Why anyone would choose this grading company over PSA/Beckett/CGC is mind boggling to me. It’s like going out of your way to shop at dollar general when you can afford to shop elsewhere.
Not the best comparison, you can totally load up on cleaning supplies from DG when it would cost you an arm and leg from regular super market

I decided to try and grade a single card through psa. Its almost 100$ to grade 1 card after shipping and taxes and insurance omg grading is really silly lol
And that's for the cheapest tier. It literally goes up to almost 5,000$ for grading one single card for the most expensive tier.
@@Faber0k depends on the value ofc, but you’re not really supposed to only grade one card by yourself
Look at how dirty and filthy the equipment is. Just drop that unprotected card on the dusty scanner, get that bad boy in plastic and money in the bank.
so its an encapsulator that is run with the same Os as raspberry pi... with a database of stock photographs that is cross referenced by code written by... not ai. What part of this is Artificially Intelligent?... im lost ill watch this again until it makes sense
Also re: the unlimited charizard vs the 1st edition. In Japanese there is quite a difference in rarity to both which would impact the sale of the card. I am guessing the owner cracked this bad boy out 100

Needs machine learning to be AI.
Basically two years of routine scans to train it before its effective on its own.
If thats what theyre doing.
Also scans should consist of
Spot Fluorescensce lighting scan, UV lighting scan, infrared lighting scan, 42x magnification under coaxial lighting scan, and X-Ray fluorescence scans for chemical composition of stamps.
Once a machine has scanned 100's of thousands it should accurately be able to do it on its own.
That AGS 9 Moonbreon was mine and it sold right before the price spiked up for that alternate art. It was, in fact, a legitimate sale, but also unfortunate timing because I had no idea of the spike. For context, I only listed it because I try to keep very high grade gold labels only in my collection (9.5+). I'm more of a collector than a flipper. My guess is they were going to purchase it hoping it would 10 at PSA. I decided to not resubmit it because it was OC which is the primary reason it got the 9.
Also keep in mind that BGS 9 sold for a lot more after the spike happened.
The raw tcgplayer copies were right around the same price and time that the AGS 9 sold. You didn't look up prices when listing it?
@@RattlePokemon The thing is I had it listed for months and just package things up as they sell. Unlike selling on TCGplayer, ebay doesn't have the provision to automatically change pricing based on the market, at least I don't think so. So a lot of times, I'll list things and then throw them into my BCW boxes until they sell. I try to adjust pricing once a month, but the market spike sort of just happened overnight before I could really get to anything on my ebay store.

I have a lot still ungraded and graded so the AGS 9 was just something I decided to list and wait until sold because I don't like holding low grade expensive cards in my collections unless they're CGC 1s. Again, want to reiterate that I'm a collector and not really a flipper, so constantly adjusting prices on my ebay store are low on the priority list.

My AGS labels were def butchered. I submitted twice and I like the slabs but the labels and typos need to be fixed.
Crazy that an AI/ML company would not have a solution to QA labels! They need a better LLM to pull from 😂

Lol embarrassing for AGS. Sadly even the big boy grading companies have difficulty labeling Pokemon correctly. The one grader at Beckett mislabeled quite a few of my cards 😅😂
"AI", lmao, I bet it's just simple linear regression that needs to be corrected by human on a regular basis.
10000% calling it that "AI" grading isn't real - willing to bet this is scans reviewed by "graders" - accountability is great, but as we saw before with HGA, technology seems to be a crutch shady companies use to hide a lack of expertise and training among their graders
Crazy because I assume that collectors of graded cards JUST want an accurate grade. Instead of just hiring and training people to do the job correctly, let’s throw money at a glorified scanner even though a human is doing 85% of the work. I get the Ai thing is catchy and the “future” but I don’t think they understand their customer base
