  • Coming up next: Two more songs from Midian! One is quite disturbing, and the other is a brilliant commentary on our world. Guesses?

You are the ONLY other person ive found who picked up on EVERY facet of how masterfully written and beatiful this song is

Danny is simply a masterful lyricist his use of Shakespearean literary mechanisms is quite exquisite even his music videos are extremely tasteful

I rember at the age of 15 when ''Dusk an her embrace'' came out..i bought the cd which was in a small coffin case...then i put it on,not knowing anything about them..and my mind was blown away by the musicianship..i followed them since then and never regret it

Every single poem in this album is a masterpiece. You would think something that florid and obscure would be overwhelming and...well, just boring, but man, is it hard to stop eating up one verse after the other....

Midian is the city hidden to protect the all so "fearsome" monsters. This song is derived from the 1990 movie 'Nightbreed'.

Mine was “her ghost in the fog ” back in 2005 , I received a DVD “peace through superior firepower “ was hooked since .. 🤟🏽🖤

One thing I like about the album cover is that they still used real models for it. Instead of using CGI or cheap artwork, like in Godspeed, I wish they'd still have real people on the covers, like the first few albums

my highschool bf introduce COF to me and the first song was Her Ghost in the Fog. after that I fell in LOVE with the band. I was really into writing and poetry at the time and the Lyrics with Piano? that was the first time i ever heard a band use a piano and "strings" in their music. I was just like "why haven't i ever found this music before!?!"

My first Cradle song was "From The Cradle To Enslaved". I made a tape recording from a radio station that played heavy music one time per week. I immediately went and got Bittersuites.

Love your deep dive into cradle of filth's lyrics! The only channel that really does that with great knowledge. Thank you!
