  • Just recently, Honda has unveiled the brand-new Civic hybrid, which will join the lineup starting in 2025.
Both the hatchback and sedan body styles will integrate the hybrid powertrain within their respective lineups.
Other models in the 2025 Civic lineup will also undergo enhancements to their design and features, and the hybrid variant of the vehicle will be purchasable this summer.
In 2025, the Honda Civic will undergo a complete redesign, incorporating the introduction of a hybrid model. We were already informed that a gas-electric Civic would return to the lineup, but Honda has now revealed images of this new iteration. These images also showcase the updated design that will extend across the entire 2025 Civic series.
Displayed here is a 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid sedan with the Sport Touring trim level. The vehicle sports a hybrid badge at the rear, along with fresh wheels that are quite attractive. Moreover, the front bumper and grille have undergone redesigning, appearing almost as aggressive as those on the outgoing Civic Type R. Honda has also mentioned introducing new features to the 2025 Civic, although specific improvements have not yet been disclosed by the company. A version of the hybrid powertrain, also found in the larger Accord Hybrid sedan and the CR-V Hybrid SUV, lies beneath the sleek snout of the Civic Hybrid. It's conceivable that Honda may not tone down that setup as much for the smaller Civic as it does for the Euro-market Civic e:HEV, the precursor to this American version. If this holds true, then the Civic Hybrid could boast a robust 204 horsepower, significantly surpassing the 180 horsepower available in the optional turbocharged 1.5-liter I-4 gas engine of the Civic, and even the 200 horsepower offered in the Civic Si sport sedan. Despite being a direct preview of our version, the e:HEV will still deliver 181 horsepower, exceeding any other mainstream Civic. With 315 horsepower, the potent Civic Type R hot hatch will maintain its dominance over the Hybrid. Nonetheless, as the second-most powerful Civic, the Civic Hybrid is certainly noteworthy. Come on, isn't that quite exhilarating?
