When you installed the SSD Drive for the very first time did you go into Bios and change it to AHCI and then boot up the SSD? i plan on cloning my old HDD to the SSD and been told to change the Bios to AHCI before I boot up a SSD Drive, Can you enlighten me on this?
Krystal Villatoro What brand and model number is it? Thickness shouldn’t matter as long as it’s not too think that it won’t fit, make sure it’s actually making connection inside the slot too.

emflocater Most of the time Yes you will need to do this, I honestly cannot remember for this specific laptop as I do not have it anymore.

No, not unless you can find a CD to Sata adapter for this model, thus removing the CD drive and replacing it with either a SSD or HD.
is that 2.5 7mm or 2.5 -- 9.5mm ?
I am not entirely sure, I know that 9.5mm would likely not fit but I could be wrong. It has been years since I had this computer.
