    Thanks mark for all that hard work putting this info video together for us.
    I found the video very informative.
    I am moving there, as a single retiree.
    A quiet and relaxing atmosphere from all the mainland headaches.
    Not looking to chase Women, or drinking, or joining any fraternities.
    I prefer a wholistic simple life style, a little house and a garden,
    No parties, No gangs No drugs.

    Great Video Mark ! Next one should be an Indepth look at Monthly Expenses. Cellphone Service. Electic Bill. Cable. Gasoline. P.O. Box. And Water. Is the Tap Water safe to drink ? Available to use ? Or is Bottled water the Norm there in Saipan ? Just waiting for my Wife to Retire too ! Thanks Again Mark !

    • @marksawesomeadventures
      @marksawesomeadventures  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I can't do a Video about that because everyone's Expenses are Different, every Phone Plan is Different, Every Internet Plan is Different, Every Apartment Rent is Different, some Apartments Include Utilities and WIFI, others make you pay for every little thing. Some Apartments don't even have a Phone Line in them!
      My Cellphone Runs from $80-$100 a Month, and I hardly talk to anyone.
      My Electric Bill is around $120 a month, but I use the AC if you Rent an Apartment that doesn't have AC you are going to save a lot.
      I Don't Watch TV so I Don't pay for Cable, (Why am I going to PAY for Commercials, ? I Pay TH-cam $12 a month for AD Free TH-cam - TH-cam Premium)
      If you have your Own Internet, it is going to Cost you around $80 a month
      I don't pay for Gas, I don't drive a Car, I ride a Bike everywhere. Gas is around $5 a Gallon.
      I pay $30 every 3 Months for my P.O. Box which is a Private Mailbox, if you get one from the Post Office the price is going to be more.
      Tap Water is Definitely NOT Drinkable!! Most of the Tap Water on Saipan comes from Rain Water that comes down the Roof down the drain pipes into a Big Tank, then an Electric Pump Pumps the Water from the Tank into the Building. The Problem is Rats and Birds get into the Tanks and Drown, and no one checks the Tanks unless the Carcass of the Animal starts plugging up the Pipes. So you have Dead animals Floating around in Tanks if they are Lazy about leaving the Covers off the Tanks. So you ARE going to have to Buy Water. I spend about $15 a Month on Water, and $15 a Month on the Garbage Collection. Everyone Buys Water in Large 5 Gallon Jugs Delivered by Trucks or you can pick up the Water at your Local Store. I don't recommend buying Individual Plastic Bottles because the Plastic has Chemicals in it, that gets into the water. I use Empty Corona Bottles for my Water. I put them in the Fridge. 😁
      Also a Big Factor is What are you going to EAT?
      If you plan on eating out everyday it is going to Cost you at least $30 a Day. $15 a Meal on Average. You can get a Taco Bell CrunchWrap for around $5.75 😁
      I Cook everything in a Rice Cooker, I eat Rice and Veggies, and different kinds of Meat. Sometimes I will buy a Package of 3 Steaks for around $20 and BBQ them off. Sometimes I buy a Pound of Hamburger for $4 and Make a Big Hamburger.
      A Large Meatlovers Pizza at Java Joe's in Dan Dan will cost around $27 (With extra Cheese)
      So it really is going to depend on What your Meal Plan is, and how you plan to Eat. You can eat Cheap, or Expensive. Beer is the Same way, Corona is $2 a Bottle, in the Store, in the Bar it goes for $6 a Bottle, American Beer is a little cheaper, but I don't drink American Beer unless I am forced to (no other choice). Cass a Korean Beer, is $1 a Can or $1 a Bottle. That's pretty reasonable for me. But I Prefer Cornona and XX Ambar when I can afford it. 😁
      I hope this helps.

    • @marksawesomeadventures

      I like your attitude, there are a few Chinese who came here thinking just like you, they rented some Land on the other side of the Island, they grow vegetables and they put them in a Pickup truck, and they drive around during sunset time to all the Restaurants and sell directly to the Restaurants and Grocery Stores. You cannot lose with a Business like that, people ALWAYS need Food. There is a Whole Abandoned Pig Farm on the other side of the Island, all you would have to do is buy the Pigs the Structures are all still there! 😁

    Thanks for all your information Mark what does it cost you for a month there to live

    • @marksawesomeadventures
      @marksawesomeadventures  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I find it very difficult to survive on less than $1200 a month. I don't have a Car. If you plan on getting a Car you will need more. I also don't go out to the Bars or Massage Parlors, if you plan on doing any Partying you will need more for that too. I don't eat extravagantly, most days I only cook Mixed Veggies and Rice, if you need to buy Steak everyday or eat Shrimp or expensive food, ADD money for that. Some stores charge as much as $60 for 4 Steaks! I can't afford to eat like that. Average price for Restaurants is around $15 a meal.

    hey mark, are the taxes any cheaper there than in the states? thanks

    • @marksawesomeadventures
      @marksawesomeadventures  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I can't give any Tax Advice, there is literally a WHOLE ARMY ARMED WITH GUNS, in the U.S. (Who act like Total Nazis) just LOOKING for people to destroy their Lives about Tax Law.
      If you want to know about Tax Law you are going to have to Look up a Tax Accountant in Saipan and Call them up on the Phone and Talk to them.
      Or do your Own Research on the Internet just Search out "CNMI Tax Laws"
      What I can say, based on MY Experience, and MY Opinion, is Saipan Tax Laws ARE Different than the U.S. it is POSSIBLE to pay Less Taxes Living here, but you are going to have to Work that out with a Tax Accounant. Basically what the Law says is 1st year you are Living here you are going to have to Pay U.S. Federal Income Tax, after you have established Permanent Residence here, (IF YOU DO NOT have ANY Property or Afiliation with the U.S. Mainland, Hawaii or Guam AT ALL) Then you can fall under CNMI Tax Laws. Which are filed differently than U.S. Taxes. For many people this CAN be significantly less money. But everyone's situation is different, so you are going to have to Consult a Tax Accountant.
      Thanks for Watching. 😁

    I just read someone say on FB that there's no planes coming into saipan! is it true? and he said that saipan is not doing so well and it's bad there! nice place but you can never own a house unless you are a native of that island. what about college? is there any college or university?

    • @marksawesomeadventures
      @marksawesomeadventures  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If you watch the Video I SHOW You Videos of the Planes and I talk about exactly how to Fly into Saipan. Watch the Video again if you missed it.
      If you want to Buy Land go to Guam. If you are not going to buy Land then what are you worried about? You can get a 50 year Land Lease, and sometimes 100 Year Land Lease, what more do you need? The Primary Focus of the Video was for Digital Nomads not people looking to buy land.
      Your friend says "It's bad here"? They are Rioting in the streets in some major Cities in the U.S. and you think it's "Bad" here? 🤣😂 That's funny 😁
      How much are YOU paying for Rent? I only Pay $350 a month for a 1 Bedroom WITH Air Conditioning! 😁

Airlines often Require either the Real ID or a U.S. Passport, this is to Track suspected Terrorists, so check with your Airline. And read the U.S. Customs Information.

    How much it cost to move their?

    • @marksawesomeadventures
      @marksawesomeadventures  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      It depends on what you plan on doing once you GET here, if you have an Income, figure, couple thousand for the plane ticket, thousand for deposit and rent, buying brooms and stuff for your apt, maybe a thousand for food and Living expenses, I would figure roughly around $4000 or $5000 would get you here and set up okay.
      I Arrived with $7000 but I made a mistake an bought a Car for $2000, and the guy ripped me off and sold me a Junker, then the Mechanic ripped me off for another $1000 so don't make those kind of Mistakes and you will do okay.

      There is Live Music at Godfather's Bar, there are Festivals every few Months that offer all kinds of Cultural Dancers, the FBI pretty much squashed all the Strip Clubs and Dancer Bars here in Saipan, so there is none of that here anymore. There is a Movie Theater, there are Illegal Chicken Fights some times, that's pretty much it.

      @@Onemanshowforever Musically you would probably be able to do okay, as far as the Comedy thing, it's a big maybe, I did Comedy in Hawaii for a while, the difference between Hawaii (for example) and here, is many of the people here understand very LIMITED English. And the things that many Americans do Comedy about here, has no Relevance, they don't care about it, so they are not going to find it Funny. That's IF they can even understand what you are saying. So not real sure how the Comedy thing might go here. You can try it, see what happens. 😁

Call them or talk to your Local SS Office and ask them if you can Move to Saipan and Transfer your Case there. I am not an Authority on the Subject, so I cannot give you advice on it. I would get your Business License to set up at the Weekend Market on Saturday and try it there for a Couple Weeks, if I was going to do that kind of thing, I think I would try to Whole Sale Distribute to all the Chinese Stores, I think you would do much better if you did that. Why work so hard? Just put your stuff in other people's stores then Fly to Thailand and Shop for other Gems and stones. 😁
