be more Expensive, Saipan has lots of Opportunities for Growth, so you might actually be able to start a Business on Saipan and then you would not have to rely completely on your Soc. Sec. money. Guam is WAY more Competitive. And as we get Older Security becomes more of an Issue, Guam has WAY more Crime and Violence than Saipan. So in My Opinion, SAIPAN Wins in all Categories for this Topic!

I do better here now on about $45K a year than I did in Detroit 16 years ago making $56K. A HUGE part is taxes. No fed income tax here. 6-11% local income tax rate. You can get a 2 BR apt for $500 and a lot of other things are cheap here. Gas is expensive about $5 a gallon but the place is small, so no big commutes. Frankly moving here was the best thing I ever did!

hey I'm sorry I didn't reply sooner I am busy with my other Channel, I lived in Oahu for 10 years, I liked it but Oahu now is WAY too Up town for me, I feel Saipan will appeal to people who are looking for that REAL Island Style Living, not the Glamorized stuff you see in Hawaii. Hawaii has Surf, here there is a Coral Reef which makes it hard to Surf, Hawaii is a huge Mix of people, here it is 60% Filipinos, 10% Chinese, 5% Koreans, 10% Japanese, 5% White Americans and White Russians, and 10% Islanders so it is WAY WAY Different than Hawaii. But I like it, I think it feels BETTER than Hawaii in many ways. There is Way Less Crime here than in Hawaii, this Island is Truly a Peaceful Place. Hawaii is no where NEAR Peaceful. In Hawaii you hear the word "Haole" that don't use that Word in Saipan. AT ALL! Think about that for just a moment. :D The beaches here are just as nice if not BETTER than Hawaii, you just can't Surf them. The Opportunities here are ten times BETTER than Hawaii, because no one knows about this place. :D

I’m planning in retiring in Guam or Saipan in a couple of years I’m former military US Army/ reserves and want to live the Island life while eating natural foods like fruits and vegetables from the island and go fishing as well. I like to find an apartment that’s is near the market and shopping areas. I’m not planning on working there ether. I’m glad I found your channel because I hope you can help me with a few questions about living in Saipan. Like how’s the VA Clinic there? Is it up to speed? Because I’ve seen online that there only open two days out of the week. So were does a VA member go if they have an emergency on those off days? Plus I’m doing some research by watching Kuam8 news on TH-cam and I’ve heard that there’s some kind of racial discrimination by renting the apartments to the Chinese only. Others places are being bought out and the tenants has up to 15 to 30 day to clear out. That to me is kinda scary and won’t want that to happen to me.
As far as I am aware only ethnic islanders are allowed to own property in the Marianas Islands. Outsiders are only allowed to lease from natives for periods as long as 55 years.

You are mistaken on Saipan’s legal status being separate from the US. Saipan is part of the CNMI(Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands), which is also a US territory just like Guam, Puerto Rico, American Samoa and Us Virgin Islands.

The First Amendment is clear that Congress shall make no laws respecting the establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise, thereof. I got a really nice set of Dive Fins and a Mask and Snorkel and a good Spear gun, and I have already practiced that Senerio a few times. There are Fruit trees here that literally grow Wild you can walk through any Jungle and pick an Arm Load of Fruit, there are Taro Plants growing everywhere (It's like a Potato) And we got Rice from Vietnam and Thailand and Philippines. My greatest concern is China trying to invade this place. :)
Just ate marlin caught off shore. I have breadfruit, taro, coconuts, mangos, papaya and coconuts growing all over the place. IF supplies do get cut, it will be gasoline. We went through grid down twice since being here, 3 months without power from Super Typhoon Yutu in 2018, so had a slight taste of shortages. I think it would not be fun, but we are in a far better place than LA or Chicago in that case.
That said, it is good to be armed.

I too have decided the only rational option is to leave the US, sadly, because the American people now face subjugation by a vicious, lawless DC or having to live through a profoundly damaging domestic war. They will help you organize your Paperwork, but it is not Free, many Filipinos pay around $1000 to these Companies to get a Job over here.

About 1% are haolies (Mainland Americans) and we have the local, indigenous Chamorros and Carolinians. A very diverse place. Anchor Baby birth tourism (for Chinese) was booming before covid...and we have had our share of human trafficking issues with the Chinese Triads.
